I picked this product up while I was standing in line to check out. I use many Philosophy products so I was intrigued by the hand cream. I was not sorry for a minute for having chosen this product....being true to itself Philosophy has a definite winner with this hand cream....my hands are smoother and cuticles are softer than they've been in a long time. I also like that there is not an overpowering scent which Philosophy is also known for....my only wish is that it will come in a larger tube next time.
I cannot believe this product has any positive reviews. It made a huge mess in my car. The lotion was barely absorbed into my skin and little balls of hardened lotion went all over my car seat, the steering wheel and the floor of my car. I never write negative reviews. This product is the WORST!

Love this stuff! Not too thick, not at all greasy, and absorbs quickly. I abuse my hands a lot, and with winter approaching, it'll only get worse. Not much scent for those who prefer that, but if it comes in other scents, I'll be getting more!

I love Philosophy. This hand cream is thick but not at all greasy. Dries nicely. Lasts until you touch water. I need a much larger tube. We can get mega sizes in most things Philosophy but not this. Please make an affordable giant tube of Hands of Hope and scented too.
Too thick, no result from home
the emollient was too dense and did not actually recover skin during bitter cold winter seasons. I am grateful that I just bought a trial size.

Does what it's meant to do

Soothing for rough hands-small enough for my purse.

i wanted to love this, but it causes so much pilling i can literally rub my hands together and it will fall off, and it smells like play dough. it also doesn't have any nourishing effects. sad very sad .

I am partial - and ALWAYS satisfied with Philosophy products!

It didn't do much for my hands. I liked that it was thick, and at the time I put it on it felt ok. I didn't like how it smelled though. Smelled like play doh. And after washing my hands my hands felt dry again.

I LOVE using this hand and cuticle cream on my feet in the winter before putting on fuzzy socks to lock in moisture. This cream has worked wonders for my cuticles and it has a super faint, clean smell to it (less potent than other Philosophy products, like their shower gels!). This is one of my "must-haves" for the winter season and look forward to repurchasing!

This has NO unique or special ingredients in it. The only good thing in it is shea butter. The long list of added ingredients & chemicals pretty much cancels out any good in it. Save yourself a lot of money, and buy some good quality hand lotion with shea butter, or other oils in it. This tiny size, average/low quality product is WAY OVER PRICED !!!!!!

i tried this hand cream so many times in an attempt to like it. i just can't, i experienced so much pilling that i had to just wash it off. money down the drain

I am getting married in 4 days and got this as a last ditch effort to try and work some cuticle magic before my manicure. OH MY GOSH. This stuff is amazing, I'm both upset that I waited this long to try and also upset that It doesn't come in a bigger size to put on my nightstand.

I've tried a lot of hand creams, because my hands get SUPER dry. I've tried drugstore, I've tried 'prestige brands'. They've always either smelled awful/too strong, or didn't moisturize enough, or left my hands feeling greasy. I bought this to try, and I love it. It moisturizes my skin just enough, doesn't leave my hands greasy, absorbs quick. It DOES have a slightly medicinal smell when it comes out of the tube, but I no longer smell any scent once it is absorbed (within a minute of application). I'll be buying more.

This is a great hand lotion, does exactly what it's suppose to do. I even use it on my dry feet before bed.

I was hesitant to order this because of the reviews. It soaks in pretty well without any greasy feeling. I did not* experience any "pilling" of the product at all. Maybe I used less than other reviewers? However, even after putting in layer after layer, I see absolutely no difference in the texture of my hands or nails. I bought every scent available, including unscented, and there was no difference in results. I expected more from Philosophy.

I'm a huge fan of Philosophy's Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath in various scents, Purity face wash, Microdelivery facial wash, and Renewed Hope in a Jar, so I was expecting amazing results from Hands of Hope. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not a fan of the smell. It's supposed to be unscented but it has a strong waxy smell to it. I applied the lotion and while rubbing it in tiny round clumps formed on my hands. I brushed them off and finished the whole tube but I wouldn't ever purchase again. I didn't notice and difference in the feel of my hands after I finished the tube but my skin isn't that dry. I don't recommend Hands of Hope. There are way better hand lotions on the market!

after rubbing in teeny flakes/pieces of lotion developed!!??

This was shockingly bad. I say that knowing I always find something decent in most products. AND I love Philosophy in general. But...My hands felt no different before lotion than after lotion. I mean NO difference at all. Completely ineffective. This is with constant daily use as I keep it at work.

I like this cream very much, more for my cuticles than hands. It is very good on my hands, but the big difference for me has been my cuticles. I wish the size was bigger, 1oz does not last long. I don't mind paying for a product, it would just be more convenient. I will continue using it.

Normally the only thing that works for my hands has been hemp, but I work at a school so bringing it to work with me is out of the question. I wanted something heavy duty with little to no scent and this fits the bill.

I love philosophy- I use Purity religiously, and have tried their other skin care products via gift sets/samples and have loved them. My stress and anxiety makes me pick my nails and dig at the skin around my nails to the point where I rip the skin away and bleed. It's terrible, and I've recently made a conscious effort to stop. Since the my hands are always dry, making it easier to pick at my skin, I decided my first step would be to invest in a good hand cream. When I put this on, all these little gray pills appeared all over my hands. I don't know why, but I figured it was an exfoliant getting rid of my dead skin. This kept happening, and after reading other reviews, I learned that it's the lotion itself balling up. It's honestly so bad I cannot continue to use the lotion. The balls get EVERYWHERE. The lotion isn't greasy, has a little scent, and did hydrate my hands and make my nails a bit tougher. But the wax balls are so bad, I have to give it 2 stars. Would not recommend and will not repurchase, especially for the price.

Nice hand lotion that works fine. The bottle is quite small for the price.

Absorbs quickly, not greasy. Very good product. Didn't really detect a scent.

So I've been on a hunt for at least the last two years to find a hand lotion with a plesent smell, that obsorbed quickly (I work with tech stuff) and left my hands feeling nice.
They knocked it out of the ball park for hitting all of my ear marks and then some. I love using it - the scent is plesent and vanishes quickly once its obsorbed in to the skin. Doesn't leave a film or layer on the skin creating marks on clothes, keyboards or mice. I can't recomend this enough to those who work with computers all day and need something to keep your hands feeling happy.

I have to wash my hands a dozen times a shift with a harsh soap. This drys my hands out leaving them looking older then they are. This product has helped to leave them looking more youthful and less chapped.
