I actually never tried the old formula (so I have nothing that could compare to the new one to leave some sort of disappointment!) I do makeup professionally for weddings and have used this on my own skin (32 y/o) and up to 50 something skin, and I think it is SO beautiful. I use it underneath foundation, and I feel like my makeup looks flawless when I wear it! I will say that I typically opt for a more natural/slightly dewy finish now instead of a super matte face like others do. It's an amazing primer! I feel very confident when I use it!Most Helpful Critical ReviewThe old formulation was fantastic!As an MUA and Beauty Advisor, I try A LOT of products! The OG Primed and Poreless was one of my go to products for not only myself, but for so many different skin types and tones! When I received the new formula I was shocked at the difference between the two. The new formulation does have a few extra "better for you" ingredients. However, in that same breath, it's lacking a few good ones as well. Also it doesn't hold makeup or even stay in place nearly as well sadly. This is not one I'd recommend now on oily or sensitive skin unfortunately. Even my dry skin doesn't do well with it. Very sad as again, it was a go to for myself. The new formulation must be pressed into the skin very well, and only in places where it's a must. While this isn't uncommon and usually what I recommend for most pore fillers, the original was so easy to apply! The OG could be placed like many standard primers, but still filled in pores and even fine lines. It also lasted very well on so many skin types. The new also isn't good around sensitive eyes, and I've noticed some that wear contacts having a few issues. This was one (original formula) I could toss on even if I was not going to be wearing makeup. It was easy and very effective! Although I feel it will be great for some, it won't be great for many. Both formulations could be offered maybe. But unfortunately, this one really made me sad. Hopefully they will see that it's not the same.
