Q
Can you use it for a few days on dry color fine treated hair then switch back to progressed thinning color treated shampoo and conditioner.
Asked by Suz
Official Answer By Joico - Brand Engage
Hi Sue! Thank you for your question. Based on what you have shared for Fine/Dry Hair the Joico HydraSplash Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner would be our recommendation. The Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo & Conditioner is formulated for Thick/Coarse Dry Hair and may be too heavy for your hair. Hope this helps clarify! ✨💕Was this answer helpful to you
Q
How can a product with so much alcohol increase moisture to hair?
Asked by Legallliz
Official Answer By Joico - Brand Engage
Hi Legallliz! Thank you for your question. There are different kinds of alcohols. Alcohols are used for a variety of reasons and not all alcohols are the type that can be drying to hair. Cetearyl and Stearyl Alcohols are solids known as fatty alcohols (not drying) which add structure and are used in almost all haircare emulsions. Benzoyl Alcohol is part of our preservative system, allowing us to eliminate older preservatives that are considered formaldehyde donors and/or parabens. And the Isopropyl Alcohol comes to us as part of a conditioning ingredient. During manufacturing and the heated phase of the formulation process, there is little to none left in the formula to have any drying effect once manufactured. Hope that helps clarify! ✨💕Was this answer helpful to you

Wonderful for thick course hair!

I get both the shampoo and conditioner for my partner who doesn't have a lot of hair, but has a VERY course/thick/curly beard. He doesn't know much about hair care and I have been teaching him the ways. As long as it works, he doesnt care about fragrance. This particular one smells strongly of lilac...

A lil confused

The first time I used this shampoo on my kinky textured hair, my hair matted and tangled like nobody's business. I decided not to ditch it because it was fairly expensive so I've been using it for over a month now. I have to say that my hair is dryer than it was before I started using it, which is c...

Disappointing

By Jay

From Los Angeles

I know every experience is unique and subjective. Personally, I have bleached, wavy hair. Despite having color treated my hair a few months prior to trying this shampoo, my hair was soft, thick, and manageable. However, my unfiltered water was giving me dandruff at the time, which is why I decided to try this product. WORST mistake ever. It significantly dried my hair and caused SUBSTANTIAL hair loss. I used it about 3 times, just to make sure, but I quickly noticed that after every wash my hair was extremely dry and tangled. I couldn't remediate with none of my leave-in products. When I put up my hair in a ponytail, what once felt full and heavy, was now skimpy. A few months later, I have recovered some of my hair, but it still doesn't feel back to normal. I'm hoping a haircut will help revive it and continue promoting hair growth. I would advise to stay AWAY from this product if possible! I am back to my Olaplex shampoo, and will not deviate again.
