Most Helpful Positive Review It works! I have the worst combination- oily, dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin. My skin is oily and acne prone but it is so dry at the same time that my skin peels off. I used to have countless whiteheads on my chin and jaw line and a few big red pimples on the cheek. I had a hard time finding a moisturizer that is oil-free so that it does not cause more acne but hydrates my skin well. But, this moisturizer really works on my skin!!! Honestly, the smell of this product isn't good but I have been using this moisturizer +acne spot+ the scrub and I already see the difference. My skin doesn't feel dry nor oily. Half of my whiteheads are gone. Red pimples are still on the way but I can see they are reducing. This is my first time using vegan product but I am in love!!
Most Helpful Critical Review Mattifying? Yeah, right... I have adult acne and very oily skin. This product is purportedly made to mattify my type of skin. However, it caused my skin to become even more oily, which led to breakouts. In addition, a very small amount of product is provided for a fairly high price. All-in-all, not a worthy buy. I would suggest staying away from this product is you've oily and/or acne-prone skin. This stuff will make it worse!

I'm a loyal and repeat Acure customer. My love story began with the ultra hydrating shampoo (the only shampoo I've found to combat my psoriasis), and it continues to grow with every product I try. My skin feels so luxurious after using the incredibly clear mattifying moisturizer. I use it in the morning and the evening (as directed) and am noticeably softer. Love that it's unscented (as I'm pregnant and currently sensitive to smells), too. #sweepstakes

Wonderful moisturizer that truly is matte. It has greatly improved the look of my pores and helps moisturize anytime of the year. It is not greasy and quickly absorbs into skin (and hands after applying).

I wish there were an unscented version of this moisturizer - or even a less-scented one. It works well as a night cream for me, and the scent is pleasant enough, but oh my word, you can smell it all over the house! It gets on the pillowcase, the sheets, my clothes. My cats won't go near me for hours because the smell is too strong for them. Unfortunately, it means I'll be looking for a different, less-scented moisturizer elsewhere.

I have been using this product for almost 2 years, and in that time it seems it's changed at least 3 times. Can we just get something that sticks? I keep adapting to the new one and then it changes again. Maybe it's gone back to the old "whipped" consistency, but now it feels almost tacky on my face. Previous version had more "slip", but smelled too floral. Before that it was the "whipped" consistency with chocolate smell (best IMO). I can't keep up!

This made my skin the most oily it has ever been. Did not mattify at all, and wasn't a good moisturizer. I will not repurchase.

I use this only in pm as per no need for sunscreen. I love how it moisturizes but doesn't make me greasy. Smells soooo good to me, but has cocoa butter as a top list ingredient which will clog your pores. Maybe switch it up so it doesn't.

I used to love this product but not anymore. It used to smell lightly floral and feel smoother and lighter. Now it smells too culinary, feels heavy and greasy. Cannot use it on my face anymore without breaking out. What a disappointment.

Agree with previous commenter. Love the moisturizer, but really dislike the new floral/citrusy smell. Also the consistency seems a bit different. Will continue to buy if it works as well, but new smell is off-putting.

This was my favourite moisturizer and when I ran out and got a new one the smell changed completely to a floral smell and it's a bit overwhelming. I miss when it smelled a bit like chocolate :disappointed:

I was excited for this product because I have oily skin especially under makeup. I wasn't a fan of the smell but it disappeared after I applied it and it sank in. It dries me out where I wasn't the politest in my cheeks and my super oily t zone felt greasy. Even if I didn't put on makeup my skins felt greasy and dry at the same time. I didn't have any breakouts with this so it's just meh at best at worst it made me dry and greasy.

Second time purchasing this product. It's non toxic and smells good. I have a T zone and it's honestly mattifying. First time I bought it, it smelled weird so I wonder if I got an old product. I love the price point.

I normally don't write reviews for products, but I picked this one up from the store one day because I ran out of my usual Fresh moisturizer. As an honest review, the product did what it was supposed to do if your priority is moisturized skin. It didn't break me out either. My biggest complaint (hence the two stars) is the texture of the formula. It's very thick and heavy on my skin (oily skin). I thought since it was mattifying, it would be the opposite, however, if it's hot outside or you sweat or anything, it'll continue to feel heavy on the skin. Emphasis for black girls who are oily-prone. The smell was manageable. If you're looking for a light-weight formula, this isn't it and don't try to use it in the summer. Please. May be a good winter moisturizer for dry skin.
