Most Helpful Positive Review THE ONE AND ONLY THAT REALLY LIFTS LASHES! I bought this lash elevating mascara in-store when the clinique beauty assistant recommended it and applied it on me. I have stubby, sparse, stick straight lashes. I was amazed to see my eyes transformed by long, lifted lashes. All other mascaras left my eyes looking like I'd not even used anything on my lashes, but this one brought out lashes I didn't know were even there and held them curled all day. Now my eyes look beautiful. It is a creamy formula, other mascaras are thinner and I think the creamier consistency is what makes this hold so effectively. I apply it by wiggling into base and SLOWLY brushing through lashes up to tip for the best application and apply another coat for dramatic lashes. I have oily lids and after several hours, all mascaras I've used will smear on my upper lid after blinking. This did the same, BUT I fixed that issue by applying a small amount of water-proof mascara just on the tips once I finish applying the lifting mascara and it stays smudge-free indefinitely! This is the BEST mascara I have ever used! I use the clinique make-up remover cleansing balm on my face and gently on the lashes, let it soak into lashes 10 seconds or so while gently rubbing lashes with fingertip and all mascara comes off very easily without irritation. I will never bother with another mascara again, this is the best! And I had tried all other prestige brands that claim to lift and curl but leave the lashes like a straight stick soon after applying. The clinique lash elevating delivers all day lift!!!! Please do not discontinue this one, used correctly it is amazing!!!!! I wrote a review about this when I first bought it, and after seeing some reviewers were disappointed with it, I had to write again to maybe give suggestions on using it in a way that will work better for those who had difficulty and hopefully ensure it is a good seller so that it is always available in the future!
Most Helpful Critical Review I would not buy this again. The brush shape and even distribution is a huge plus with this mascara! Unfortunately, there is a major issue I have with this formula. IT IS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE! I literally need to spend 5 minutes in the shower to get 50% off, come out of the shower looking like a raccoon, and then another 5 minutes afterward using a cotton pad & eye cream to only get another 25% off. I'll have tons of residue left around my eyes, lost lashes in the process, and the poor skin around my eyes dries out from so much cleanser that does nothing to get the mascara off. I got a sample of the high impact mascara a little while ago and after reading other reviews with similar issues, I think the sample was for the original high impact formula not the "lash elevating formula". The sample I received was AMAZING and came off so easy. If you're ok with adding an additional 10 minutes to your bedtime routine and losing lashes, this product is for you.

I use this product on top of another mascara. When I was only using this mascara, it would flake off during the day, and the product would slowly disappear from my lashes. I personally don't think this mascara is good for those who want a lengthening, thick mascara appliance.

It makes your lashes soooo long that they touch your eyebrows without having fibers that irritate contact wearers. It doesn't flake off, smudge or look clumpy. It's a beautiful mascara. It makes your lashes look like you have beautiful falsies on. It is waterproof so you definitely have to use an oil based eye makeup remover to get it off. I've had no problems removing it when using the proper product. Makeup remover balm. Clinique eye makeup remover. Clinique makeup remover balm. I use a double cleanse oil to remove it. I'm pretty sure coconut oil removes it too. You cannot take it off with a makeup wipe. You absolutely have to use some type of remove that has an oil base.

I love this mascara! For those who like to curl their lashes and have it hold the curl, I definitely recommend this mascara. A lot of the reviews say it's hard to remove (which I agree) I just like to take some cream makeup remover and clean it off. It's a nice separating, lash extending mascara.

I accidently grabbed this instead of the usual one I buy and it was a mistake I will never make again! It looks great on, however it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I use eye makeup remover, repeatedly, and still wake up with black under my eyes. It's a lot of tugging on delicate eye tissue. Never again.

Accidentally got this instead regular High Impact. It's melting all over within hours. Yet when I go to remove it at night, it's impossible to remove, even with makeup remover.

I see many other reviews echoing my sentiment, this mascara does NOT come off. My go-to makeup remover doesn't touch it. After washing and scrubbing my face twice in the shower as well as two separate applications of make-up remover, my under eyes are still dark and I can feel the product on my lashes when I touch them.
I will definitely buy this product from Ulta again! 5

I got this from Ulta and accidentally purchased waterproof instead of regular. I didn't realize what I had done until I used it once. I took it back to Ulta and told them, and they let me exchange it for the regular. I was so happy. They will definitely get my business again!

I have been using this mascara for years and absolutely love it! My natural lashes grow out instead of up and this mascara hold them up all day! I have used so many different brands over the years and throughout the day my lashes always started to fall but with this lash elevating mascara they stay up and look amazing all day long! However, it is a little stubborn when wanting to come off. Usually micellar water followed by washing my face does the trick! Overall, definitely worth it!

The mascara went on well and gave extreme lash length and volume. Really it was amazing if you look for thick thick black lashes. But now I am STUCK in it!! I have tried multiple cleaners and nothing is working!! I've attached a photo of all the cleansers I have tried. My eyes burn and I am still wearing a fair amount of the mascara

Benefit badgal lash was discontinued, so I was on the hunt to find another good mascara that would give me the volume without irritation.. after trying a few others an Ulta sales rep suggested Clinique high impact, WOW! Was I surprised- one coat gave me the wow factor, volume, no caking, no irritation! The only downside was that I couldn't wash this off with my normal face wash, I had to buy an eye remover. Small price to pay for amazing lashes

This mascara is too thick and feels stiff when I apply it. Shelves were pretty depleted so maybe it's been sitting there too long. I'll change brands after 3 bad experiences w Clinique mascara

I curl my lashes with a lash curler and then apply 1 coat of the mascara and my lashes stay curled all day.

This mascara does not clump or bleed under my eyes. It fills my lashes perfectly. As far as comments about it being hard to remove, it's all in the process. Simply use whatever you like as a remover and gently rub your lashes between your fingers. Comes right off, even with water.

I was very impressed by this at first due to the lift and hold of the mascara. Then, like others, the mascara did not want to come off. It's very sticky and pulled some eyelashes out when I was removing it (even with my cleansing balm). I would not recommend.
