It is not nearly as "scrubby" as the brightening cleanser and I would say it feels more like a normal cleanser rather than a scrub. BUT that being said, this product has really helped clear up my skin! I usually use it at night as a second cleanser for when I wear makeup or just when my face needs something a little extra. It smells like charcoal and blueberries, not the greatest scent, but I don't mind it. I have had acne since I was 16, (I'm 18 now) and this with some of Acure's other products like their seriously soothing cloud cream, and brightening oil free serum has helped tremendously in ridding old hyper-pigmentation spots and clearing up the bumps. I'm so happy with this product and company! If you are on the fence about trying this product, just do it!
