Bismuth Oxychloride is the first inactive ingredient listed in this product, which can cause an allergic reaction when mixed with sweat in some people. I was super bummed when this product arrived and I read the ingredients, because I'm one of the sweaty people who itches like crazy due to B.O. However, B.O aside, this is really an excellent product. You get 2.5 oz for a decent price, it's very light on the skin and yet a bit moisturizing, does not cause breakouts/congestion and has a slight tint. It also has a 20% concentration of zinc oxide as the main UVB-UVA protector which is ideal but uncommon and hard to find. So minus the B.O, this product is a winner. I also have the sensitive skin version of the Cotz sunscreens and I like it as well. It is just thicker, more moisturizing and untinted without the B.O. I wish Cotz would make this without the B.O as I would prefer this sunscreen to the sensitive one for the summer. So the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is due to the inclusion of the well-known irritant bismuth oxychloride.
I have been wearing sunscreen everyday for the last 30 years, so I have used tons of different brands from all over the world! I favor tinted sunscreen so that I can just dash out for quick errands without putting on makeup. This product only has a very light tint, so it is not really enough to cover up my light freckles and even out my skin tone, unlike other tinted sunscreen and BB/CC cream I have used. Also, it is slightly greasy, I can see a thin film of oil on my face. Great for my dry skin, but not so great when I put on foundation for those days that call for a more made up face. My complexion looks dewy at first but after a few hours, it turns greasy. It is value for money though, as it comes in quite a big size for its price. May be better for the colder and drier winter months.

I have dry, extremely sensitive, eczema-prone, medium skin and I really enjoy this sunscreen! It doesn't leave a white cast but you still have to do some some work to get it to dry down. My skin can't handle too much rubbing so I like to set it with some powder so it doesn't transfer to my mask. I love this for my dry skin but it might feel too greasy if you have oily skin. Also, just be careful not to get it in your eyes cause it may burn. Besides these minor issues, this product is excellent and I definitely recommend, especially if you've got skin like me.

I have been searching for a mineral sunscreen for SO LONG for my medium deep tan skin, and my search is finally over! Although I have to rub this sunscreen in for a minute or two, it leaves no white cast at all and blends perfectly into my skin tone. It is leaves a very shiny finish, which I fix by just gently blotting it with a tissue. Overall I definitely recommend this for dark skin, it's the only mineral sunscreen I've tried that leaves no white cast AT ALL. I've tried Kinship self reflect which is good for my hands, but still leaves a slightly purple cast on my face.
HOWEVER. When I ordered this sunscreen for the second time, the sunscreen bottle was slightly cut, akin to a papercut. I didn't return my sunscreen because I already disposed of the return label, but if it happens again I will not be repurchasing, and I'll be sure to leave another review about that.
Overall, this sunscreen exceeded my expectations and I would recommend this 100%!

Bomb, it's so bomb! looks great before makeup, has a light tint but with a lot of glow. I would reccomend it to my fellow dry skinners!

I did not like this product. I was recommended this product by an ulta employee and when she put some on my hand, it felt nice and soft but that was not the case with my face.
It makes your face super greasy and I had to wear makeup over it to try and cover the shininess. It also feels heavy and you have to wait awhile for it to dry.
mamad from san diego
Tried it but too greasy did the 40 spa and it is perfect.

It's so hard for us who have darker complexions to find a mineral sunscreen that does make us look like Casper, but this is the one!!! Just takes some rubbing in and it blends in pretty seamlessly. I recommend trying it out!

I'm pretty pale and this blends in pretty good, but it is so so so shiny! I used 2 fingers to measure the proper amount and with that much I shine all day and it never dries down to a finish, it's always oily to the touch

This is the best mineral sunscreen I've tried thus far. I'm about the shade of Nicki Minaj and Kerry Washington and it doesn't leave a white cast and it's not hard to rub in. However, the finish is so shiny. Extremely shiny. Like I've had to tell people that I wasn't sweating. I prefer a natural/satin finish for my normal skin type. If you don't mind or prefer a dewy finish or have dry skin, this sunscreen is the one for you. I subtracted a star for personal preference but it really is a great mineral sunscreen if white cast is a major factor for you.

I don't really find it greasy, but it does have a shiny finish. The main thing is, it doesn't feel itchy/heavy/sticky like so many mineral sunscreens. It doesn't cause breakouts for my skin, and it's not especially drying. I find I can reapply it comfortably. If I need it to dry down more quickly I use a dry blending sponge and just kind of bounce it around until the moisture is all blotted away. It's just as nice as the Clinique mineral spf, but seems to offer a little better protection. Also compares favorably to the Dr Dennis Gross, which is really great but way more money, and has a bit of a tacky/dry finish.

Its lightly tinted and blends in very well with my olive skin-tone but its soooooooooo greasy it looks like i put oil on my face , i have very dry skin from using retinol and this sunscreen just makes me look sooo oily !!!! Other than that it has no smell, nice tint

This my favorite sun screen. I have very sensitive skin and this does not break me out.

I use this on my face everyday both alone and under foundation. It glides on smoothly and does not leave chalky residue. It gives my skin a dewy look, so I would imagine that it not be ideal for people who have oily skin.

This is without a doubt my favorite daily SPF. I have a very fair complexion with rosacea and extremely sensitive skin. This is one of the only tinted SPFs that does not irritate my skin. I love that this product is fragrance free, apparently free of all other irritants, doesn't clog my pores, and super affordable. The light tint doesn't over power my fair complexion or make me look too orange or tan either. Obviously everyone is different, so it's possible this would irritate others with sensitive skin, but I feel like overall compared to many of the other brands this one does a great job of providing adequate sun protection with a very gentle formula.

I apply this daily under my foundation. Great product!

I have been searching the internet for mineral sunscreen that actually works and doesn't leave a white cast on my brown skin. This is the one. I am brown skinned (think Logan Laurice and Yara Shahidi colored). This leaves no white cast what so ever! It takes a little while to rub in, as all face sunscreens usually do, but once you do you definitely don't need to worry about looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost. The zinc they use doesn't dry out my skin like others I've tried and this sunscreeen does NOT break me out. My only minor complaint is that it is irritating to the eyes but nearly all sunscreens are and advise to keep it away from your eyes/eyelids. Other than that I give it 5 stars. My years of hunting for mineral sunscreen is over. :)

Best physical sunscreen for black girls! I have milk chocolate Skin complexion and this sunscreen works wonders. It blends perfectly and doesn't leave a exit cast like other sunscreens do. I do have oily skin and only tried this in cold weather, unsure if it'll be greasy in hot weather but I would definitely recommend. You won't regret it!

I love this sunscreen! It is perfect for dry skin. It leaves the skin hydrated and with a nice dewy finish, and is not drying like most mineral sunscreen formulas I've tried. The tint helps alleviate any white cast, but was not too dark/orange for my fair skin tone. I love that it comes in a good sized tube, and it is a great price! I could see people with oily skin finding this to be greasy, and definitely give the bottle a good shake before you open it! But if you have dry skin, and are looking for a mineral sunscreen, I would highly recommend this, and will continue to repurchase this!

This sunscreen really had me in the first half. All mineral with iron oxides for extra visible light protection and a little Vitamin C as a boost. I am darker skinned (about Gabrielle Union's shade) and this sunscreen did fully disappear and left no white cast. However, depending on the day it can look really greasy! Some days it dries down fine and some days no amount of powder can hide the excess shine, and my skincare routine is the same every morning. If it were consistently less shiny it would be perfect. If you have drier skin you will probably love it.

I have tried numerous sunscreens and I found that many of them were oily, too dry, or left a white cast on my face. This one does none of that. It feels so nice when you put it on and disappears quickly. The consistency feels very luxurious and little bit gets you great coverage. I love that its tinted so not to leave the white cast I get with so many sunscreens. I don't get the oiliness that some reviews noted. Its more of a soft "dewy" feel but I like that feel, and it dries quickly. It feels like its moisturizing. I feel its a bit expensive at 25 dollars for 2.5 ounces but its definitely worth it.

This is my favorite. Great physical sunscreen that gives coverage and doesn't settle in lines.

I have a deeper skin tone, so I was worried the tint would noticeably show up, but to my surprise it blended in well. There is a slight tint, but it's not enough to make me feel uncomfortable wearing this outside.
Sadly, that's all I liked about this sunscreen. I really wanted to love it, but no matter how I applied it to my face, I would always end up looking super oily and greasy. With my combination skin, most zinc-based sunscreens feel more matte on my skin, and this for sure did not. After an hour, this would start to feel heavy, and it felt like my skin couldn't breathe. I also had minor stinging in my eyes, and would feel my face warming up while I had this on. This also has that distinct sunscreen smell, which I wasn't a fan of. I can't see myself buying this again.

I have pale, dry, sensitive, breakout prone skin and I love this stuff. It's quite moisturizing and a little "greasy" looking at first but sinks in very nicely in just a few minutes. Great under makeup or alone, and doesn't break me out even wearing under a KN95 face mask every single day for work.

i really wanted to love this and was so excited to try it out, but it doesn't work for me. like many of the other reviews said, it does not dry down or sink in at all. i have really really dry acne prone skin, and honestly i felt like it made my acne worse. no matter how long i waited it wouldn't set in, so my face literally looked wet. used it for a week and i can't get myself to continue. i find that tinted sunscreens tend to come off easily, so whenever i wore a mask i would see residue from the tint. so sad since it doesn't leave a white cast ):

I chose this SPF because i saw a youtuber talk about how it melts into the skin and doesn't leave a white cast & she was not wrong! I much prefer a mineral based SPF vs a chemical because chemical SPFs are kinda of sketchy (more research needs to be done) but with mineral SPFs you have a high chance of getting that white cast; so i'm sooo happy this doesn't do that.
For skin tone reference my complexion is
similar to kelly rowland, gabrielle union, skai jackson, etc.

As a daily sunscreen it hasn't made me break out with two weeks of use. I like that the tint counters any whitecast and you can almost use it as a tinted moisturizer on light makeup days.
