Perfect Midpoint Between Lipstick and Gloss
The product is quite pigmented for its namesake, oil balm. The color dries down to more of a stain which is perfect for wear time. A little goes a long way. The only things I didn't love entirely was the applicator; it holds onto pigment over time. Having olive undertones, the mauve is actually mauve and doesn't run too light pink.
I would NOT buy this again
This product has a beautiful color however, it damaged my lips after applying it. My lips started to puff up and then get extremely dry. I would NOT recommend this product in case it gives others a bad reaction!
Is seems like a sample size to me
Honestly, it is so tiny that I can hardly believe it's a full-size product, and the good side would be it's very pigmented while still nourishing your lips
Little goes a long way
As orhers have mentioned, it is a very small tube, BUT I used the teensiest amount and the color payoff was excellebt. It was rich but blurry at the same time and it faded very nicely like a stain. I really liked the texture, but if your lios are dry you will need some sort if chapstick to go with it.

I love the formula, it feels like a perfect in-between of a lipstick and a gloss. I'd say it's fairly nourishing, and the color I chose (kitten pounce) had the perfect amount of pigment for me. I'm fair skinned with a neutral undertone, I found it to be a decent nude shade. I found a little goes a long way, so while I would have liked more product in the tube, I don't really feel stressed that it's a bit smaller than competitors. That being said, I think the shade range is limiting- the product had me really missing the now-discontinued Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, a squeeze tube cream product dispensed with a similar puffed applicator. It didn't feel as luxe or hydrating as Half Magic's offering, but I do really find a lack in terms of colors, like no true pinks, reds, or berries is pretty odd! Especially for a brand with as many funky products as Half Magic has, it just feels like there's a huge gap in the shade range. I think even a clear or shimmer would be a welcome addition to the Oil Balm range.
