Q
Should I follow this with a moisturizer immediately after application or do I need to wait for it to settle into the skin before moisturizing?

Hi there! Please note there is no need to wait a certain amount of time in between application of products. As long as each product is massaged into the skin until absorption, you are welcome to apply the next product! Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Will it dry you out or burn from the retinol?
Asked by Gina
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi! You shouldn't experience dryness or burning from Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane. If you're new to Retinoids, we suggest starting off with a lower concentration such as Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion and increasing based on your skins tolerance <3 Hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

Better than expected! I'd been waiting for this to be available and got so lucky in November when was back in stock. I purchased three bottles hoping I'd fall in love with it as much as my other TO products. Well, let me tell you...…. I'd been using Sunday Riley Luna for a year and was pretty hap...

Too oily - uncomfortable on my skin!

Before I bought this product I was using the Granactive Retinoid 2% in emulsion and I really loved it. (It was like milk on my skin and super nourishing). It was working well so I wanted to increase the strength. Unfortunately, there isn't 5% in emulsion, so I took the one in squalane. I knew tha...

Maintenance

This product was great for maintaining healthy skin. It is super oily which I hated. Switched to the emulsion which does not work for clearing up breakouts I've been recently experiencing. Will try the retinol next for the breakouts in the hopes that since it's retinol and not retinoid the oil won't exacerbate the acne.

I have used the 2% emulsion for years and liked the way it felt on my skin, but felt it was time to move onto something stronger, I bought the 5% in squaline and I hated it. It was really, really oily and was not absorbed by my skin at all. I tried applying it at night and It stained my pillows and made my hair greasy where it had touched my skin. Applying it in the morning would be impossible without looking like a shiny oil slick. I only used one drop!

Congealed

I tried to use this after applying hyaluronic acid but it congeals, like rubbing sand into my skin, have to rub it off. Tried applying it both straight after hyaluronic acid and after waiting 30 mins but still congealed. Also stored in fridge. So not sure where I'm going wrong as apparently you can use hyaluronic acid beforehand

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
