This brush is perfect for long, thick hair. It's the only brush that I've tried that works so well without pulling my hair out... HOWEVER. I purchased the brush for my daughter and one for myself. It detangles quite well but both brushes eventually snapped while we were brushing out our hair. My daughter has thin, fine hair and I have thick, wavy hair. Both brushes broke before reaching the 2 year mark. I waited awhile before purchasing them again because of them breaking but I decided to go ahead with the purchase because they detangle well.
Worked great.....for awhile.
This brush worked great for the first approximately 3 months, when it cracked and broke on one side. I fixed it as best as I could with some super strong tape, and then the other side cracked and broke about 3 weeks later. Fixed it in the same way. Worked for about a month when it cracked in the middle, and broke away from the paddle. In short, the brush broke completely in half in about 6 months. My hair is somewhat thick, not too long, and tangles easily. This brush did really well detangling, but if it's so flimsy that I have to continuously replace it, there is no point in buying another. I would not buy this product again.
