How To Use

Apply morning and/or evening to dry face and eyes with a cotton pad, or with fingertips, in a gentle circular motion. Gently remove excess with a cotton pad. Follow with Gentle Toner and/or spray a fine mist of Avène Thermal Spring Water.

Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser...Best Product On The Market!!My daughter bought me this along with other Avene products as a Christmas present. I have very sensitive skin along with bouts of rosacea. This product is wonderful! Love the way it makes my skin feel. Smells great too! I rub it in, use a soft cloth to get the excess off. I follow up with the Gentle Toning Lotion. I have reordered and am happy with all the Avene products I have used! I am 61 years old and tried so many products over the years that did not work. Avene products work the very best for me. So happy that my daughter researched and found Avene!!HEAVILY FRAGRANCEDI bought this because I love milk cleaners and wanted to try something new after going through a bottle of my Stratia Milk Cleanser (which is great). However, I couldn't get past the first use without throwing it directly into the trash. I use a lot of products that are gentle enough for sensitive skin and none of them have such a heavy fragrance, because fragrance is irritating! I can't believe something made for sensitive skin has such a strong perfume smell. I hope they rethink this ingredient because the formula itself is very nice otherwise. A nice, milky texture that glides easily on the skin.

I love that it's made in France and it has a slight fragrance which I also love. I am tired of all products having zero fragrance. It is great quality and easy to use and does not require rinsing with water

TOO gentle ?

I understand this is meant to be a gentle product but it's gentle to the point of being rendered ineffective in my opinion. It feels (and works) more like straight up lotion than a cleanser. Yes it's moisturizing but I didn't feel or see that it effectively cleansed my face at all. If you're going to use it I'd suggest using a makeup remover first at the very least - honestly even with that additional step added you may need another product to completely remove all traces of product/oil/dirt.

Great for winter morning and when visiting desert weather

It's by far 1 of the most gentle & efficient cleanser I've used for winter AMs. If I use it at PM, I do follow up with miscellar water to remove any residue, if at all, & rinse it off always at AM &PM. Great for people with super dry/sensitive skin.

Terrible allergic reaction because of the fragrance!

I've never had such a bad reaction to any skin care products. The minute I put this in my face I felt the worst burning sensation and my whole face is red and blotchy. I know it is from the fragrance because I used the avene moisturizer with the same reaction. Take out the fragrance avene, it's so unnecessary. My skin looks awful now

I've been using this product to remove any sunscreen at the end of the day or to remove any product from the night before. I use it before my foam wash. It's super gentle and not drying. It has a luxury soft scent and I don't mind since you wash it off and the product does not stay on your skin so the fragrance is not an issue.
