Most Helpful Positive Review Nice for an eyeliner pencil I liked, but did not love this product. I liked the hexagonal grip - it made it feel like you were holding a #2 pencil back in school. I liked that the tip had a smaller diameter than most, but I didn't love that the tip couldn't be made to be super pointy, like with an eyeliner pencil that you can shave. I tried making the tip a little higher for great precision, but the piece broke off. It didn't really seem like a "gel" formula exactly. It reminded me of more of a waxy formula because if you pushed too gently, like I do with my sensitive eyes, it was kind of spotty and light without great precision. But if you do push a little harder, it comes out smooth and jet black (see hand tester picture). If you made a mistake and wiped it off with a tissue immediately, it came mostly off. But it was very waterproof. I tested just washing with water at one point, and there was still some left after 3 days (yay covid for people not seeing my leftover makeup, lol).
Overall, it was a good product but I prefer liquid eyeliner because I can apply it so gently without tugging on my eyes or pushing too hard.
Pro tip: if you mess up, try using some aloe vera gel on a Q-tip. It cleans it up perfectly, and doesn't leave the greasiness that makeup remover or coconut oil leave.
Most Helpful Critical Review Ok for a precision liner I received the Hyper Easy No-Slip Eyeliner pencil in the shade 001 Black. It has a small smooth gel micro-tip for a precise line, 15mm to be exact. I really love how thin it is and the color is very pigmented but the liner is not very durable so I had to apply it very carefully, gentle and in small strokes. Also when I took the it's pink cap off to use, the liner almost fell out of the outer casing and it was moving all around. Speaking of the casing, it is a No-Slip Grip pencil because the outer casing is Hexagonal, I prefer a Round outer case because the Hexagon ones are uncomfortable for me to hold. This eyeliner pencil is long lasting and does wear good but to be honest, I would rather use a liquid eyeliner instead.

I purchased this eyeliner 2 weeks ago while on vacation. I purposely purchased this product because it indicated a smooth tip and an even glide. The tip chipped off twice the first time I used it and did not go on well. I've always trusted Maybelline products, but unfortunately this one missed the mark.

The liner was dry and just crumbled when I tried to use it. I went back and exchanged it for another thinking it was defective. The next one did the same thing. Maybe it was a bad batch all togther? Not sure but not happy!

One of the worst eyeliners I have used. This does not glide on and it very hard to get a solid line without going over multiple times. I would not recommend.

I have been using another brand of eyeliner for many years. I can't find it anymore so I searched, bought one & didn't like it. I was at Ulta because I knew they have many brands. I saw this one, tried it and it is now my favorite!

It's smudge proof but you have to press so hard to get any color payoff. It's really dry and I regret buying it, I can't use it on the top of my eyelids

The tip kept breaking off like a mechanical pencil and it took multiple strokes to actually get some coverage. Only plus was that the applicator did a decent job outlining the shape of my cat eye. Will not buy again.

I simply cannot believe any of the positive reviews. This eyeliner is SO DRY. It breaks very easily and if you can even get any to apply the color payoff is blah. There are tons of affordable eyeliners out there. This one is a pass.

I love a good black eyeliner - and this was a nice deep true black. This wears all day, and stays put without budging. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a little dry going on, I needed to warm it up a bit to get the color to slide on smoothly.

I use it on my upper eyelids and wateine. It tends to smear on my eyelid without primer but stays put on the waterline.

The name of the eye liner says nothing about it being a very fine thickness. And makes hard to apply to top of eyelid. Is why I give it 3 stars. It does seem to be smuge proof.

This is the worst eyeliner I've ever used. I cannot stress enough how TINY it is in diameter. Not only does that make it hurt to apply, but you have to keep going back and forth to get any color to transfer. It also only lasted me about a month (again bc it's SO thin).

But this eyeliner is foolproof! I haven't really touched makeup in 15 years but it sure has come a long way in ease of application and wearability. I forgot I had it on, rubbed my eyes and it stayed put. Granted, it also stayed put when I wanted to wash it off, but I suppose that's my fault for not having the proper cleanser and technique. I love not having to deal with a sharpener or the end getting damaged. Just twist and shazam!

This is a great addition to my makeup bag. It is easy to grip and line with precision. A couple of my relatives even complimented my eyeliner. It may smear, but it's still a good product.
