An Absolute Miracle I felt it for months. I researched. I dreamed. I knew I had to do it. I had to dye my hair teal. Specifically, Lime Crime's Unicorn Hair Full Coverage Dye in Sea Witch. However, my virgin hair is a medium-light brown, meaning I would need to bleach my hair first to achieve the color that was speaking so strongly to my soul. After spending a day bleaching and dying a test strand, I took the plunge and bleached my whole head of hair. As the smell and heat permeated the air around me, I'll admit, I had second thoughts. I could almost feel my hair cooking and I wasn't sure what the texture would be. As I hadn't dyed my hair in nearly a decade, with the exception of one semi-permanent purple applied without bleaching my hair, this was undeniably a scary process. After the Great Bleaching, my hair felt completely different. It was dry, brittle, straw-like, at least compared to my previous virgin hair. It was a texture I wasn't used to at all. Lime Crime's Unicorn Hair Dye is luckily almost like a colored hair mask, so that helped a little, but I knew I had to follow the advice I'd seen all over TikTok and from the hairstylist friends and family in my life: Olaplex. I was admittedly skeptical. Would it really be my Holy Grail product? Would it really make THAT much of a difference? Was it worth the price? The answer to all those questions is a bold, emphatic, from-the-chest YES. I was excited to see this duo in trial size bottles so I could try the system before committing to full-size products, though I did purchase an 8 in the full size, as it was recommended for best results. When I tell you I was floored, I. Was. Floored. My hair felt better after using Olaplex on bleached and dyed strands than it ever did before. Silky. Smooth. Frizz free. Strong. Shiny. Every single promise every hair product has ever come with came true with this system. It was easy to apply and enough product to do two treatments (I have long, fine hair). I haven't stopped preaching the gospel of Olaplex since. I immediately purchased these in the full-size bottles and continue to use it. I feel like my color is lasting longer and my hair continues to feel rejuvenated with every application. There are not enough good things I can say about Olaplex. But I have to also mention the product vs the price. Because of the highly-concentrated, superior-quality formula, you only have to use a little. So having full-size bottles of product, they are lasting for weeks (with 1-2 treatments per week). I anticipate them lasting probably around 2-3 months, and $60-$70 every 2-3 months comes down to $10-$30 per month for the BEST HAIR OF MY LIFE. If you ever question the price, I assure you, IT IS WORTH IT. In short, I'm in love. I will be a lifelong customer. I went on to purchase the hair oil as well and it's the only one that I've used in my LIFE that didn't feel like it weighed down my fine hair. Every product is incredible. Don't wait. Buy it.

Figured it was a fluke. I went and bought this and an Ulta consultant also mentioned to me that she's heard people experience hair loss with this. I have healthy hair that usually isn't damaged much by coloring or "bad" products that my friends have had damage with, so I figured I'd try it. I used it EXACTLY as directed, and immediately after the first use, I noticed my hair was super dry and frizzy after my blow dry, which is unusual. I gave it one more shot about a week later, and noticed not only the dryness, but when I ran my hands through it, hair came out. Like… a decent amount of hair. So I stopped using it. It's been about three weeks since I've touched it and my hair is still breaking SUPER easy and feeling dry. I also talked to a friend who said she's had more breakage lately and mentioned she didn't know why, because she's been using this Olaplex combo. I also have several friends, including hairdressers, who swear by this combo. So I can't totally bash it. It works for some people, just definitely not for me. I'd definitely do your research before purchasing!!

I have curly/wavy, frizzy, and unmanageable hair and I've tried a lot of name brand/expensive products that didn't work as advertised so I was skeptical when I tried this, but let me tell you - this stuff ACTUALLY works! I was so surprised at how soft my hair was and minimal frizz!
