Most Helpful Positive Review WOW!!!!!!!!!! I love this origins night cream!! My skin is combo/dry in the Winter, combo/oily in the Summer. I always need an extra boost of hydration in the winter time due to my skin becoming so dry. This provided long lasting hydration and then some. The first time I put it on it did bother my eyes a little because of the orange cream scent. I usually don't like fragrant face products. Its not overly overwhelming but the scent is there. It smells good but just a little strong upon initial use. The second night I used it it wasn't as bad and less bothersome. I had a little texture on my cheeks that this cream cleared up. I also had hyperpigmentation marks and a few blemish marks that this cream cleared up. I don't know what magic is in this bottle but I love it. I usually use rosehip oil nightly to fade dark marks. I have been using it for a couple of years. I've been using this cream for only two weeks and have seen better results with this as far as fading any Imperfections. I also have skin that breaks out from certain ingredients and this didn't break me out. This has made my skin very smooth, bright and glowing. This night cream has even made some of my more matte foundations that were looking too dry on my skin look better. Its as if it provides hydration the following day as well. This has become my favorite night moisturizer and of course I will continue to buy it because its worth it!!!!!!!!!!1
Most Helpful Critical Review It only has Vit. C ESTER & vit.E, WHY the NAME NIT-A-MINS? I got this because I was sure it would have at least what I look for in the 1oz $12 serums that do have, basically at least the MOST IMPORTANT VITAMINS for your skin.. which are vitamin A, B3 (AKA niacinamide), and not a weakened vitamin C Ester.. but a real version of VITAMIN C!
I know a ton about skincare, more than most regular Physicians- and except for her how to prescribe- a lot even as some dermatologists would compare.
I don't understand why this is called "nite-a-mins", as I normally check out the ingredients before I even look at a product.. much less purchase it, and I thought that there was REAL VITAMIN C..not just a weakened, not worth the ingredient version called vitamin C Ester, which doesn't really have any science behind it as far as results, compared to real vitamin C..and then your only other vitamin is the cheapest ingredient ever, vitamin E.. Vitamin E is in EVERYTHING..+ your skin already makes it..?
Why can you not put the 3 MOST IMPORTANT VITAMINS IN.. along with the lactic + salicylic acid?
I love the way it feels on my skin, because I lean oily, but as far as the ingredients, they are very weak, (basically the ginzing moisturizer with added lactic acid)..so 2 whole AHA's..WEAK- advertised as AHA'S- as in multiple AHA's..like I would have thought several.. not only 2!
This ingredient list has nothing extra that matters, different from the ginzing moisturizer except for 1- which is lactic acid. I MUCH PREFER THE PAULA'S CHOICE ANTIOXIDANT PURIFIER w/SALICYLIC ACID.. to this now.
*Just compare ingredients lists. Hers is very similar to your ginzing, but is much better! For the prices you charge, I'm sticking with hers. You've lost a BIG SKINCARE customer. As I said, I love how lightweight it is, and most of your products are, but the PC is very similar to your gel moisturizer except it is better. The night a mins is disappointing because
PRODUCT NAME is MISREPRESENTING what is IN THE PRODUCT- BAIT & SWITCH / FALSE ADVERTISING!

I've been using night-a-mins for several years now and I've tried both the oil-free gel version and the regular cream version. I have very dry skin, I'm basically a raisin, so the oil-free plus the AHA made my skin a little dryer, not as supple and did make me break out, so you may want to steer away of the oil-free gel if dryness is already an issue. The cream version on the other hand, knocks it out of the park. I slather this on at night and my face gives a sigh of relief. In the morning, my skin is less patchy and more plump. I highly recommend but make sure you are ordering the correct one for your skin type!
New doesn't mean better. 1

I have been an Origins user since the mid 90's. There have been several products that have been my favorite as well as many other users, and the company decided to discontinue them anyway. The response is always - we have other products. I have never purchased a 'replacement' product that was suggested.
When it's not broke...don't fix it!
Why not ask current, loyal customers what they think of changes to the products they love before changing them? We would tell you - leave the formula as it is - we love it.
Over the years the products that I have used from Origins has dwindled in number.
Obsessed with the Oil-Free version 5
Hray from Catskill, NY
So I've been using this for years and I've tried both the Original and the Oil-Free. From what I read in the reviews, it seems as though many are accidentally ordering the Oil-Free and not the original. So if you are looking for thick creamy hydrating Night-A-Mins, make sure you are not ordering the oil free version.
The Oil-Free works wonderfully for me as I have skin on the oily side. I love the way the oil-free version feels on my freshly cleaned face and I wake up with clearer and fresher skin.
Please please please make sure you check to see which version you are ordering.
Disappointed 2

I was hesitant with all the reviews to try this "new" formula, but I tried it anyways and now I'm returning it. I decided to do my own experiment, used my old cream on 1/2 my face and the new jar on the other 1/2. Needless there was a difference, I broke out on half my face to the point my husband even commented.
Hate the new gel type formula. 1

The new gel formula leaves my skin dry and tight. I've moved on to a product from Caudalie. I've been a Night a Mins user for over a decade but the romance is over.
Please bring back the old formula 1
Dee from Egg Harbor, WI
I've used this product for over 10 years and was the main reason I've stayed with Origins and their products for many years. Last year, I received my night-a-mins and thought something was wrong with my product due to the lack of cream and that the gel left my face dull, dry and bumpy. Customer service was fabulous as usual, and quickly sent a new jar to me, as the agent thought the ingredients may have changed during the shipping (it was winter). Upon opening the second jar, the color, consistency and effects on my face were exactly the same. Turns out, that because I've ordered this for years and didn't bother to read reviews, that the formula was changed. Extremely disappointed, I began to experiment with other companies to find a replacement that would provide the same benefits as my old origin cream. Why change something that is successful? If Origins decides to change the formula back to it's old formula, I will gladly return. In the meantime, I've been trying other companies/products and my money that is usually spent at Origins is being spent elsewhere. I assume the only time a company listens to it's loyal customers, it's when the product begins to lose customers, but often, by that time, customers like me discover new companies, who like Origins, are very happy to have new customers. I am disappointed by this formula change and hopefully Origins will pay attention and listen to its customers.
New formula worked wonderfully! 5
G.D. from Ellicott city md
I must admit I was extremely skeptical about ordering the new formula after reading some reviews. I tried unsuccessfully to find the old formula because I too really liked it. However, lo and behold, I was pleasantly surprised that the old formula worked beautifully for me! In fact, I found it a tad less oily which was plus, while it yielded the same glowing results as the old one. Glad I tried it after all!
Please bring back the old formula 1
ShellyS from Pittsburgh, PA
I've been using Night-A-Mins for over 12 years. My most recent re-purchase has left me sad and extremely disappointed. The old formula was thick and hydrating. The new formula is thin and drying. I am really sad about this. I don't want to find a new holy grail product but I'm afraid I may have to. Please bring back the old formula.

Not the same formula 1

Similar to other reviews, I used to love this product but the formula has changed and it gave me a bad reaction and dried out my skin. Hopefully they bring back the old formula!
New Formula is bad! Bring the original back! 1
Zain from Arlington, VA
This used to be my favorite product from Origins when it had the original formula, and I am saying that after having used their skin care products from most of their other lines. I loved how healthy, plump and hyrdated my skin looked in the mornings. But this new formula is a complete disappointment, and I don't see any benefits except that my skin looks dull and dry in the mornings. I trusted this brand so much that I bought the new formulation without reading the reviews and it's a complete waste of my money and I don't have any use for it. Origins, I see that so many of your long-time customers are desperately wanting your old formula back and this has been going on for over a year. Are you going to do anything about it? I would think companies would pivot and go back to what worked esp in this case since this product went from a hero to a zero, and it's quite evident in your customers feedback. Pls address this as there is already popular demand.
Resurfacing is the real deal 5
Marce21 from SF, CA
I have used the original Night-a-mins for years and was dismayed to read the negative reviews when resurfacing was added. I went so far as to try another brand of night cream, which was blah. I bought Night-a-mins to try it for myself and am I ever glad that I did! It feels like my old favorite. The additional and surprising aspect for me is that the resurfacing ingredients really work. My skin is sun-damaged with a couple of dry patches that have a long dermatological name that I don't recall. I can see and feel improvement to the texture of my skin. Definitely recommended.
Please bring back the old formula!!!!! 1
Sleepless and sad in Seattle from Seattle
I spent atleast $100 a month on the previous formula night cream. It was one of the very few things I splurged on, but the way it made my skin felt was amazing. Worth every penny!! But now, it's complete different:( I agree with every other review, BRING IT BACK!!!! It took me years to find it and when I did I used every day!!!! I cried more when this product was discontinued then when I broke up with my boyfriend.
Made my face breakout and feel super dry 1
Sarah from Arizona
I have used origins exclusively for all of my skin care needs for the past five years, but this new formula in the night a mins is truly awful! The last time I had a breakout was before I started using origins because their products are so great, but this moisturizer has not only clogged my pores but made the lines on my face more prominent because of how dry it is. This will definitely be the last time purchasing this particular product.
Love this product! 5
Missy H from Birmingham, AL
I got this as a sample and I loved it! I use at night with Niacinamide and sometimes Retinol. My face is so smooth and soft in the morning, I can also tell a difference on my forehead. My forehead looks so smooth and you can barely notice the wrinkles I had seen starting to appear. I didn't really care for the smell, but I could tolerate it.
Saved My Skin, But Not My Wallet 4
Abrosal from Chicago
So let me start off by saying I know a lot of people miss the old formula--I do too. But this new formula works for me almost just as well as the previous one. I had red bumps all over my forehead for a year, and after using this, they cleared almost over night. If you have rough/bumpy skin (not necessarily severe acne/pimples), this is a great moisturizer to smooth everything out. It has been in my skincare routine for over five years now, and I haven't had any issues.
My only qualm is that they have steadily risen the price at least a dollar every year since I started to use it ($2 increase from 2020 to 2021!). Now I only buy it when I see it on sale, or in a value pack (Ulta usually has a good ones--esp around the holidays). I guess we shouldn't be surprised that they are lowering the quality of the product while increasing the price--happens all the time, unfortunately--but that doesn't seem to be the best way to keep customers. There are cheaper products with AHA's in the market now that work quite well (the Ordinary comes to mind), and I think that will be their downfall.
Smells amazing 5
Dr Sugar from Tampa FL
Smells great and I have noticed an improvement in skin texture and appearance. Absorbs well into skin.

Helps with pigment and leaves skin soft and glowing. Very reasonably priced.
I love it! 5
paige from midwest
I originally got this as a trial from Ipsy and have since repurchased! I love the scent, and when I wake up my skin truly does look and feel better! I have noticed decreased pigmentation on acne scars and an overall fresher, less dull appearance! I plan to keep using this!!

I have been using Night A Mins since I was a teenager and it will forever be my favorite product. I notice a difference in my skin when I DONT use it.
Itchy 2

I used to use Plantscription, but it was somewhat oily for me, and I tried this item. Whenever I applied it to my face neck, I felt itchy and the areas turned red. So, I switched back to Plantscription products.
Be careful if you have sensitive skin. 2
Lona from Vacherie, La
I wanted to love this moisturizer as I'm a big fan or Origins. The first time I used the cream I thought it was great, my skin felt amazing and it was really moisturizing. Unfortunately when I woke up my eyes were swollen and my face was extremely puffy. It took a little over a week for my face to recover. I decided to try the cream one more time and unfortunately it's the same results. I will be giving it to o my friend, hopefully she has better results.
Love it!! 5
Alicat from Ohio
Not sure what the complaints are about with the new ingredient change. I never used the older version, but I think this gel/cream is fantastic! I also have the the drier skinned version of this product, which is a definitive cream. Both versions hydrate equally well I think. I love using the gel on my neck and chest as it spreads easily. My skin never feels irritated and always feels like a spa going to bed. The smell is luscious and "orangey" IMO. Keep making this product!
Great night cream 5
Virgolibra22 from Pittsburgh
I like that it's not oil. One of my favorite night creams.
