Most Helpful Positive Review Great for oily skin I've used just the mineral powder on it's own for awhile and it was nice but when combined with the primer and veil it's amazing. I have very oily skin and the matte powder keeps it completely under control. I only wear full face makeup on special occasions or when I feel like it (and most makes my skin even more oily) but with this my face never gets oily. My skin feels velvety and dry and doesn't feel like I'm wearing any makeup at all. I like wearing just a powder (instead of a liquid foundation) with slight coverage/blurring and this does exactly that, makes my skin look more even and 'put together' without covering my freckles. Looks effortlessly beautiful.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not the same I used to buy this foundation in my teens and 20's , the fairly light used to be a perfect match. I am 33 now and wanted to try going back to this foundation so bought this kit to experiment before going all in . Sooo what i can say is that this is great for sensitive skin, I deal with chronic Malassezia from having type 1 diabetes and this has NOT broken my skin out ever... down side, it's very drying, you see it laying on your skin which isn't flattering, AND the color is unfortunately not a close match, it's much darker than it used to be and has a muddy appearance. I'm going to keep trying it , maybe something will change but skin is important to me and this just isn't a great product for myself.

As a dental hygienist and a mom, I need something easy to apply and will last throughout the day with wearing an N95 mask. Makes me feel ready to face a day full of patients or running around with a 5 year old. Would highly recommend

I have been using Bare Minerals matte foundation for a few years now, and love it. However, I never tried the mineral veil or the primer. Also, I wasn't using the Bare Minerals brand brush.
Firstly, I had no idea how big a difference the right brush would make. This is so much easier to control the application. My other brush tended to put too much on at first, and I could not buff it out very well.
The powder is also amazing. It gives my face the 'finished' look I was missing. I thought powdered foundation did not need powder on top.
I haven't tried the primer. Other brands have given me redness or rashes, so I just never use it at all.
The product itself is great, but not my usual color or finish. It's a little lighter than I normally use, but I think it actually works better right now, since I stepped up my sunscreen game.

Bare Minerals has the best coverage of any brand out there in my opion. I have freckles and I love that it covers my blemishes but my freckles can still be seen :) Only complaint I have which isnt a super big deal but might be to someone who wants the brush in this kit is mine was missing so Check that before your purchase

A very nice person helped pick out the color, but it is too light. I look pale. I've never used a loose powder foundation, so I trusted her opinion. I wish now, I had picked my own out.

I likd the product, was buying ths.small kit, as I left mine at my daughters house while visiting there.
The small kit did not offer my color, medium, so I bought medium beige. Does not.blend well with my skin tone.

I purchased this kit for my young daughter who has been asking for some foundation. This is the PERFECT kit for her, the little kabuki brush fits in her hand perfectly and it didn't cost an arm and a leg, so if she loses interest it's not that big of a deal. The coverage of bare minerals is great and the prime time will help her learn how to use a primer with the powder.

I wanted to try the powder foundation so I thought this would be a cute little sampler to try so I could try a few things. I have light medium skin that burns easy and purchased the light 08. holy orange on me way too dark it oxidized terribly. the finish was nice not powdery or cakey. up close not so great . the mineral veil did make my under eyes appear dry so I wouldn't reccomend if you are drier. my last issue is the brush. its so small its hard to get a good grip to properly buff. liquid foundation is so much easier imo. I will be returning this

Bad color match on the included foundation but since it is a kit I just bought a lighter color of foundation to use. I think they were out of the lighter color when I tried it but I was really interested in the idea of a mineral foundation.
I am also going to try it with a different primer. The primer worked well, but it made me break out. I did really like how i looked with the mineral veil, at least. Overall i got good coverage and it felt great, not heavy or cakey at all.

I hardly ever wear makeup and certainly am no expert but this was so easy to apply and looked flawless. The color match was perfect thanks to some help at the store. It lasted all day, even outside in the heat and still looked good at night. I hate the feeling of heavy makeup and I didn't even notice this after I put it on. Highly recommend!

I have wanted to try Bare Minerals for many years (decades). I find liquid foundation to be too cakey and too much coverage so I wanted a powder. I bought the Fair 03 as it was the lightest in this kit and it's way too dark/orangey for me. I will try buying the full price foundation and return this kit. Or maybe it'll be better in summer - I live in WI and rarely see the sun.
Not sure if it was the primer or the foundation or the combo but my skin feels like silk

I really liked the makeup. I would recommend. However not sure I would recommend the starter kit. I really think I got ripped off on the actual makeup color powder. There was hardly anything in it. There was plenty of primer and finishing powder. But I would buy the actual make up. Nice color and feels light on your face.
