Most Helpful Positive Review Love this shampoo! I've recently done a hair product overhaul and am only using products with better ingredients. I was hesitant to get this since at the time it had no reviews, but I'm so glad I went for it. Don't be afraid of the apple cider vinegar aspect - it smells lemony, kind of like pez. It lathers a lot, with minimal product. I was surprised at how well it cleaned my hair. Sometimes all natural shampoos lack cleaning power. I only wash my hair every 4 days, with lots of dry shampoo in between, and I feel like it got it very clean, but not drying. I'm so glad I tried and will continue to buy. I got the conditioner, too, and love it!
Most Helpful Critical Review Not worth the price I have occasionally bad seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp, and this shampoo was recommended due to the apple cider vinegar. I believe it made things worse, right away. I had itchiness and even more inflammation than before, and my hair was very dry. Can't recommend it. Maybe for someone without scalp issues, and maybe with the conditioner, it's better.

I saw that my previous hair stylist sold this at her salon so I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, my scalp did not like it. My scalp immediately became super flaky, dry and itchy. Even my boyfriend noticed his hair had gotten itchy since using this shampoo. I've used at least a third of the bottle so far and wanted to finish it but it's not worth it. Will be switching to a new product asap.

I use this shampoo weekly. It's my go to. I'd recommend trying a clarifying shampoo first if you use heavy products then use this one. It definitely cleans well when the hair is fully saturated with water. Follow up with the conditioner.

I bought this shampoo on the recommendation of my curly hair stylist for my chronic itchy scalp. This is my first time using it outside of the salon but I'm pleased with it except for the pump which doesn't work. I'll update after a few more uses.

Loved the shampoo. Used it once a week as it is a bit drying but my hair felt so clean afterwards. Waited to finish the entire bottle before writing this review. I would pass on the conditioner and probably use the shampoo with a different brand conditioner

When I first started using this, I had to wash my hair every 3 days bc I have a chronic itchy scalp. The amount of time in between washes has been increasing, probably because of the ACV.
This shampoo is extremely concentrated. I have long type 4 hair, extremely thick and dense almost to my waist. I gently put my hair in two halves, put about half a pump onto my hands, rub my hands together to emulsify the shampoo, then use that amount on my scalp. I then use half a pump to a pump max to rub on my hair. Using 1.5 pumps every wash day, I wouldn't be surprised if this jumbo value size lasts me a year or more.

I love how clean this shampoo makes my hair feel but it is a bit drying. I feel it's over priced. I will only use this shampoo maybe once or twice a weeks until it's gone. I won't purchase it again. Just to drying for my hair type.

I moved to Alaska from PA and the water here is horrible, I never thought water could make that much of a difference until after a couple weeks of living here my hair became absolutely FRIED. Went to ulta and was suggested this product, used it once and IMMEDIATE difference in hair, I have blue hair and it hasn't faded my color, smells WONDERFUL (an herbal type smell) and leaves my hair so soft. Big game changer, only con is price but I think it's worth it

It's a good natural and plant based shampoo, but my hair doesn't agree with it well. It left it greasy and dry. I noticed the shampoo is very thick and almost like concentrated so I have to be careful with how much I use and water it down a little bit. Still my hair was left a little greasy at the roots even just the day after showering. I wish they made a different formula for different hair types.

This is a great all purpose shampoo when you need a little more cleaning than a moisturizing shampoo. Smells great and leaves your hair and scalp feeling refreshed and clean. Also like that it's all natural and does not contain Parabens and silicones.

Buying this shampoo was a splurge for me as I usually use more budget friendly options. However, I am happy I spent the money. I love that one of the main ingredients is apple cider vinegar. My hair feels super clean and healthy. Not stripped. Everything you could need in a shampoo!

LOVEEEEE this shampoo. It's a nice balance of clarifying and moisturizing and I get a really nice clean out of this. The only con is the jelly/gooey substance this product forms on the bottom of the pump. It make it difficult to get product out so I have to open the bottle to clean off the jelly/gooey stuff. Other than that, it's GREAT! For reference I have 4b hair.

I first tried this product in the summer hair sampler...absolutely loved it! A few years back my thyroid went bonkers and I lost two-thirds of my hair. I had super thick wavy, some natural curl, auburn hair. Now my one pony tail is half the size of what one pig tail would have been in the past. This shampoo smells great, it's uplifting and herbal. It detangles the rough/dry curls I have now and with the use of the conditioner and leave in spray, my hair is soft, super curly and finally coming back to life. Whether i use this AG line or their Fast Food line, my hair has responded with new life, and I have never been happier with it! When my order arrived, however-I was bummed, the shampoos had leaked all over the box. I lost about a 1/5 of a bottle...so I called customer service and they are replacing the two shampoos! Thank you so much Ulta for the wonderful customer service! The associate was absolutely wonderful-kind and funny! Thanks for being such a sweetheart! And thanks Ulta for upholding your promise to great customer service!!!

I bought this shampoo off the recommendation of my hair stylist, but I do not like it. It irritates my scalp, and I find that it both dries my hair out, and makes it greasier faster. I am trying to use it up since it was so expensive, but I can't wait for it to be gone so I can get a new shampoo! Would not recommend!

it worked very well with making my hair color last (red hair) only issue is I have curly hair felt like it just dried out my hair more for some reason and it didn't do a good job cleansing the day after my boyfriend would find buildup near my scalp maybe this would work better for straight thin hair that's what my boyfriend had and it made his hair super soft

This shampoo isn't very good for all hair types. It left my hair feeling greasy and heavy. Every time I rinsed, it would still feel heavy, and have eso me sort of film left on my hair. I am definitely returning this because it's not doing what it's intended to do.

I purchased this in store a week ago after my hair dresser used it on my hair at an appointment. I think it might be a defective bottle but I'm not sure. It's so hard to pump and it comes out in a sticky jell-o consistency. I tried cleaning out the straw to the pump but it keeps happening. Super bummed.

I was looking for a clarifying shampoo because my hair needed it badly. I was about to buy another one, but asked the girl at ULTA her opinion, since I am no expert. She recommended this one, for natural hair, since that is what her stylist uses for her natural hair too. The price made me hesitant, but OMG, I am elated I tried it. It smells good, lathers extremely well, and my hair was very clean, but not stripped. As recommended, I did follow up with a moisturizing shampoo as well, conditioned and deep conditioned. I will not use it every week, only as needed, but it is definitely part of my hair arsenal now. Love it!!!!

This was just not for me. I imagine if you have a different hair type/texture, it could be a great fit! I have very straight thin hair that gets oily at the roots. Using this shampoo and the corresponding conditioner, my hair looks greasy as soon as it is dry (I don't blow dry my hair). I tried using different water temperatures, rinsing longer, using no conditioner, etc., but nothing helped. My hair feels clean but really greasy with this. It's just not for me, but like I said: try it if you have different hair types!

I have high porosity high density 2C/3A curls. My hair absolutely loves this product. Like someone else stated, it gives the perfect reset to my hair. It feels like I'm getting a good wash when I'm using it, also. It is not drying. The smell isn't the best, but it does not bother me.

This along with the boost conditioner is changing my hair! It balances it perfect! I don't even have to wet it or do much styling in the morning. My hair is Salt and Pepper and VERY dry. This leaves it beautiful! No frizz!!!! I'm in LOVE! Worth every penny!
