How To Use

Apply generously from head to toes fifteen minutes before sun exposure.

Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and take other sun protection measures, including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses, reapply at least every 2 hours, use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.

My search is FINALLY overGuys I have spent 31 years searching for sunscreen that met my standards and did not break out my very sensitive skin in red, rough bumps. I must have a mild allergy to many common sunblocks because I have tried EVERYTHING, both chemical and physical, including my most recent purchase of Cyberderm sunwhip, which I thought would be the answer to my prayers.......it wasn't, it *immediately* broke me out. Probably too many silicones. This struggle also means I have spent 31 years not really wearing sunscreen, which is really shooting myself in the foot when it comes to my detailed and careful skincare regimen. Like why bother if I'm not doing the basics, but I felt like I COULDN'T because what's the point in protecting your skin from daily sun damage in the long-term if it makes your skin look horrible in the short-term. Anyways, I had just about given up hope and resigned myself to staying indoors with the shades down for the rest of my life when I came across this sunscreen in an Instagram ad. Based on the fact that it met my first 2 criteria (physical-only, a HIGH enough concentration of zinc oxide, and supposedly made for sensitive skin) I gave it a desperate shot. I've been wearing it daily for 2 weeks and I love it so much I could cry! It makes my skin look amazingly glowy and dewy, has the perfect amount of moisture, and actually seems to be helping my skin rather than breaking it out! I never thought I would see the day!!!! Of course, best of all is the fact that I now have the peace of mind that I'm protected from accumulating sun damage (UVA AND UVB) on a daily basis. I no longer have to dread putting on sunblock and "save" it for when I'm going outside in the direct sun all day. That damage you get from sitting in your window on a cloudy day or driving back and forth to work is just as bad because it really adds up. Your skin can't heal from prior sun damage if you aren't protecting it super well, the same way a sprained ankle will never heal if you keep walking on it. I had such high hopes for this sunscreen because of all the instagram ads I kept seeing about it leaving no white cast and it's "clean" ingredients. For context, I have sensitive skin that's very reactive to fragrance and essential oils. I also have normal to dry skin that is very acne prone. And I also have eczema :) Needless to say, my skin has very high standards. When I initially put this on the first thing that struck me was how oily it was. Given that squalane is the third ingredient I was sort of expecting this but, still, it was pretty greasy. It went on pretty easily and didn't have to be worked in too much I also didn't notice too much balling up around the hair line, but there were some parts that I had to use a tapping motion to blend in, particularly between my eyebrows, around my nose, and a bit around my mouth. I also think that's why the ads showed that it was so easy to blend into the skin because of how oily the formulation is. So if you have oily skin, you will probably hate this. But if you have dry skin, you may like this formula. Let's talk about the white cast. It's not the worst, but, given the amount of sunscreen you're actually supposed to use, it will leave a slight cast. I have olive to tan skin, so it's not super noticable on me, but you can definitely still see it. The ads literally show people using the smallest amount, which is not sufficient sun protection, and that's why there's no cast left on them. Lastly, we need to talk about the reapplication. I am someone that reapplies my sunscreen at least once throughout the day, usually 2-3 hours after my first application. If we didn't have to quarantine I'd probably reapply twice. I was afraid to reapply because of how oily the formula is and thought that the second application would cause pilling. Well, I was right and, even though the balls aren't super big and not that noticable, it did reactivate the pilling in my problem areas (eyebrows, nose, mouth), so I had to do a tapping motion to blend them out. Overall I think this is a good sunscreen for people with dry to very dry skin. It's oily when you put it in but if you have dry skin that tends to drink up everything you put in your face (like me) that goes away and it looks really nice and fresh on. There is a learning curve with application and reapplication, which is why I took off a couple stars, but I would still repurchase for those cold winter months where my skin is really dry.

It spreads easily but it does leave a white/purple cast. Funny thing is since its not watdr or sweat resistant, by chance if your skin gets in touch with water or you sweat when outside or if you gor oily skin, the white water + cream=lotion kinda stuff gets accumulated in your creases and neck. May be you can use it on your body.

I wanted to love this sunscreen because it's SPF 50 and made with clean ingredients, but i just couldn't. I have dry skin and this sunscreen is way too greasy. Even when shaking well before using, it somehow is still very VERY watery and runny. Lastly, it has a terrible white cast if you use the proper amount and it even made my face look purple (I have dark skin). If you use a tiny anount then its fine but then you'd have no protection from the sun.

Strong white cast, doesn't dry down, stays sticky/tacky, keep having to blot and reblend white pigment. Can't wait to get home and wash this off.

Allergic Reaction on not sensitive skin

I do not have sensitive skin. I had one allergic reaction to a product at 5, I am now 36. I have normal to combination skin. I used a travel size of this up entirely, no reaction whatsoever other than it would make my skin a little greasy by end of day. I went to put this full size version on my face and immediately was covered in a red, bumpy rash all over my face and neck. Now, four days later, the redness and bumps are mostly gone but my skin is so dry it's peeling. The only thing I changed that day was this sunscreen. I would not recommend this for anyone in fear of this reaction.
