How to Use
Rated 4.4 out of 5 stars
I returned several flat irons until I was recommended this one. It is so much better than the previous Paul Mitchell. This one heats up FAST and it let's you know when it has reached the temp. My hair is thick and frizzy and this sleeks it smooth in half the time. I have long hair and also use an ion heat protection spray you can find at Sally's beauty.
I have used PM smoothing irons for 15 years. I have NEVER had one that pulls my hair out. There is some faulty craftsmanship with this model. It does all it claims to do but also pulls out strands of my hair every time. Those strands of hair end up caught inside the inner part of the handle. I have made a complaint to PM in hopes they are able to correct this issue.

I have been using this flat iron for at least two years and was very pleased, until the top coating began to peel off. I have never used any chemicals to clean it. This flat iron is not a good purchase. Paul Mitchell will not refund or replace it if it is not under the warranty.

I have had mine for at least 6 years now and I still absolutely love and still get complements on it when my friends use it. Only straightener that works on my hair!
Dani from Baton Rouge
I got this straightener after my old straightener broke. It was starting to pull and break my hair. After reading others reviews I decided to get a Paul Mitchell straightener. I will never change straighteners.

I bought this for my daughters birthday, and she loves it. It straightens much better than the CHI I had and curls great too! I will definitely be buying myself one!

I have used other brands in different price points but I splurged on this one after my stylists used it on me and OMG! my hair is left silky, smooth and shiny every time! no more frizzy hairs!! my oldest steals it from me to do hers because she can tell the huge difference between this and her Chi lol. we both have fine to medium hair and this works miracles! will be purchasing as a gift for my daughter tho. need mine back lol

I love this straightener, I've used cheaper kinds over the years, but this is the best for my coarse hair. I'll never use any other kind!

I love this flatiron. It was pricey but worth the cost. We'll see how well it does in summer's humidity.

Absolutely love this straightener. I use a Flat Iron perfecter spray before straightening hair and one pass and your hair is done.

I'm actually going to return this product. I've had it for a week & used it 3 times. Every single time it pulls random strands of my hair no matter if it's sectioned off or if I'm just using the flat iron to smooth over. I really Prefer the Babyliss pro and will be re-purchasing that tool. I do really enjoy my Paul Mitchell curling wand.

This straightener has floating plates... for me and my thin hair that's a bad thing. They do not perfectly align with each other without applying a lot of pressure. For example, if you close the straightener until it meets and hold up to a light, you will see light shine through part of the plates. Once you squeeze harder and the plates move, then it closes all the way and evenly. This is why hair is getting snagged and being pulled. It's tight in one spot but not another. For bangs or thin hair this straightener will not work for you.

I use this daily. Love the temp settings and how it smooths my hair without frying it like other irons I've had in the past. Definitely worth the little extra money!!

Best straightener I have ever owned. I have very wavy long hair that frizzes easy, when I used this straightener it smoothed out my hair.

I purchased this directly from PM. I absolutely love love love this flat iron! My hair is either 4A or 4B and a little longer than BSL. I used this flat iron on 410 degrees F in combination with a bristle tension brush and the results were incredible. For the most part the flat iron glided down my hair smoothly and my hair came out very straight and silky. I also have a Babyliss Titanium flat iron but I'm so in love with this one I'll likely never reach for the Babyliss as long as this one is working.

I have the Neuro Smooth XL and I absolutely love this flat iron! It's so sleek and pretty to look at. I have very thick, coarse hair and using this flat iron on 410 degrees (F) leaves my hair extremely smooth and silky. I did notice a bit of pulling at my ends but that could be that I was squeezing the plates too hard. Otherwise, it glides down my hair really smoothly. I'm very happy with my purchase

My hair stylist recommend this hair straightener. I have a love it because it heats up quickly and you can set it to turn off within 60 min. I did notice that it pulls my hair when using it. Overall I love my purchase.

After 8 years my neuro straightener finally gave out! I bought the exact same one but I realized that my new one didn't day "Paul Mitchell" under the neuro logo like my old one does. Does anyone know if this is a new design or did I get the wrong straightener? The pictures listed show the brand and looks just as my old one did so I'm a little confused about it.

I set the temp. to 320 F. I put heat protecting spray in my hair, leave-in conditioner. I was unable to get the curls I have been watching on you tube videos. I just think it made my hair dry and broken looking, made it frizzy. I bought the 1,.25 in. I returned. I'll try the ghd flat iron next.

I recomend this one to my family and friends

This is the best flat iron! I'm about to buy my second one!

I really wanted to like this straightener but I've bought it twice now and both times it's died within a few uses. It also has a bad design by the plates and pulls out hair. :(
Kellie B from Milwaukee, Wi
I've had this flat iron for 3 years now and it's by far the best I've used! Heats up quickly and the plates still look new! I love it!
Lisa from Ky
My first one I had to return because it stopped heat up after 3 mos. the one they replaced it with lasted two years.. it just shuts off constantly while using it!
