Most Helpful Positive Review Oxblood Oxblood is a nice brick/dark red. It doesn't get very intense pigment wise, it stays kind of patchy unless set with a corresponding powder. Once I set it, though, it was hard to smear or even get off without remover! I'm pretty happy and it'll be a wonderful addition to my color collection.
Most Helpful Critical Review Color swatches are way off I just purchased Blackberry, thinking it was going to be a deep mauve because of the photo that shows it, and it's completely not. The name is way more accurate than the photo because when I got my order, I thought I purchased the wrong shade. It's soooo much darker in person and it's more of a deep plum. It glides nicely and it seems it would work in my waterline pretty well but they need to step their search game up, because I'm disappointed that it looks nothing like the photo.

Not retractable! You have to sharpen it. I tried 2 eyeliner sharpeners and it is impossible to sharpen it smoothly. Left me with a jagged sharp piece of the pencil and it was about 2 inches shorter. Don't buy it! There are much better products.
I love these, but 3

I have like 5 colors of these, I repurchased burnt sienna probably 4x, but the thing I hate about them is that they dry out. I can never use a whole pencil before the color dries out & falls out of the pencil every time I take the lid off. Yes, it's cheap- but I should be able to use the whole product & not throw half away bc it's dried out.
Nice eyeliner. Definitely not green like the picture. 4

The onyx color, which looks like deep green in the swatch, is a dark matte grey. Still nice, but definitely misleading.

They're splendid! The quality, the packaging. Thank You very much! I definitely recommend these pencils. They stay so long, don't smudge, easy to blend if it's necessary.
Good luck sharpening this thing 2

I bought this in Blackberry. It says inner eye liner but it doesn't work on the inner lid at all. On my lid, the color is nice. Biggest problem is sharpening it. It is not made of wood, I'm not sure what it is made of but it feels like it is destroying my sharpener and it keeps breaking. It is also crumbly and gets all over my lashes. I am not a fan.
Lovely Color, Not Great for Sensitive Eyes :( 2

I think the Black Hole color is a super close dupe for another expensive brand that I found crumbly and dry and tugging and impossible to wear because I have really sensitive eyes. So, I was super excited to pick it up. Unfortunately, the color is gorgeous, but it is equally dry and crumbly and difficult to apply, and I had to remove it quickly because it so irritated my eyes. So disappointed, because I LOVE the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, they are a dream for sensitive eyes, and I was hoping this would be too. Two stars for the lovely shade.
Beautiful color! 4

Beautiful color goes on smoothly, it is not long lasting tho! It uses a lot of product going on, I have to sharpen frequently!
But the color is perfect, I'm glad I purchased multiple of the one color

Perfect for enhancing eyes 5

I love to wear these on my waterline. They last very well and bring out my eyes. I love that they aren't actually black which can be too harsh. I have most of the colors already and plan to get the rest. The only color thats intimidating is the oxblood since it's so red.

almost perfect red 4

I like this. I'd love it better if it was liquid, retractable/self sharpening, or the kind that comes in a little jar... it's almost the perfect shade of dark red I'm looking for in a red eyeliner. it's not as smooth as liquid, but it went on smooth enough, didn't blend with my shadow, and seems to be staying put all day. the quality I expect from nyx :)
4 stars cause I have aging Asian eyes and even tho it's smooth enough, if I don't put it on slowly, it drags my lid a little, kind of why I switched to liquid liners. it went on dark enough with one swoop and only had to touch up the outer corners where it tends to drag. am gonna try another red in another brand, but so far this is a winning dark red.
Nice color 4

I purchased this eyeliner in Obsidian. It's a great color. I did not realize this was a regular pencil that I had to sharpen. That aspect is cumbersome and I feel a lot of product is wasted in the sharpening process. Too bad this can't come in a retractable version.
No more red dyes 1

terrible 3
TGeissler from Hannibal, MO
I bought all 8 of these. the first 3 i opened were broken before i could even swatch them.
they dont work in the waterline at all they are too streaky and clumpy and flake all over in the lashes and then I have flakes all over my face and in my eyes. the color wont even dispense on to the eye enough to see it, it just keeps picking up the color and clumping.

Burnt Sienna 5
CatSeamus from New York City
The Burnt Sienna color is literally the most gorgeous brown/burgundy eyeliner I've ever tried. This is the only color eyeliner I buy "back ups" of as I'm afraid to run out. I have brown eyes and this particular color looks better than others.
Surprisingly nice 4

I was looking for a little more purple-black color. This is black-blue. It's nice even though not exactly what I wanted. Surprised with the price being so affordable it acts like a higher end brand name I usually use.
Great colors and stays in place 5

Beautiful, rich colors that go on creamy and have serious lasting power. Great alternatives to black liner!
nice at first 2
Beli from NJ
I love the burnt sienna, however, once it needs sharpening, it keeps breaking so you keep sharpening, and then you realized it chewed up most of the liner. :(
I would not buy again because I asked a sales associate 1

Great Formula, Color was... Unexpected. 4
Elle from Granger, IN
So I bought Burnt Sienna, I ordered online and was looking specifically for a really dark burgundy. Unfortunately, Burnt Sienna doesn't quite show up that color on my skintone. Granted, my skin tone is extremely pale, and colors show up on me differently. With that being said, its closer to a red brown in the light of my mirror (neutral or white&yellow lights) and in the sunlight it's a really pretty rust-brown/rust-orange color. I think for what I was looking for, I would have gotten closer to the desired color with Oxblood or Blackberry, or mixing the two together, which I plan on doing because I really like the formula, really smooth, really soft on the waterline, not insanely pigmented on the first swipe, but I prefer that because I can control the intensity of the color. It also holds on for dear life, I put it on and was immediately disappointed and when I went to wipe it off it didn't even move a little bit, so either have makeup remover close by for mistakes or be prepared to keep it all day. I will still use this shade, as a brown or I will sanitize it and give it to family.
