Q&A

Q
What is the best way ro clean this product ?
Asked by Kiwi
Official Answer By Diane - Brand Engage
To clean a boar bristle brush, remove hair and debris using a comb or brush cleaner. Then, create a cleaning solution with warm water and a mild shampoo or soap. Dip the brush into the solution and gently scrub the bristles with a soft-bristled brush or toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and towel dry the brush, then let it air dry completely with the bristles facing down. Please keep in mind wood is a porous material, so avoid soaking the brush in water which can eventually warp the handle. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this product zero waste?
Asked by Olivia
Official Answer By Diane - Brand Engage
The Diane Oak Wood 100% Boar Styling Brush is not officially certified as zero waste, but it does feature some more sustainable elements. The brush does not contain adhesive. The bristles are made from 100% natural boar hair, rather than synthetic fibers. The handle is made from natural oak wood, which is more eco-friendly than plastic alternatives, however it does have a varnish on it. We hope this helps answer your question. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this brush for any ethnicity?
Asked by Shaun
Official Answer By Diane - Brand Engage
Diane’s 100% Boar Oak Wood Styling Brush has soft bristles and can be used for a variety of hair textures depending on the technique. As a detangler it would be best suited to thinner, fine hair. As a smoothing brush it can be used for slicked-back ponytails or buns on any hair texture and even for beard and mustache grooming. Additionally, our boar brush is used by men with textured hair to form and maintain wave styles. Was this answer helpful to you

Bristles fell out

I have somewhat thicker hair, so I didn't have super high hopes for this (for me specifically), but the first time I used it, it didn't get through any of my hair and the bristles started falling apart. Definitely returning and trying another brand

Tried to use for brush-out before washing/conditioning. Bristles are short and very soft. Difficult to get through my fine but thick hair. Will return.

I have long curly 3a-3b curls. I chose a soft boar bristle brush to avoid breakage. The firm boar bristles felt nice on my scalp but was too harsh on the lengths of my hair. It does well at cleaning any lint/debree, distributes sebum from roots to ends, and smooths down hair cutitcles. This will only work if you brush in small detangled sections and will look better if you braid your hair after brushing. It's def worth the effort to maintain healthy hair. I would reccomend! This is a fantastic brush 😊

I purchased this for my dog;due to skin condition which is improving. Due to my Boxer having short coat and hair loss this brush has been a huge help it's very soft and really well made. I would have liked if brush was slightly larger..

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
