Most Helpful Positive Review Provides Excellent Exfoliation and Scent Baxter's Exfoliating Body Bar provides the ultimate skin exfoliation experience and a masculine, natural scent, without causing any irritation. It is perfect for all skin types and the cedarwood and oakmoss essence is superb in relation to any other exfoliating body bar I have used to date. It contains all-natural paraben-free ingredients and truly nourishes your skin to leave your skin feeling smooth, clean, and refreshed. This cleanser can even be used to wash your face as well, when combined with Baxter's oil-free moisturizer. This combination is now my go-to skin regimen.

Most Helpful Critical Review Works great, unpleasant fragrance This was my first exfoliating body bar. I usually use a regular exfoliator on my body where I feel that I need to. I do think the bar does a good job and has an aggressive texture to rid of dead skin, but I am not a fan of the scent. Strangely, prior to usage, I liked the smell it was leaving in my bathroom, but after using it I smell like I am using a bar of cheap drug store soap. I really wish the scent smelled more masculine and had a designer-like resemblance. I will continue to use the bar if I am showering after a workout and not going anywhere after so I don't have to worry about the fragrance. I received this product complimentary for testing purposes.

Much like everyone else's recent reviews, this is very sad. I got this soap from a Birchbox subscription years ago and couldn't believe how well I smelt. Usually you dont smell yourself as you are walking around but I was hit with a beautiful woodsy scent hours after my shower and my coworkers noticed too. More recently, the bars just dont leave the same smell. Actually, they dont leave any smell! The bars seem to disappear at almost twice the rate as the original bars did too. They are still one of the best exfoliating bars out there but until they go back to the original formula, I will not be buying any other products....

But sadly, as others have mentioned, the recipe has changed and doesn't quite live up to the original formula (in both scent and longevity of smell). I understand the reasonings behind having to change up a formula, but it's just unfortunate because I don't believe I can continue being a costumer of this soap.

About 3 years ago I discovered the best smelling soap bar of all time. It was called Oakmoss and Cedarwood by Baxter of Cali. I became content knowing I will be buying this product for the rest of my life. 10/10 scent and ingredient quality. I recently finished my 4th bar, and opened a new one to discover a monster in the package. A new product. Looks the same, but that's all. It's definitely not Cedarwood and Oakmoss anymore. What even is that? A hint of a poor quality Sandlewood? And how could Baxter sell it under the same name and packaging? Not only am I heartbroken that my favorite soap has been discontinued, but I was duped into buying a product I have no interest in, one which is masquerading under the my favorite product's identity. And once arriving here, I see I am not the only one writing a review of the hoax. Baxter, please bring the product we love back. And give us a replacement bar for the money we're duped out of.

The best combo of smell and full body exfoliation I've found, but for the price I wish the scent lasted longer and the bar was more moisturizing. Dries out my skin a bit.

I also used to love this soap. I agree with the other reviewers, something has changed with the formula. Please, please go back to the original formula. I used to recommend this product, now I do not.

The scent is barely there, the lather feels not as rich as it used to. The travel size version is perfect/the old recipe. Purchased the variety pack and additional exfoliating bar and both are not as good as the travel bar—which I had to order twice bc only the box arrived the first time.

yes i gasped at the price and had a moment at the store, but i used it and was shocked. i used it like a normal bar of soap and i was drowning in suds. i literally was a blob of foam. you hardly need to use any since it lathers so well, smells amazing and feels soft. lasts forever since u don't need much ! ***i have exczema and this hasn't made it more inflamed or dry in the least***
