Not for acne prone skin

I'm sure that this may work for some people, so take this with a grain of salt as everyone is different and I've heard good things about this cleanser. I'm just gonna share my experience as someone with combination, acne prone skin. I was already breaking out a bit, so I decided to give this cleans...

Damaged my skin and triggered acne

Submitted 1 day ago

By Anon

From Syracuse, NY

This product is not for all skin types. I used the product exactly how its recommended to be used, i researched multiple times to be sure. After about a week of adding this as a step in my routine paired with the foaming cleanser, my skin barrier was left damaged and my skin was rough and EXTREMELY congested. It took me over a year, and my skin is just now clear after moving back to a simple routine.

Silk butter cleanser

Submitted 2 days ago

By Jessa

From Houston, TX

I'm always hesitant in purchasing new products because I have sensitive skin and because I don't want to spend money on a wasted product. This pore cleansing oil goes on like about silk and butter. I was hoping it was a leave on moisturizer. You apply and just rinse. That's it. My skin feels so much cleaner and softer. Highly satisfied and highly recommend.

One of my favorite product

By Jas

From Aus

I didn't expect to like this cleansing oil this much! It melts makeup and sunscreen so quickly, and it emulsifies really nicely once water is added. My skin feels soft afterward instead of coated in oil. If you wear sunscreen or makeup daily, give this one a shot!

Does it have a fragrance? What does it smell like?
Asked by bean
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for reaching out to us! The Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil contains fragrance. Q
Will this help with closed comodones?
Asked by em
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for reaching out to us! The Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil helps dissolve makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum, and impurities that can contribute to clogged pores. As part of a consistent double-cleansing routine, it may help reduce congestion and support clearer-looking skin. However, closed comedones can have multiple causes, so the cleansing oil alone may not fully address them. For best results, we recommend pairing it with products that gently exfoliate and support pore care. Should you have any questions or need further assistance in the meantime, feel free to reach out - we’re happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Does it work well with people who have fungi acne?
Asked by Cecy
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for your question. The Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil has not been specifically tested or certified for fungal acne concerns. As individual skin conditions and sensitivities can vary, we're unable to confirm whether it is suitable for fungal acne-prone skin. If you have fungal acne or are particularly sensitive, we recommend reviewing the ingredient list carefully and consulting your dermatologist if needed before use. Should you have any questions or need further assistance in the meantime, feel free to reach out - we’re happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you

My pores around my nose are clogged and I didn't see any sebum when I put it on like in the videos. Should I not use this product?
Asked by Beauty queen
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for contacting us at Anua! Not seeing visible sebum during use does not necessarily indicate that the product is not working. Results can vary depending on individual skin conditions, pore congestion, and other factors. We recommend continuing to use the product as directed and evaluating its performance based on your overall skin condition over time. Should you have any questions or need further assistance in the meantime, feel free to reach out - we’re happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Is this gently enough to use on your eyes to remove waterproof mascara?
Asked by R
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for your question. The Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil is formulated to gently remove makeup, sunscreen, and impurities, and many customers do use it around the eye area. However, since the eye area is particularly delicate, we recommend using it gently and avoiding direct contact with the eyes. For waterproof mascara, the cleansing oil may help dissolve the product effectively, but depending on the formula and amount used, you may still need to massage gently or follow with a dedicated eye makeup remover if necessary. Should you have any questions or need further assistance in the meantime, feel free to reach out - we’re happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you

Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in the Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil. We’re happy to help clarify. For double cleansing, you can use: • Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil — first step to remove makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil (use on dry skin, then emulsify and rinse) • Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam — second step to gently cleanse remaining impurities This combination helps clean the skin effectively without over-drying, which is important for dry, mature skin. Q
I have sensitive acne-prone skin that gets oily around in between my eyebrows and sometimes my nose area but normal everywhere else. I also use the Corsx Snail Mucin Gel cleanser. Will this pair well with the cleanser and will it break me out/damage my skin?
Asked by kiki
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in our Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil. The Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil can generally be used alongside your current cleanser. In fact, it is commonly used as the first step of a double cleansing routine, followed by a water-based cleanser. For your skin type (sensitive, acne-prone with some oiliness), this product is designed to be gentle and soothing, helping to remove makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum without stripping the skin. We recommend: • Starting with once daily use in the evening (every other night if needed) • Emulsifying with lukewarm water and rinsing thoroughly, then following with your cleanser If you notice any irritation or breakouts, we recommend discontinuing use. Please feel free to reach out if you need further guidance. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
How does the oil remove dead skin/ which ingredient?
Asked by Lauren
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for your interest in our Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil. The cleansing oil works by dissolving oil-based impurities such as sunscreen, makeup, and excess sebum on the skin. When massaged onto dry skin and then emulsified with water, the oil helps lift impurities from the pores so they can be rinsed away. While it does not exfoliate dead skin cells like chemical exfoliants, the cleansing process can help leave the skin feeling smoother and clearer. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out - we’re happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you
