Most Helpful Positive Review Pleasantly Surprised!
I got shade fair to light neutral. For reference, my other shade matches are bite beauty foundation L20, physicians formula healthy foundation LN4, and color pop pretty fresh concealer in fair 20 N.
I really like this product so far! It is easy to blend and has good staying power. I wore it without a mask for several hours and there was very minimal transfer. I have sensitive combination skin and it kept my oils at bay well. It is low-medium coverage but it is slightly buildable
Cons - the packaging is horrible if you keep the plastic component in it. I took it out because it is so annoying and it made the usability a lot better! Also, this foundation is primer specific. I would advise using a moisturizer as your primer or a non-sticky/gripping primer. I tried this with Milk Hydrogrip and it looked horrible and clung, but using it with my the Ordinary moisturizer worked great. You may have to test and see what works for you!
Most Helpful Critical Review better value than BM
Use with a good powder brush, otherwise it will puff all over your clothing. And you don't need to use a lot either...just a bit on the brush. Too much and it will feel cakey, but that's no different than Bare Minerals. Please, for the love of god, Ulta, can you make the sealing lid easier to remove!? I almost broke a nail trying to dig that cap off the top just so I could start using the product. I had to get my metal cuticle pusher and dig down and pop it out. I do like the product though, once I could use it and would recommend it without hesitation based on quality, coverage, shades offered, and price. Just have a pry bar handy after you get ready to use it lol.

I am generally fair/light neutral so I bought Fair Cool and Fair To Light Neutral. I'm glad I bought both because mixing them half and half makes my perfect shade, since the Fair To Light Neutral is quite a bit darker/warmer than the Fair Cool. I usually don't mind buying two shades to mix but with all of their other foundation lines having 20+ shades and this one only having 12 I feel like they skimped out. That's the only reason I took off a star, other than that I love the formula and would compare it to BareMinerals' original loose powder foundation.
Best Mineral Powder I have used
Chrissy from MO - Missouri
I have used baremineral for years and I wanted to try something a little less expensive. I decided to try this. I am in love. It lasts all day and is not heavy but has good coverage and looks pretty natural. I am 52 and it doesn't settle in my wrinkles like BM did. I have even seen a difference in my skin since using this. My new foundation. I really like all Ulta brand makeup.
I would buy it again!!!
Ri Ri from Picayune MS
Love it!!! It does not take alot to go on. Coverage is light and skin feels smooth.
I'm switching to something else, new formula sucks.
Kay from Virginia
I've been using this foundation for about the last 10 years. I switched after Maybelline discontinued their mineral foundation at the time. I loved this ulta mineral foundation, I felt it was buildable and blendable. It worked well with my concealers and the rest of my makeup products. I use to always got compliments on my foundation and I found that I personally didn't need to apply over a moisturizer. BUT, this new formula SUCKS. They've changed it 2 or 3 times from what I can remember and every time they've gone back to this formula, I've hated it. The colors are awful, I've tried mixing two to get the color of the old formula and it still doesn't work well. This formula is more drying than the old, it's more cakey than the old one and it doesn't blend as nicely as the old one. In pictures, the makeup falls flat. It's awful. I'm disappointed that after loving the old formula and using the product for so long, I have to find something else now. The only pros for me at this point is the price and the product lasts a long time.
NOT a good sub for Bare Minerals
K from TX
The powder has a grainy texture and doesn't go on smoothly or cover as well as Bare Minerals. The openings to get powder to come out also don't work well and it is hard to get enough product out. Even the shade that should be similar from my Bare Minerals gives my skin a yellowish tint. When this runs out I'll go back to Bare Minerals.
Ok for the price

I had only used bare minerals foundation (for a mineral makeup that is) I stopped using it (and unfortunately threw mine out) when I had to start wearing masks. Now that im starting to wear makeup again I had hopes that this could be a cheeper alternative to bare minerals. It works ok.. for the price I really wasn't expecting it to be exactly the same it had a simmer to it that I wasn't a fan of and there wasn't enough shades to match my skin tone well (i wear fair 01 in bare minerals). I ultimately ended up returning this brand for bare minerals.
This is the ONE!

More affordable than Bare Minerals and performs just as good, if not better. As a new favorite, medium warm is the perfect shade for me during these summer months. It feels lightweight and has great buildable coverage (truly medium to full). I apply it with a synthetic flat top kabuki brush in tapping motions instead of buffing it in because I layer my face with serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen prior, and don't want to disturb the skincare magic. I've experienced great staying power with the proper prep, with minimal smudging under a mask. I've gotten compliments on my skin wearing this too. I love this foundation and will definitely be repurchasing.
Great Product compared to Bare Minerals.
Robyn from Castle Rock Colorado
I think it's good coverage and affordable. I will continue to buy.
First time trying this and fell in love!!

I would buy this product again.

Used Laura Mercier's "Tender Rose" mineral makeup for years; they stopped making it. Every other makeup too yellow or pasty for me. Your "Fair cool" shade the closest to "Tender Rose" so far
Have tried many powders, but this is a winner
genny from Corpus Christi, Texas
Best powder I've found that doesn't cake up or look too heavy once applied. I won't wear anything else.
My go to product for summer
Ashley O. from Texas
This is amazing!!!
Why is it shimmery?
ChickTaylor from OK
I wanted to try this because I like mineral foundation powder for my skin type. it is so shimmery that it accentuates pores you can't even see with nothing on my face. if you don't want a shimmery face... would not recommend this. I have the fair cool.
Good product compares to Bare minerals

I use make up daily to cover up aging skin. I like the way it covers. Close to the product I was using.
Ms. Buttons from Burleson, Tx
I finally found powder that I like & it actually works. it stays on all day & it's not all yucky looking at the end of the day.
not to sure it oxidized on my face and turned a bright orang
Kat from AZ
It is so hard to tell how things will work if there are no samples at the products.
I buy this product over and over
Paintings by Della from Texas
I used this powder over my foundation. It makes for a flawless complexion as it never cakes.
Yes I would buy this again.
Linda E from Flowood, MS
This product is just as good as a high priced mineral loose powder at a fraction of the price.
I would buy this product again it's so lightweight
T from Florida
True to color match. Very lightweight
Love the color, the texture, and the size of the container
LoriT from Germantown, Maryland
I thought the texture and color were very similar to the Bareminerals one that I have. The container is easy - really it reminded me of Bareminerals. I think I ordered Tan - The color gives me some color, like I got a little bit of sun. Very nice.
Using it since 2010
Xiarra from Naples FL
This product is constant in quality and availability for over 10 years since I started using it. The few times it was not available at my local store, they offered to check another local location near me. And when I have a coupon, I would double up on my other and save a trip.
Shopgirl14 from Alabama
Did not like for myself. Not enough coverage.
Wouldn't use anything else
Genny Girl from Corpus Christi, Texas
Simply brush on after moisturizer and boom, you are done other than adding a little blush.
I would buy this product again.
Lilly from South Dakota
I use this product daily. I bought the wrong color last time, so I bought the right color and just mixed them together. The color turned out just right.
DJ JEFF from Silverdale, WA
No argument about the cost it is much cheaper than BareMinerals. However the quality just is not there. BM is so much smoother and is easier to blend. The Ulta brand is blotchy, it just doesn't blend as well. Also the medium appears very yellow once applied. The packaging is insane, very difficult to get the product out of the container. All in all, you get what you pay for.
