Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent except for 1 thing! Bismuth Oxychloride is the first inactive ingredient listed in this product, which can cause an allergic reaction when mixed with sweat in some people. I was super bummed when this product arrived and I read the ingredients, because I'm one of the sweaty people who itches like crazy due to B.O. However, B.O aside, this is really an excellent product. You get 2.5 oz for a decent price, it's very light on the skin and yet a bit moisturizing, does not cause breakouts/congestion and has a slight tint. It also has a 20% concentration of zinc oxide as the main UVB-UVA protector which is ideal but uncommon and hard to find. So minus the B.O, this product is a winner. I also have the sensitive skin version of the Cotz sunscreens and I like it as well. It is just thicker, more moisturizing and untinted without the B.O. I wish Cotz would make this without the B.O as I would prefer this sunscreen to the sensitive one for the summer. So the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is due to the inclusion of the well-known irritant bismuth oxychloride.
Most Helpful Critical Review Very light coverage, slightly greasy I have been wearing sunscreen everyday for the last 30 years, so I have used tons of different brands from all over the world! I favor tinted sunscreen so that I can just dash out for quick errands without putting on makeup. This product only has a very light tint, so it is not really enough to cover up my light freckles and even out my skin tone, unlike other tinted sunscreen and BB/CC cream I have used. Also, it is slightly greasy, I can see a thin film of oil on my face. Great for my dry skin, but not so great when I put on foundation for those days that call for a more made up face. My complexion looks dewy at first but after a few hours, it turns greasy. It is value for money though, as it comes in quite a big size for its price. May be better for the colder and drier winter months.

So impressed with this sunscreen. I have fitzpatrick Type 4 skin and spent so much money and time looking for a 100% mineral sunscreen because chemical ones usually irritate me. I finally found this and the non tinted version and they are AMAZING. It has a dewy finish, as with most sunscreens, and it is a little greasy at first (I use two finger lengths worth) but settles after 10 or so minutes. Overall I highly recommend !
Best sunscreen for dry sensitive skin 5
Rayna from Rhode Island
I have extremely dry, sensitive, eczema prone skin and this sunscreen works great for me. I use it daily after cleansing and moisturizing. It is lightly tinted but gives a nice blurring effect without being orange. I use this in place of foundation. If you have oily skin, I think this would be too greasy/shiny. But for me, it sinks into my skin so nicely without the dry feeling that most mineral sunscreens can leave.
Sticky mess 2
Yaya from Arizona
I have dry skin and was exited to try this moisturizing sunscreen. Unfortunately it leaves behind a sticky residue that does not go away. It feels uncomfortable and heavy on my skin. I'll be returning it after two uses.
Greasiest formula I've ever tried 1
Sara L from Denver CO
I watched a review saying this was good for olive/brown skin tones but this is the greasiest formula and I'm shocked anyone would recommend this. Makes my face look like it's soaking wet and only gets more greasy/wet looking the longer it's on. My skin IS on the oilier side so I can imagine this would only work for people with EXTREMELY dry skin.
I'm so dissapointed I spent $ on this. Can't even use it on my body because it'll stain clothes. What a waste.
Great on dry skin 4

Love this sunscreen for the winter months. It is very dewy and great for skin of color blends right in. I will be purchasing again.
VERY greasy! 2
Cmtran85 from Florida
I don't know how people can say this isn't greasy. It's extremely oily/greasy and I have dry skin. My face looks so shiny after application. It does dry down but takes a couple of hours! Definitely not a good thing if you want to apply makeup over it.
would NOT buy again, it is comedogenic 1
jane doe from savannah, GA
this product clogs my pores! it is like small bumps whiteheads on my forehead, chin, sides of my chick, and nose. if i wear it in the morning, by evening my face is clogged. would not recommend it. it does not have a PA rating anyway
Greasy but tinted formula blends into skin 3
Lily from Ohio
It's magic in that it blends right into your skin but it's super greasy and I have to use coconut oil and a warm wash cloth to get it off at the end of the day. It's sucks that you can't sweat or go to the pool or beach with it.
Oily ppl: don't waste your money 3

I love the idea of this sunscreen, unfortunately we are not a match. I'm tired of the mineral, tinted, silicone textured sunscreens and wanted a "creamy" one. This is exactly that! However, I'm oily and not very acne prone and this broke me out with cystic acne in 5 places in 2 days. Something in it makes you glowy in a bad way. Will be returning, I'd say if you have normal to dry skin you'd like it
Wow, try this one 5

I am so pleasantly surprised with this physical spf. It was recommended to me by an esthetician on tik tok (lol). I was skeptical because I have tried so many sunscreens, including mineral/physical, that just have not worked for my dry, sensitive eczematic skin. Mineral spfs tend to be drying because of the titanium dioxide/zinc but this one is anything BUT drying. It's so moisturizing and luminous. It wore well throughout the day and I did not have any more irritation than normal compared to any other spf. The only ones I can use are Korean (Canmake, Ishesan, etc) so I'm used to a glowy finish. It's not greasy and it did set down after a while. I think this would would for all skin types. If you're oily, it may not be your go to, but set with a little powder and I think you'd be good. I also think this would wear well under makeup. I'm really excited to have an spf that's easily accessible option at Ulta, rather than ordering multiple at a time from Yesstyle and waiting a few weeks for shipping. Give this one a try! It's also 2+ oz which is more than the average.
SO GREASY 2
Kylee from Houston, TX
This stuff makes my face so sticky, greasy, and shiny, and just generally feels gross. It eventually sinks in, but it takes hours.
An amazing option for those with darker and dryer skin 5
Nocyia from New York
I have tried so many mineral sunscreens and all have left some type of white cast, except this one. It is tinted which I like and makes my face look hydrated and dewy. I have used this for the last 6 months and still enjoy it. Plus I think it's relatively cheap compared to other sunscreens especially if you get it during a deal.

Pros:
- Tinted
- Leaves no white cast
- Applies smoothly
Cons:
- Leaves face feeling very greasy and shiny (even with the smallest application)
- Runny consistency and could spill if you open it facing downwards
My skin is dry to combo and no matter when I apply this sunscreen (after skincare or reapplication) its always greasy and shiny and my hands also feel greasy.
Great Mineral Sunscreen For Darker Skin 5
Chika from Jersey Shore
I heard about this sunscreen from Brown Skin Derm on IG. I have been using this sunscreen for a month now. I am Black and this sunscreen leaves no white cast. I have oily, acne-prone skin and this doesn't break me out. My face doesn't feel greasy when I use it, but it does leave me with a "glazed donut" look. Which is fine. My face looks healthy, not oily. I'll be repurchasing.
almost perfect 4
Andie from ohio
this is my go to for daily uva protection and I've tried ALOT of mineral sunscreens. it never fully dries down and my hair sticks in it though, but it's great for work when I have to have my hair up anyway. it's got the coverage of a tinted moisturizer, and it works well for my dry skin, although it's not moisturizing on its own, more of an occlusive ro trap moisture in. the only better one is mychelle sun liquid, but its to expensive for daily use
Holy grail sunscreen 5
Erin from South Jersey
First off, I'm Fitzpatrick type 2 skin, and it's generally dry and not prone to breakouts. My neck is very sensitive, and my eyes don't tolerate chemical sunscreens well, so I try to always do mineral for my face. Both this and the 'sensitive' formula by Cōtz are an absolute A+ in the whitecast department. But what I really like about this one is that the tint is PERFECT. I've tried other tinted products and the tint is always waaaaay too dark/orangey for my light/ neutral skin. This stuff is, as the name says, flawless. It provides sheer coverage that blends so naturally with the rest of my skin. It's perfect for a no-makeup makeup look! The biggest downside of it is that it does have a very shiny finish and stays a bit tacky to the touch, but I just tap on a bit of e.l.f. loose HD powder and it's good to go. For my dry skin this works out great, but if you're a combo or oily type, this product may not suit you. This one is easier to wash off than the sensitive formula, but I would still recommend a thorough double cleanse.

I bought this product on recommendation from Ulta employee. Usually I buy the La Roche Poshay but she insisted this had better ingredients. It's goes on greasy, I tried it with and without my regular everyday face lotion, both ways greasy. Once it settled and applied my makeup, my face was flawless. I tried alone with no makeup still greasy, sticky feeling all day. It doesn't wash off with regular cleaner and made me break out in areas where I never break out like my neck. Unfortunately I would not recommend this product to anyone with combination skin, even slight acne or occasional break outs.
Good - not great 3
Momo from AZ
I like using only mineral sunscreens on my face, due to sensitive skin that can break out in hives or get red/irritated easily. I have light-med, normal/dry skin without acne. I picked this up because it has a whopping 2.5 oz while being tinted. I've been using it for several months now, and I'm just trying to use it up at this point. I used to not rub it in as much, which left me shiny, but it's a satin finish when I actually rub it in correctly. It doesn't add coverage and is fine under makeup. The texture feels like a mix of silicone and cream, which I don't personally find appealing. It feels like it sits on top of my skin. It doesn't have any white cast. It doesn't burn when I place it on my eyelids or around my eyes. It's actually great on the neck. But the way it sits on the face feels heavier than preferred and makes me feel like I might break out at any moment. Although it is not water resistant, I still use a cleansing oil to break it down at night because of the heavier texture, which causes some clogged pores every once in a while. Including bismuth oxychloride may be a culprit for acne/sensitivity breakouts. I alternate this with the Kinship sunscreen, which is far superior in texture with no white cast. It never feels heavy and is dewy instead of shiny. Please note: I don't just glop on sunscreen lol - I apply and reapply the recommended amount. I may explore the other Cotz sunscreens but won't be repurchasing this one. It's great for adequate sun protection, but I'd rather choose something that can do the same and feel nice too.
Great for sensitive, dry, medium-toned skin! 5
Brooke from Hawaii
I have dry, extremely sensitive, eczema-prone, medium skin and I really enjoy this sunscreen! It doesn't leave a white cast but you still have to do some some work to get it to dry down. My skin can't handle too much rubbing so I like to set it with some powder so it doesn't transfer to my mask. I love this for my dry skin but it might feel too greasy if you have oily skin. Also, just be careful not to get it in your eyes cause it may burn. Besides these minor issues, this product is excellent and I definitely recommend, especially if you've got skin like me.
Best mineral sunscreen for dark skin! 4
AzizaPizza from Bronx, New York
I have been searching for a mineral sunscreen for SO LONG for my medium deep tan skin, and my search is finally over! Although I have to rub this sunscreen in for a minute or two, it leaves no white cast at all and blends perfectly into my skin tone. It is leaves a very shiny finish, which I fix by just gently blotting it with a tissue. Overall I definitely recommend this for dark skin, it's the only mineral sunscreen I've tried that leaves no white cast AT ALL. I've tried Kinship self reflect which is good for my hands, but still leaves a slightly purple cast on my face.
HOWEVER. When I ordered this sunscreen for the second time, the sunscreen bottle was slightly cut, akin to a papercut. I didn't return my sunscreen because I already disposed of the return label, but if it happens again I will not be repurchasing, and I'll be sure to leave another review about that.
Overall, this sunscreen exceeded my expectations and I would recommend this 100%!

Bomb, it's so bomb! looks great before makeup, has a light tint but with a lot of glow. I would reccomend it to my fellow dry skinners!
Super greasy face 1
Garlicmashed from San Diego, ca
I did not like this product. I was recommended this product by an ulta employee and when she put some on my hand, it felt nice and soft but that was not the case with my face.
It makes your face super greasy and I had to wear makeup over it to try and cover the shininess. It also feels heavy and you have to wait awhile for it to dry.
too greasy did the 40 spf. 2
mamad from san diego
Tried it but too greasy did the 40 spa and it is perfect.
No white cast on dark skin! 5
Michelle from Washington D.C.
It's so hard for us who have darker complexions to find a mineral sunscreen that does make us look like Casper, but this is the one!!! Just takes some rubbing in and it blends in pretty seamlessly. I recommend trying it out!
Soooo shiny! 3
Florida from Florida
I'm pretty pale and this blends in pretty good, but it is so so so shiny! I used 2 fingers to measure the proper amount and with that much I shine all day and it never dries down to a finish, it's always oily to the touch
