Most Helpful Positive Review boya! Thank you so much covergirl for this product.I have tried this in reg and water proof and I think this if te best of all because I can cry my eye's out,I can go outside when it's raining,I can even swim with this on and it doesn't move a bit!
Most Helpful Critical Review not what you think This product just clumps your lashes together in a goopy mess! I had to use other ways of separating them.The brush is WAY to big and I can't get to the base of my lashes or use the end of the brush for the corners of my lashes. I wont buy it again.

Wearing a mask has of course ruined my lash game. This was the closest to holding my curl however you can NOT re curl your lashes when wearing this. Your lashes will stick to the eyelash curler. Be warned! That's a big fail for me, I've never had that happen with any other waterproof mascara before. It also leaves dots of mascara on my upper lid. That's also a first for me. So if they ever improve this formula, I will try again but for now, this formula needs a lot more work!

I like the shape and size of the bush but this mascara really sucks. If you have really stubborn eyelashes that are pretty straight and are looking for a good waterproof mascara to hold them and make them look nice, this is not the product for that. It really weighs your eyelashes down and makes them look wet and ugly. Don't recommend.

I am on a quest to find mascara that doesn't smear, flake, and provides volume that lasts. This mascara did provide volume, but there were a couple of downfalls.
The mascara easily transferred to my brow while applying. I also found the formula was not a fast drying one. I didn't wear this for a full day, but the mascara did leave some flakes under my eyes.
For me, this wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I won't throw it out and may use it when I just need a quick coat.

I used this mascara as a second layer on my top lashes over the brand's non-waterproof version as well as on my lower lashes. It all stays on until I take it off with no smudging and no flaking.

I use a good coat on my upper lashes before I put the waterproof version over it and on my lower lashes. None of it budges until I take it off.

I've used this since I was in 6th grade and every time I try a new mascara I come back to this. I have thin blonde eyelashes but they're pretty full when they're visible.
The brush picks up every hair and the silicone bristles really let you get to the root. Admittedly I am a natural makeup kinda gal but I find it to be very buildable and gives really nice length and color. It stays on for a long time without smudging but comes off easily (I use oil based remover and a makeup removing cloth).
I use the black-brown shade and don't like waterproof mascaras. I recently tried the essence lash princess in comparison to this and did not like it at all. Closest comparison I've found is Glossier lash slick but they only have it in black :(

i never write a review on anything but today during a winter storm at work, i was very impressed with this product. i work outside in sometimes extreme weather conditions and i also work inside with passengers. So finding a mascara that i can put on and not have to worry about was a must. There was no smudging whatsoever and my lashes looked the same as i put it on from the beginning. It has lasted over 12hrs! i wasn't wearing any foundation so that could've helped but either way i was impressed!

This may be the single worst mascara I have ever used. I bought this because I needed a cheap waterproof mascara in brown black and this was literally the only one they had in stock in that color. I have tried three different wands so the formula is garbage. It's watery, it doesn't build, it's messy and after you put it on and blink a few times it smears onto your contacts and then good luck getting it off of your contacts. It's definitely waterproof. I'll give it that. But if you want it to come off the only way to get it off is to rip it (and half your lashes) off. I've tried three different makeup removers that have never met a waterproof mascara they couldn't take off. I mean one is an exfoliating towel for goodness sake. After using this for about the third time I hate it so much I have dug my old mascara out of the trash and replaced it with this one because that's the only place this deserves, in the garbage.

(And I mean BUT) You NEED to let this product dry out a little before applying, especially when it's brand new. It WILL weigh down your lashes if you have straight thick lashes like mine, even with a curler. MOST IMPORTANTLY, be aware this mascara once on will take 4 score and 7 years to remove; please take your time removing this and don't yank it off.

Time and time again I always return to this mascara. I don't understand the bad reviews. I apply two coats, use a eyelash brush to spread out any uneven product, I use the eyelash curler before the 1st and then again after the 2nd coat is dry. It doesn't take long to dry. It doesn't clump. Gives my lashes fullness, length and definition. Lasts all day, doesn't irritate my eyes. Every time I try a different mascara that is getting raved about I hate it. I'm not into wearing fake eyelashes and this mascara gives me a big bold enough look that I don't feel the need to.

I decided to try this after searching for a hypoallergenic waterproof mascara. This is the first mascara that doesn't irritate my eyes AT ALL! All I need is for my mascara to hold my lash curl and tint my lashes black, which this does. The formula is pretty thin so it's not clumpy either.

Literally hated this so much. I have washed my face 5 times, used an oil cleanser and it's still not off of my lashes. It's so clumpy and gooey when you apply it and then it dries all clumpy and did nothing for my lashes except dry them out. Not repurchasing.

It held my curl SO WELL, but it's an incredibly wet formula, so it was hard to use for the first half of the tube. Once it dried up a bit, it was amazing! I would not repurchase though because I don't have time to wait for wet formulas to dry up.

I live in the hot, humid South and need a mascara that won't run, so I purchased this for the first time hoping it would fit the bill. Within 5 minutes after application, the mascara started running. It was a hot day, so I thought maybe it just hadn't dried yet. Before I left the house, I checked in the mirror and there they were - raccoon eyes. Ugh.

So my initial intent when purchasing this was obviously for eyelash purposes. Its good for people who want a VERY soft definition to their lashes. Great for a true no makeup look. it will very little volume and no length. the waterproof version is seriously waterproof and will be very difficult to take off. overall I thought this mascara was okay hence the rating.
BUT recently I took a risk and tried it as an eyebrow tint and it is actually fantastic. As a eyebrow product it is totally 5 star worthy. I would suggest the dark brown shade if you have dark brown hair like myself. The consistency is perfect. It actually does an incredible job at tinting/ coating your eyebrow hairs. Because its the waterproof version, it holds the color and hairs in place very well. If cover girl made this exact formula in other eyebrow tint shades it would be flying off the shelves.

The brush is terrible. No matter how I tried or what I did I got more on my skin than on my lashes. And the formula took forever to dry, thus getting more on my skin. Really disappointed.

I tried both the regular and waterproof formulas and didn't see a difference. A lot of the reviews are right on- horrible brush that bends and is hard to hold, clumpy , did nothing for my lashes and gave me raccoons...even the waterproof. I wouldn't buy again. I guess if you have really long thick lashes and all the time in the world it MIGHT be better, but I need to see proof. Would not recommend or buy again

i'm shocked how this mascara has such good reviews! the brush is probably my least favorite thing about this mascara. it's so spiky, and it irritates my lash line. the formula is also horrendous. super drying, and after it dries, it flakes HORRIBLY! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS!
