Most Helpful Positive Review Great for Sensitive Skin
Overall this cleanser is great. I love that it doesn't have any fragrance or color additives in it. It has a very mild smell to it. It removes makeup well without leaving a weird film or residue on the skin. It is also safe to use around the eye area. I find it removes face makeup REALLY well and not as well with liquid lipsticks and eyeliners. But I won't take off a star for that because I know that's just how makeup works. I double or triple cleanse my skin anyway if I'm wearing makeup. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. Highly recommend for any makeup wearers. You would especially appreciate this if you have sensitive skin.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not a good makeup remover
This cleanser works fine to cleanse my makeup free face or remove sunscreen at the end of the day. Unfortunately it did not do a good job breaking down my makeup. I actually ended up going in with my favorite oil cleanser to make sure all my makeup was thoroughly removed. It's gentle on the skin and eyes and might be best for a morning cleanse.

I wish I had not bought this. I applied it to dry skin (like the instructions said you can do) and it immediately burned so bad. I tried to wash it off as quick as possible, and I doubles cleansed with a gentle cleaner, but my face was red and inflamed all night. The next day, my skin is still feeling very dehydrated and sensitive. My skin is usually not sensitive to scents or most ingredients, but whatever is in this is not gentle.

I was so excited to try this product. But it let me down for several reasons. The product was very thin and did not foam up very well. I had to use it twice to remove most of my traces of MU and then followed up with one of their cleansing clothes.
Truly doesn't work
Gabby from Lafayette, LA
It doesn't remove make up at all. I'm not sure why this is called make up melt bc it literally doesn't clean make up off whaatsoever
Exactly what I was looking for
Vanesa from MA
I use this as a daily face wash more than a makeup remover, though it does remove my makeup great (I don't use any waterproof products). While I've never tried it, I saw online that this was a dupe for the glossier milky jelly cleanser, and I love it!! It doesn't dry out my skin and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. My only complaint is that it's in a pump bottle, I would love it if it can in a snap-close bottle or tube!!
A go to

I have tried many makeup removers on my search to find the best one. I would not say this is the end all be all but it's a good remover that's I keep coming back to. It's easy and effective. Just keep those eyes tightly shut until you have rinsed it off cuz it absolutely can sting, which for me has been a downside.

REALLY irritated my skin
Took off some makeup but didn't work as well on mascara and eyeliner
Not a fan…
KC from Arkansas
As a lover of all things Bliss, this misses the mark for me. This barely removes any of my make up. Really disappointed.
Does not get any make up off
Bad from NC
Really surprised by all the good reviews. This cleanser does not remove any make up. After I take off my makeup, I put on a toner using a cotton ball, the cotton is always so dirty with make up still. I'm starting to break out from going to bed with obviously still traces of make up on my skin. Don't feel clean at all
Still get out of the shower looking like a racoon
Lynna from Fridley, MN
Unfortunately I still have to use makeup remover even after using this TWICE in the shower. Very dissapointed.
Does not work
Hannah from WV
This product doesn't even almost work. My makeup is barely even smudged after using it. I have to wash my face two more times with different products. I've tried it on a wet and dry face, but it doesn't work either way.
Great for Sensitive Eyes

This did not sting my eyes and took off my makeup very well.
I'm obsessed with this stuff
Cassidy from Las Vegas
I'm surprised to see mixed reviews but everyone has different skin I guess. I have bought 10+ of this product over the years. It's my favorite face wash. Gentle yet removes all my makeup. I use it as a daily face wash also and I love it! Doesn't dry out my skin. It doesn't burn my eyes either and I've used this a million times.
Jj from Iowa
I liked this it didn't sting my eyes or leave them cloudy like oil based makeup removers. It's a nice product it comes off with a simple wipe with a damp washcloth.
worked well but stung my eyelids

This cleanser worked well for removing makeup as a first step in my double cleansing, but I couldn't use it on my eyes. I ended up throwing it out since I couldn't use it to remove eye makeup.
Wanted to like. In the end will not buy again
Jenn from San Diego, CA
I first use it as a makeup remover with a cotton pad. It does get my makeup off MINUS my waterproof mascara. This product does not remove waterproof makeup. Also. It's something off about the smell. There is no rose water smell per the description of "using rose water". To me it smells like the cleanser I used to wash my ice skates with. No bad but not something I want to smell when I am washing my face. For me, my evening cleaning is like a ritual and I want nice smells. Soothing smells.
This product did not over dry my face. But I did not like having to wash twice to make sure everything was removed. Oh well. You have to try or you will never know what works for you.
really wanted to like this…

was looking for a different make up remover and wanted to try this…. not good at all especially if you wear a lot of make up. i scrubbed my face for so long with this stuff and rinsed just to find my eyes stained black still. won't be buying again
Simply Love It!
Kayti from Beaumont
I'm glad I took a chance on this product! I usually use micellar water to take off my makeup sometimes with coconut oil for heavier makeup. With this makeup melt jelly cleanser it reduces the scrubbing I do on my eyes. I use less overall product (about half to one full pump for my whole face) vs micellar water (which I go through quick - prob because it's thinner liquid). I can use it on wet OR dry skin, works fine both ways. It's not really messy. It has a nice light scent. Makes my skin incredibly soft, more so than my normal cleanser! And best of all, I can completely rub it in my eyes (closed ofc) and it will get all my mascara off the first time, with no irritation whatsoever to my sensitive eyes! (I also wear contacts and have had no problems every time.) That was the true test. So I feel like I can recommend this product to any skin type, especially sensitive. Also might note I think this packaging is cute and convenient imo. Definitely worth a shot if you're thinking about it, it's a good price point!
not for me

Couldn't remove my mascara and irritated my eye area so bad. I do not have sensitive skin but it was very irritating all over.
Bliss Makeup Melt

This product gets the job done if you use it as a first cleanse but I would not use it as a standalone cleanser. The experience is also nothing special - there are other oil cleansers out there that feel much better on the skin
for the price it is amazing

Was comparing this to the Juno &co and this is the dupe . It is amazing def will buy again.. just put some in hand and apply to face instant melt. The smell could have been better but I'm not complaining.. made my skin feel soft and silky after.. would recommend

It takes my makeup off in seconds . I love it so much and have bought it multiple times and will continue to use it. Love it so much!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

This cleanser definitely gets the job done but there was nothing too exciting about it. Pretty much the same as other jelly cleansers and cleans off makeup easily and without any hassle. I would still recommend though.

Doesn't take off all the makeup. And leave the eye contour area so irritated
Love this Jelly cleanser

A recent #haul of Bliss products, some were purchased from the retailer websites and others were bought through other sites. Cleansing is one of my favorite steps (if not my absolute favorite above all other steps) in my routine, especially when it is a Jelly Cleanser due to the sensorial experience. I'm definitely one of the people who turn to the process of cleansing to "de-stress" and immerse myself in the experience itself. I love applying this cleanser to my face when it is completely dry and reminds me of the Glossier Jelly Cleanser quite a bit, it's just cheaper & more readily available to purchase as far as in store goes. More details and another Bliss product pictured that is a hoooly grail for me (it's not marketed for the face though and has became more difficult to find) is available on my IG feed (@ in bio) if you would like to check it out! I love this Makeup Melt. I have very bad problems with products causing acne but I don't have that problem with this makeup melt. :)
