Most Helpful Positive Review Great for minimizing pores! I have been using the green primer for almost a year now and it's incredible how much it covers up the redness on my cheeks. I have never been more impressed with a product. I've used high end primers that are suppose to work to cancel out redness but none compare to how Maybelline's green primer works for my oily skin tone. It really does a great job with settling into my skin and minimizing my pores, gives a really nice blurry type of finish, and is super affordable. A little goes a long way and is now a product I CAN NOT live without!! I also notice that my foundation glides on way smoother with this primer on and helps it stay on longer. Completely impressed with the quality of the product and the affordability.
Most Helpful Critical Review I didn't hate this... I didn't hate this product, but didn't love it either. I used it in conjunction with the Maybelline Fitme Dewy and Smooth foundation and honestly couldn't tell a difference in my foundation application with or without the primer... so I'm not sure how much it actually did for my face. I use a moisturizer every morning whether I use a primer or not, and feel like the moisturizer and foundation provided plenty of moisture on their own. I also was not crazy about the consistency of this primer... I prefer primer to have more of a silicone texture that kind of disappears into the skin and fills fine lines more. This is definitely a dupe for the smash box primer. It gives my skin a blurring effect. 10/10 recommend
Do not see any difference 1

Used this to help with large pores. Don't see any difference on any part of my face. Foundation loojs the same with and without this primer. Disappointing
No color correction 2

This primer has a nice feel, but from tube onto my finger it was barely green, almost just a porcelain. On my face, it spread nicely, but had zero green pigment to offset redness. I returned it. I'm sticking with my NYX wand tube of green concealer/correcter.
Not a fan 2
Chelsea from Ohio
Not a heavy primer which I enjoy and it feels great on my face. However I bought this to blur out my acne and it does not decrease the redness at all. I would buy a different green primer next time.

My fav. My go to, it does my skin some good.
Terrible 1
Vane from Coachella
I live in a hot area so I thought the SPF would be a plus but this primer made me greasy. I have oily skin to begin with and knew I would get some shine but I have never gotten as bad as I did with this product. It did not color correct whatsoever. It did not make my make up last any longer or look any better. My makeup splotched up and my face looked greasy by the end of the day. Avoid.
Not so great 2

I didn't have good luck with this product. I don't feel like it does anything for color correction. It seemed to never dry on my face and made my make-up look splotchy. I waited several minutes between applying the primer and then my make-up and it still made my make-up slide off my face. My daughter experienced the same issue with this primer.
Water Soluble 5

I like that this is water soluble. Other primers with a lot of silicone make me breakout. I use just a little of this and it helps my makeup (mostly powder foundations) go on smoother.
Not for Oily Skin 3

I loved the feel of this after the application. However, after wearing it for 5 hours, I was more shiny than I normally am.

Good primer with SPF! 5
Megan H from Michigan
This primer worked pretty well for my skin type. The primer provides SPF 30 and creates a smooth canvas for makeup. Usually products containing sunscreen make me very oily, but this product doesn't do that! The primer does a great job at keeping the makeup in place. I got oily around the 8 hour mark, however the makeup was still completely intact even after I blotted. At the end of the day, the make up did not separate or crack at all. If your looking for a product that provides SPF without breaking your makeup apart, this is it. If you have normal to oily skin, you do not need to apply moisturizer with this product.
Not great.. 2

I would not recommend this primer. As a regular primer, it's decent, it makes my face soft but that's about it. As far as "redness control" this does nothing for my redness, like at all.
It's alright 3
Wicked.Gemini from San Bernardino
Sometimes I feel like this really helps hide my pores and other time it just makes my foundation look cakey and my pores seem bigger and it just doesn't look good! I'll use it if I'm trying out new makeup looks but probably won't use it to actually wear out tbh.
Surprised! 5

I have been so desperate to find a primer and I finally did! This applies so smooth and honestly my pores looked so much smaller! Really blurred them! Obsessed!
IMPRESSIVE! 5

Silky application. A little goes a long way. Reduces appearance of pores and makeup lasts all day. Love it!
My new go to 5

I had for years used SmashBox Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Oil-Free Primer. The the tube got smaller and the price went up. I also had several that were constantly separating on me. So when I saw that Maybelline had almost a dupe to this, I had to try it. Spot on to Smashbox's primer, only difference... you pay about $30 less. Have been using this for about a year now and I will not go back to the other. I have done side by side tests, i.e. worn SB on half my face and Maybelline on the other. Identical.

Nice Affordable Primer 3

I like the feel of this primer on my skin. I have only used it a few times, and feel this product does better than some other primers I have tried in the past.
A staple for me 5
Caitlin from Alabama
I have been using this product for three years now and it's the only primer I use. I have rosacea which causes me to have a pretty red face most of the time, and I'll put this on even when I choose not to wear a full face of makeup if I know I'll be out and hot or exercising because it does it's job so amazingly well. Works great as a primer itself too, makes my foundation lay so well. I've used it under both the Fit Me foundation and a higher end foundation—Clinique redness solutions, which it pairs great with. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me or burn like others have said. It feels nice when applying. Literally my only complaint is that I wish there was more in the bottle or the product size would be increased. If I wore makeup daily I'd have to repurchase it semi often, I'm about to be on my third bottle of it though because I don't wear makeup too too often. I love this stuff.

Not for Sensitive Skin 3
Tiffany from Texas
Within 5 minutes of application, my face started itching, and my skin burned for a couple of minutes after removing the product. I've got a few pimples already, and it's only been 5 hours since I put it on.
a big no for oily skin, but yes to normal to dry 4
Pao from Puerto Rico
don't use it if you have very oily skin, my friend used it and said that it nade ger face more oily, but for me that i have more of a normal to dry skin, its perfect
DO NOT BUY!! This BURNED my face! 1
Jennifer from Brentwood TN
I had only had it on my face for 30 seconds when it started burning very badly and I had to take it off. Nothing like this has ever happened with the other primers from Maybelline. My face feels like I got sunburned and is noticeably red and bothered. Definitely don't put it on your eyelids or cheeks. This is a terrible product because it's for dry skin so those using it already have sensitive skin and now it's burning it. Buy something else.
