The bad reviews you read here for this brush are NOT accurate. I write very few reviews (probably five in my whole life, 24yrs old) and I just couldn't let others bash this brush and not praise it because I think it is Great! It is perfect for applying blushes and bronzers, even powders so that it goes on light, natural and beautiful. It is also just the most perfect brush to clean up fallout and eye shadow mess around the eye area. It gives a very clean, polished look when dusted around the eye. Whenever I feel like I have messed up, over applied and blended my eye makeup poorly I reach for this brush and use it to blend my eye make up (especially in my crease) and it just makes everything look perfect, blended and natural. Also whenever I go too far on the outer corners of me eye I use this brush to fix and even out the edges. I find the bristles to be perfect as it is a FANBRUSH. Designed for light application and ideal for cleaning up your eye makeup. THE BRUSH HAS NOT LOST ITS SHAPE AT ALL. It is still a perfect fan shape. I have owned this brush for over two years and it is still amazing. Not one bristle shed and probably over a hundred washes!!! The brush top did unglue and came loose, but that was from all the washing and water. Sometimes I did leave it submersed in a cup of water for a long time. It can easily be fixed with glue but if you are carful and just wash the bristles when needed it will be ok. I personally though away the stick/handle part recently and just use the fan part. Works the same, but is now more compact! This cosmetic line practically gives us high-end quality makeup and tools! I couldn't ask for more:)
Needed a brush for highlighters and so I got this thinking it would do the trick, and though it wasn't a completely terrible brush, it was too soft and sparse to do much by way of blending. I would have a stripe of highlighter on my face and would have to go back in with my finger or a different brush to get the edges. Could just be that fan brushes aren't for me, but this is something that I wish I hadn't bought because I never use it anymore.

This brush is great. It applies my loose highlighter powder wonderfully. I like a subtle highlight and this brush allows me to apply a little highlight.

Using this to sparingly apply highlighter.

Got this for Xmas with a highlighter and it's excellent. Very light and easy to use especially if you just want a subtle sweep of highlight.

Beautiful packaging! Good quality for your money. Love how it's cruelty free

I use this mostly for highlighter and on the rare occasion i use contour colors to get really specific placement before blending out. It isn't super dense so if you really like to pack on the highlighter this will probably be a finicky for you but I really like how soft and natural it turns out.

If you have the extra money I do advise to get the highlighter brush or tapered brush so much better than the fan brush. The fan brush doesn't really pick up a lot of product so it takes longer to put on your highlighter.

Ulta shouldn't carry products that are not to their standards

I really wanted to love this brush, but I felt it was pretty worthless and didn't really apply anything.

I purchased this product to apply highlighter to my face. When using this brush, the bristles of the fan are hard to pick up the highlighter products I use. When applying the highlighter with the fan brush, the bristles feel a little rough and hard on my face. I absolutely love e.l.f. Products. I have many of their other makeup brushes AND a nice amount of their beauty products as well (which I love). This particular product was just a dud for me. The price was reasonable for the fan brush, so I purchased with the intention of liking it as I do with many of their other products. Although I would not recommend this brush personally, I would totally recommend plenty of their other items, and will certainly continue to shop e.l.f. despite my dissatisfaction for this purchase.

This brush definitely is not that great. It doesn't hold product well or put it on well

I use this brush for my highlight and it works really well. The bristles are very soft and even though this isn't an expensive brush, I'm not seeing any of the bristles falling out like I have from other brands' inexpensive brushes I've purchased.

I bought this to use for my highlighter, and it didn't perform well. I felt like it wasn't picking up any product and ended up buying another brush for this purpose

WASTE OF MONEY!!!! It didn't work how it was supposed to. It was very flimsy.

I tried to apply highlighter with this brush thinking it would work. It didn't pick up any of the highlighter. The bristles wouldn't stay in place when I rubbed it on the highlighter and on my face.
eva from san francisco
it was loose and didn't have an actual shape, doesn't pick up any product and doesn't put any on your face. When you go to apply the product, the brush looses its shape immediately. bad brush, don't get.

Not a good fan brush, I returned it.

Took over a million times to at least get some kind of shine from this brush

I love this for blush and highlight, really great and affordable!

It's an okay brush for highlight application but probably not the best for trying not to pack on a highlight.
