How To Use

This stuff is amazing for healing and protecting the skin!This is the lotion/face cream to get if you're stuck between choosing a barrier-repairing, skin smoothing, and noncomedogenic moisturizer to add to your daily routine! I'm someone who gets chemical peels. Depending on how my skin fares, I cycle between glycolic, jessners, TCA, and salicylic peels, and I get them every two weeks. Before Even Tone my skin would break out horribly when the actual peeling began a few days after each peel due to a combo of blocked pores, a compromised moisture barrier following the peel, and my overactive irritated skin; all those effects made my progress plateau. I tried all types of lotions, including prescription face creams, to mitigate the breakouts but nothing worked. Since the first 10 days of using Even Tone my skin stays smooth, soft, supple, and breakout free! I'm finally noticing flattening of my acne scars again, and my dark spots are fading. I use it every morning and every night, and I can't believe how its changed my face, chest, and upper back! No more new acne flare ups. No new dark spots. I haven't had rosacea flare ups either! Now the reason for 4 stars instead of 5: this product is thick and makes you hot! It's very comfortable on and doesn't feel like it sits on your face like other good thick moisturizers tend to; however, it makes me sweat like crazy under my mask as well as when I'm maskless in the sun or in a building with the heat on. It's a shame that despite this being a miracle product, I couldn't imagine wearing this for day use during the warmer parts of the Spring or at all in the Summer. This will still be excellent as a night cream, but my results are from the Winter time and seem largely due to my skin liking me to use the same lotion for AM and PM use. We'll have to see though, and this will be a definite repurchase regardless because it's the only lotion my skin can tolerate after peels. If I have to carry around a handheld fan with me everywhere I go in order to keep using this product when it gets hot outside then I will- that's how great it's worked for me!Even Tone Repair Ceramide CreamI attempted to use my free sample from Urban Skin Rx for 2 weeks and could not continue using it beyond 3 days. It BURNED my skin badly. My face even continued to be irritated even after I stopped using it. I paired it with my moisturizer hoping that would help and it didn't. This is a very strong product and makes me think of a chemical peel (which I have never had on my face). I was excited to try it, as it is marketed to people with more melanated skin and ended being very disappointed and nervous about the after effects. Luckily the burning stopped after a few days.

the texture is similar to the cerave pm moisturizer which i wasn't originally a fan of but it grew on me. this doesnt really help with dark spots as advertised but it is great for barrier repair. its easy to blend in and a little goes a long way. i was looking for something similar but cheaper than the dr jart ceramidin moisturizer and i think i found it! i still love dr jarts but this is great considering its half the price. sometimes it does give me slight irritation but i can live with it and it goes away pretty quickly. i will definitely rebuy

A staple!!

I love this moisturizer! I would've given it 5 stars if it came in larger sizes. But it's a great moisturizer and paired with a good serum, it makes my skin glow! This is a staple in my skincare routine.

Amazing nighttime moisturizer when using additives

I needed a nighttime moisturizer for the nights I use additives for skin cycling (acid exfoliant and retinol). It's hard to find something that has the right ingredients that aren't too heavy/occlusive, which will cause the treatments to be too intense, or something that had enough moisture. But this is it!! Feels amazing on the skin and has a ton of skin-hydrating ingredients like ceramides and squalene that are good for when you're using additives underneath. I didn't love using this under makeup though, so I'll stick to using at night. But otherwise, I am SOO happy to have found this and I'm even happier at the price point given the quality ingredients!

Repaired my moisture barrier

This is not a review from a free sample (most reviews I saw were). I purchased just based on the ingredients and it did not disappoint. I love using acids and constantly fight with a damaged moisture barrier so I can only exfoliate once a month otherwise I deal with stinging and redness from over-exfoliation and a damaged moisture barrier. This moisturizer made such a huge difference for my face and my routine. Since using it I can exfoliate once a week and use my retinol nightly and I haven't had any stinging or any signs of a damaged barrier. I have dry sensitive skin and this is like a big drink of water 💧 for my skin. It goes on smooth and hasn't peeled up with any of my other products. It has made my skin so soft and hydrated. I will continue to purchase this moisturizer and will likely try other products by Urban Skin RX. I love it.

My skin barrier was ruined from using a cleanser that dried out my skin. My skin went from combination/oily to completely dry. This has been working beautifully! Not only does my skin feel so smooth and balanced, it makes me GLLOOOWW! I pair this with the Even Tone gel cleanser and the Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF 30 moisturizer in the daytime, and then replace the spf with the cerave healing ointment at night. My skin is at its smoothest and most natural glow it's ever been!!!!
