Most Helpful Positive Review Let's talk about sunscreen First off - I received this product to try through Influenster's voxbox program.
Generally the items I receive I'm not too excited about and will barely review because it's not worth my time.
This product though - has so far, lived up to the hype.
1. The packaging is adorable. It comes in this sleek box, the bottle is a beautiful frosted glass with a pump top. I apply two pumps of the product to my fingers and then massage into my skin (after cleansing, vit-c serum, moisturizer).
2. I like to keep my skin products slightly chilled as this helps reduce any puffiness I have in the morning. This feels INCREDIBLE going on my face slightly chilled.
3. I've never seen a sunscreen absorb so fast. It literally SINKS into your skin. No greasy residue, no white cast (however, I am a 31yr caucasian female.), and after I finish drying my hair, my makeup goes on great over it. (**I do NOT use a primer, I don't know how a primer would do on top of this sunscreen - but my foundation blended fine over this sunscreen).
To compare it with something like... SuperGoops sunscreen... that product is almost a silicone type, super slippery. Reminds me of Smashbox's primers. This product is NOTHING like that. I would compare this product to a SUPER light moisturizer.
I live in Seattle, where the sun does NOT shine in february - so as far as SPF protection, I have no idea how it holds up. I do, however, sit in front of a computer for 10hrs a day at work - so anything that can help protect what collagen I have left in my face, will definitely be a repurchase for me.
Most Helpful Critical Review Was not for me I wanted to love this product but the product left a white cast on my face and went on streaky and it was surprisingly drying to my skin and I have oily skin. I do love the sun drops but now I'm left with the sun silk that I can't use. Totally bummed. Drops for the win.

I am so disappointed I love the company ethos and was searching for a reef safe sunscreen which would be as good as my current sunscreen.
Love the quality of protection 5

Love the quality of protection from sun with zinc oxide and not turning my face white!! Perfect.
Disappointed 2

Feels sticky, leaves a white residue, and just crumbles off when you try to rub it in in some places. I am disappointed as this feels like a waste of money for the price.
Leaves some white residue. It 3

Do not buy, I wish I could return the two bottles i bought. It leaves white marks and chunks all over our faces. I used to love the coola cucumber face sun screen that applied so smoothly. Please bring that one back.
just ok for a coola product 3

This does seem to work well as a protective mineral sunscreen; however, it definitely leaves your face slightly white (I was able to mix with Tarte's Glowtion for a lovely look) and not as smooth and silky as the 360 Sun Silk Drops. I wish I had repurchased the Sun Silk Drops actually!
Go with their other products instead... 3

I really wanted to love this product, especially since I love the COOLA cucumber facial sunscreen. But this was not it. It has a slightly sticky finish (that goes away after a bit, but is still not my favorite) and leaves white, dusty-looking patches if I don't apply it evenly. I was hoping it would be more like a lightweight cream, but there's just really something about the texture that doesn't sit well with me (or my skin). Not planning on purchasing this again.
Feels sticky on my face 1
MsKing81 from undisclosed
This product was sticky on my face and left almost a grimey feeling after. I changed my moisturizer and even tried not using moisturizer at all and it still felt like that. I do not care for this product one bit due to this. I so wish you would bring back my old tint sunscreen/bb cream. Because this ain't it...
Overall, I am very pleased 4

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Most important to me was that it did not leave a greasy feeling on my skin and it does not. I do wish it blended into my skin more evenly without using as much of the product, but it does soak in, you just have to rub it in a little more vigorously.
Light weight and leaves soft matte finish 3

One of the better mineral sunscreens for the face that I have used. I have sensitive skin and can't use chemical sunscreens on my face. It is one of the few products I have found that is lightweight and doesn't feel heavy, greasy or is super chalky white. It does leave a slight white hue and is a bit sticky until it is absorbed (perhaps from the aloe?). However, after 5 or 10 minutes it dries to the touch and leaves a lovely matte finish that makes my skin look almost flawless. A little goes a long way, and I have found applying a thin film works the best for absorption and to reduce the white cast. The one limitation is that it is difficult to use with other face products, like serums and moisturizers. I rarely wear makeup, so have been using this alone on bare skin as a daily sunscreen to limit my UV exposure. Only 3 stars because it is a bit pricey and difficult to use with other skin care products.
Patchy white residue 1

Wow I wish this sunscreen worked as well for me as it seems to for everyone else. It is SO hard to rub in and leaves big white patches across my face.
Not what I expected 2
laina from Hayward
I had used Coola products before and was happy with their results, but when I tried this sunscreen I was highly disappointed. It doesn't blend well on my skin and leaves noticeable white spots on my face, and it takes lots of intense rubbing to try to get it out. The stickiness doesn't bother me too much, but beware of that if that's something that annoys you if you chose to buy this product. On the plus side I will say that that it keeps my oily skin nice and matte looking all day, but that its, and once I'm done with the bottle I will not be repurchasing anymore from Coola.
So disappointed 1

I really was excited to get this product only to find that goes on a little bit dry and chalky- It does show a bit of a white cast. And like the other reviews, if you put make up over at the make up pills. I have never seen a sunscreen act this way. I really wanted to love it, and it is not cheap by any means! I definitely think that there could be a lot of improvements made on this product.
This product does not go 1

This product does not go on smoothly and leaves my skin sticky. Wish last year's mineral face product was still available. It was much better applying and throughout the day.
Not for me 2

I've been searching for a chemical free sunscreen, but unfortunately this is not the one for me. I find it hard to rub in and it leaves a white cast on my face that will only come off when I scrub it with water. I also find that my face feels sticky after I apply this sunscreen, which can last up to a couple of hours. Sadly, I will moving on to another brand once I finish this bottle.
Works great, it's a little 4

Works great, it's a little less absorbent than the classic face sunscreen. But still works ok under makeup. This is what I use mostly if not wearing makeup.
Causes makeup to pill 3
Kassi from undisclosed
While this works, I found it did not do well under makeup. It made my face dry and cakey and caused makeup to pill up. It also has a slight cast to it. It just isn't hydrating.
This is a great product, 4

This is a great product, no white cast. One thing I would change, is it a little drying and pills under makeup. Other than that, I do like this product.
Luxurious on my notoriously sensitive skin! 5

I've been using this product for a few months and I feel compelled to vouch to others who need fragrance-free products. It's so hard for me to find products that feel luxurious and non-irritating, and I'm so happy to have found this one. My skin is very sensitive to fragrance—even "natural fragrances" cause my face to puff up and itch for days (regardless of where I use the product). So, I don't get to use a lot of skincare that feels indulgent. But I LOVE this product. It's super gentle and I've never had any reaction to it, and beyond that, it feels silky and makes me WANT to put on sunscreen in the morning! I never thought I'd love a sunscreen—I've always really hated applying it, so I've never worn it often enough and I've ended up with a lot of sun damage. I didn't know that there were sunscreens that really felt like soft lotions—not greasy, shiny, smelly goops. The fact that I enjoy applying this sunscreen every morning is worth the price to me. Thank you for existing, Coola! I just wish all of Coola's products were fragrance free so I could try them all :)
Takes a minute to figure out but it's worth it 5

At first I tried applying this after cleansing, and I found that it wasn't moisturizing enough on its own for me (I have very dry skin). So the second time I applied a gel moisturizer first, let it sink in, and applied this. If you do too much it can be hard to blend in, but start with one pump and go from there. If you have oily skin this would likely be fine on its own without a moisturizer. It is a matte finish. Overall, I'm happy with the product and it works great under or over makeup and has a blurring effect (reduces the look of pores and uneven texture). Maybe not a moisturizer on it's own but definitely a great sunscreen with some healthy ingredients. Doesn't budge and feels velvety on your skin. Not greasy at all. I've recently decided to switch from a chemical to a mineral sunscreen and this is my favorite one so far. I also love the bottle and pump.
so very drying 3

Whole Lotta Nope :-( 3
Former Coola Fangirl from Chicago
As others have stated, this is very drying, even over a moisturizer. My first few pumps had white flecks in them that felt grainy. I've been shaking the bottle, which seems to have solved that problem and led to an overall improvement in the application process...but it's still sub-par.
I'm done putting this awful concoction on my face and will be using it on my legs in the hottest part of summer, only. Will definitely not repurchase.
Dries your skin 1

I really did not like this product. It was drying to my face and it added a white appearance to my face.
Would not purchase again 1

I love Coolas mineral face lotion, but it was out of stock at my local store so I tried this. I love the idea of the zinc ingredients as it provides the best coverage and protection, however this stuff does not blend well at all. It leaves splotchy spots that you cannot rub in. The texture when you put it in your had is very nice and silky feeling (hence the name), but that is about all that is good about it. I wouldn't even dare use this on my face, so its dedicated to just my chest until its gone.
Lightweight and effective 5

This sunscreen absorbs in easily and doesn't seem to leave a white (or blue/purple) cast, though I'm fair-skinned. The pump mechanism is phenomenal and dispenses a controllable amount super smoothly. Love!
