Most Helpful Positive Review Purchase Now !!!!!
The name kind of through me off when I first seen it at MAC. But the lady there told me that although it is nourishing, it is good for oily skin. She applied it with the color NC50 on my skin and I was like yasssss! She also put the new pro longwear pressed powder on top with the color Dark plus and I was sold! I had to stop playing and get them both! But I also feel like they could've added the extra 15 oz considering that it retails for 32 dollars. This foundation is very buildable. It is really good for oily skin like myself. And it stays on until you need to take it off! It's worth it
Most Helpful Critical Review I'm on the fence
Okay first of all, I found that this foundation applies best with a brush. For some reason with a beauty blender it really thins it out and applies splotchy.
Second of all, it has really good coverage but GOD FORBID you have an itch on your face girl... if you scratch away at this or touch your face AT ALL it will come off, look super messed up and you will not be able to blend it out or apply anything more to fix it. I always get itchy on the creases of my nose and corner of my eyes and jeez..... this foundation does NOT do well in those areas.
Lastly, removing this makeup is really harsh on your skin. I have dry acne skin and honestly it's a nightmare. It does not want to come off. So you better have a good oil based remover.
I like the coverage of this foundation and its good for a summer day that you're gonna be sweating a lot, but it's water proof and I cant even touch my face with it on and honestly that annoys the **** out of me so..... idk. I set it with a powder and it just looks really cakey and dry. I wont buy it again.
Also, it oxidizes so if you do purchase, get one shade lighter.
Reviewed by 825 customers Waste of money, horrible quality and awful texture
Kirivette from FORT SMITH,AR
I never expected the low quality of this product and doesn't blend with the skin at all.
The texture is horrible with creamy patches.
Ladyk from Riverside
I miss the old formula this new one did not go well with my skin I need to start looking for a new foundation I wouldn't recommend this product it was very disappointing.
Music festival approved!!!!!
Sofia from Sacramento
I just went to Tampa,FL for a 2 day music festival and boooooy let me tell you it was hot as hell and humid I was sweating and going hard and this foundation did not budge at all! It did crease but that's to be expected. Ten ten recommend for sure this and then add the studio fix powder foundation on top for those with oily skin. Will definitely buy again
Love the finish and very long lasting!!
Gwen from Los Angeles
I have been wearing this foundation for years and nothing I've tried lasts as long as this foundation. It does require a decent primer and setting it with makeup forever banana powder gives it the perfect finish! I apply this with a silicone blender. Lasts all day and night without touch ups.
Baba L from Forest Hill, MD
This foundation applies smoothly and blends beautifully, giving my face a flawless finish! It also wears very well in humid conditions and doesn't rub off. I can't believe it doesn't have a higher rating because I get compliments on how nice my skin looks when I wear this foundation.

I wear NW13 in both Studio Fix Powder and Studio Fix Fluid and it is perfect. I was hoping to get a foundation that would not transfer to my mask because I switch between teaching in person and online throughout the day. I was hoping to no longer have to fix my makeup constantly. I ordered this in my regular NW13, sadly it is not the same color. It is much lighter and makes me look ghostly.
That said, it does last all day and does not transfer to my mask. It goes on smoothly and if it were the correct color I would be in love with it. I am extremely disappointed that I cannot trust that shades will be the same across products, especially since it it labeled as the same shade. This is definitely something that should be corrected. Sadly I live over two hours away from the nearest MAC store and have no way to try to determine the correct color. Plus, I have a foundation that I cannot use.
Pro Longwear Foundation

Shade are way to dark
Daniela from Miami
All the foundations I use are medium neutral, since I read this was highly pigmented I bought the light-medium neutral and it was waaaaay too dark and yellow (see the attached pictures, compared to my other foundations and the one with the arrow is this mac) also after super blending it out, the shade was still to dark and yellow. Not worth it especially for such a high price I can't even use it, I look terrible fake.

For the love of God please bring back the original prolong wear foundation
I would rebuy but in a deeper tone

Nothing great about it . It's just ok probably would try something different on next purchase
Good quality foundation
DrMDL from Pocono mountains
Thia foundation blends well, has medium coverage and a wide variety of shades. It will not suffice for full coverage, but is a good all around foundation.
Replacement product not great
Sharona from Ohio
I agree with other reviews that this product is not nearly as good as the old Prolongwear foundation. I have used that for many years and was then switched to the Studio fix foundation. Don't like the smell of the Studio Fix not the shades available. Not the same as before. Apparently Prolongwear has been discontinued and replaced with a new one that isn't nearly as good. Why mess with something that was great? Will need to search for a different product but not the Studio Fix.
The product is simply waste of money, horrible when applied
Sree from Fremont
I have earlier used other MAC foundations, but never expected the product to be very low quality and doesn't blend with skin at all. I have used it 4 times and all times have to wash face because of creamy patches that doesn't blend.
Love it prowess nourishing foundation
Brie from Signal Hill
I have combination skin and hormonal breakouts and a little acne scaring. I didn't have to use anything but this foundation and it covers my scars and goes a long way with a natural Mat finish. There should however be more shades. It works for women of color and I hope MAC keeps this on the market
PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD PRO LONGWEAR!!
Nina from 🇲🇾
Why did you discontinued my holy grail product?! Why Mac im so disappointed with the new formula!! Please bring back the old Pro Longwear Foundation!! Even Mac Studio cant beat the Prolongwear i just dont get it why you discontinued it!! Mac Studio still bad for me cakey and not even full coverage!!
Not for dry skin
Danielle from Oklahoma
I have very dry skin and was looking for something that had full coverage and was moisturizing. This foundation had great coverage but was still very drying for my skin, may be good for combination skin though!
Did not match me
Rocio from Salem
It has great coverage, but it does not match me I hope I can return it an exchange it for a tone that matches me
Bored T from Melbourne, FL
Use with brush and nice match to skin tone
Would Not Recommend
Lovee from Fashion Show Mall , Las Vegas NV
Definitely would not consider this product to have full coverage at all . Before spending $30+ on this foundation, I would recommend Milani or Maybelline Fit Me. However , the pigment was AMAZING .
Tasha from Detroit, mi
This is my favorite and the only foundation I will use! It's seamlessly blends and lasts all day! I couldn't live without it
Works well for my dry skin
RM from St. Peters, MO
Purchased this on a whim at my local Ulta when my usual shade (NC37) for the studio fix fluid foundation was out of stock. The MAC employee suggested that I try NC38 because this range runs a little lighter the studio fix fluid, and the shade matches me exactly. The formula is more runny than the studio fix fluid but still easy to blend. It leaves a natural glowing finish and feels lighter than the studio fix. I can wear this the entire workday and a sweaty workout without the foundation breaking apart on my face or accentuating dry spots (I do use primer and setting spray which likely help). I think this transfers a lot less than the studio fix also. I will likely repurchase when I'm finished with this tube. The only cons are that the formula is more runny than the studio fix and that it comes in a tube. I prefer bottle with a pump applicator, but I don't mind the tube.
Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation
Traplady from New Rochelle, NY
I live this foundation & the coverage, but the big downside is, it doesn't have any SPF, so it defeats the purpose of wearing it to the beach or pool
Cher from Orlando
Let me start by saying I have tried literally every foundation on the market from Chanel, to Armani, Lancôme etc. either the foundation was to dull, dry, not enough coverage, too heavy. But this foundation paired with the mineralize skin finished natural is the absolute perfect combination your skin looks flawless doesn't look thick or cakey!

I have been using Mac products for years. I had always used the old Pro Longwear formula, which was perfect and, by far, better than other brands. Why companies change a product that is a top seller baffles me. This new formula is terrible. It doesn't cover well and creases into my fine lines..yes I use a Mac primer to help. Also if you just even barely touch a spot on your face, the makeup comes off. It doesn't last all day either. I have tried every existing formula you currently have. Studio Fix just doesn't come close to replacing the old Pro Longwear formula even when trying to 'build' coverage. I am now looking for another brand to purchase. I'll keep coming back to your website to see if the old formula is back, if it is I'll come back in a flash. Until then, time to search elsewhere. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD PRO LONGWEAR!!
