In the initial spray, the amber and woody notes were very prominent. To be honest, I didn't really like it at first. Upon the dry down, I noticed more warm and sweet notes while the stronger woody amber notes toned down. The vanilla notes emerged, and it became creamier and muskier. At this point, I... started to like the scent more. The one thing that really interested me in this perfume was the promise of juicy cherry notes. Unfortunately, I don't smell cherry at all. I thought maybe it was just how the perfume was reacting with my skin chemistry, so I had a few friends try it as well. We asked others to smell us and tell us what notes they could smell. Everyone said they smelled something sweet, but no one was picking up on cherry or any fruity notes. I was very excited about the cherry note, so I'm disappointed that none of us could smell it. However, I do appreciate the perfume's longevity. I could still smell it on my skin at the end of the day. It stays on clothes even longer. The scent was still noticeable a few days later when I was doing laundry. I also like the level of projection. It has moderate projection—noticeable but never overwhelming. I think the pink and gold bottle is pretty. I also like the atomizer. With some perfumes, the atomizers spray large droplets or spray too much product. This one sprays a fine mist with just the right amount of perfume. Overall, I don't hate it, but it is not what I would typically wear. I was hoping for a fresh cherry fragrance, but this is more of a sweet amber scent. I like the sweet notes and the longevity, but the amber pulls very resinous and woody on me. It's a nice perfume, but not for me. If you like cozy, warm amber perfumes, this may be the perfect option for you! *One issue I have been noticing in reviews and on fragrance discussions is that people are accidentally buying the wrong perfume due to how similar the bottles in the Her line are to each other. There are seven perfumes in the Her line. Two have different colored bottles, but five are pink, and all are shaped the same. There are slight differences in each pink bottle, but if you don't have all of them in front of you to compare the color variations, or if you're unfamiliar with the line, I do see how easy it could be to accidentally buy the wrong one. I think adding to the confusion is that some people don't realize there is a difference between Parfum and Eau de Parfum. This one will be labeled as a Parfum on the outside of the box, while the original Her is labeled Eau de Parfum. The original Her (Berries, Amber, Musk) comes in a clear pink bottle. The outside of the box or the sticker on the bottom of the bottle will say Eau de Parfum. This one is Her Parfum (Cherry, Amber Accord, Vanilla Absolute) and comes in an opaque dark pink bottle. Her Elixir De Parfum (Dark Red Berries, Jasmine, Vanilla) comes in an opaque medium pink bottle. Her Eau de Parfum Intense (Strawberry, Orange Blossom) comes in an opaque bottle that is the lightest shade of pink. Her Blossom de Toilette (Mandarin, Musk, Sandalwood) comes in a clear bottle, similar to the original Her de Parfum, but with a white cap instead of pink. I know the bottles aren't always easy to tell apart, but I hope that helps you get the right one! Look closely at the outside box or check the clear sticker on the bottom of the perfume bottle if you can't distinguish them by the color alone.
