Most Helpful Positive Review Very easy product to use Loved using this product, it gave me a salon worthy manicure in the comfort of my own home! Only downfall is the actual size of the light
Most Helpful Critical Review Works pretty well- with a few adjustments I just used this set to do my fingers and toes, along with a RCB gel color I bought separately. I had to do 2 cycles of the lamp after every coat to get it to cure properly. Also, I had to do my thumb separately from the rest of my fingers. On the first try, the color wiped off on the side of my pinky and the side of my thumb because they weren't all the way under the bulbs when I had all 5 fingers in at once. So, this quadrupled the time it took. That's not great, but I guess the value is still pretty good. It comes with $30 worth of prep, base, and top coat, so even though the lamp itself is super cheap, it works out ok.

Love it! I waited to buy this till it was on sale, and I'm so glad I did! It works really well as long as you follow this instructions to a T. Don't skip steps, apply THIN coats.
No charging cord included?? 2
shoptiludrop from Earth
I ordered this as a Christmas gift for someone and honestly for the price, save your money! It didn't come with a charging cord and I reread the description to check if it stated that anywhere and it didn't. The color options are meh, but you can always buy new shades. Not even sure if she will be able to use this since it doesn't turn on without the cord. Sally Hansen starter kit is worth recommending though!
Great product 5
Megan from Erie, CO
This product is fabulous for the price. The light only works with 4 fingers so you have to do the thumb separately. Read the directions and follow them thoroughly. Strongly recommend!
Amazing product for the money 5

My daughter and I used this on New Year's Eve and it looked like we went to a salon. I was shocked at how well our nails turned out. We will be saving a lot of money no longer needing to go to a salon.
Practice Makes Perfect 5
Ash from CA
I bought this after I read the bad reviews and was nervous! But I have used it two times so far and it works great! I do more than one curing for some steps just to be safe. I am not used to doing my own gel nails, so I just have to practice being cleaner. I am only using their brand of nail polish with this kit, so I guess if you use a different brand with it, it may not work as good.
Durable +Good Starter Kit 5

I started with this kit years ago and my little lamp just died. When I tell you this is a great lamp, worth every penny. Only downside is I couldn't got all 5 fingers in at one time. But I've used it in hands and feet.
For best results refer to the DIRECTIONS 5

Life enhancing and fun purchase. If you can read and follow directions you won't have a problem. Gel polish is so user friendly to use compared to other nail polish because it's easy to fix mistakes as long as you fix them before you cure them under the light. My first attempt was nothing short of a success. The polish WILL remain tacky until you are done applying layers of polish, remove the tacky texture with the clarifying liquid provided. In short this is one of the best purchases I've ever made and it's already paid for itself by not going to the salon.
I would not buy this full price. 2
MoreAvocados4Me from United States
The polish cured quickly, but I found that the quality of the products provided were poor. After using this brand's nail polishes and following their instructions, my "gel" polish managed to chip at the top of my nails or peel off completely, on two separate occassions.
Based on the quality of this product, I would not recommend buying it at full price.
This works great. You just have follow the steps correctly. 4

You must follow directions exactly step by step to get salon results.
Best at home manicure! 5
GR from Alabama
I have always went to the nail salon for gel polish but after I bought this I have saved so much money for the doing my nails at home! My only complaint is I wish there were more color options to choose from. The light is lower quality versus the ones used at a salon of course but for the price it is worth the little extra time! It does take practice but when you figure it out it's scruffy super easy! I have had mine for over a year now and it still works like new!
So much cheaper/safer than a salon!! 5

Can't afford to take myself and 2 daughters to a salon every time we want a manicure; this solved our problem!
Great! 4
Lynn from US
I bought due to I'm done going to the salon and wanted something I could throw on. The led light is small and it takes way long to dry. So I had to numerous 45 second intervals when I added color and top coat. You're not going to be running out the door in 30 minutes lol the trick is thin coats even if it take more layers, that helps a bunch! When I did open mine I noticed the prep bottle was completely empty, so that was great! Overall, I was impressed and will be buying more colors.
Don't forget the light! 4

This product helps cure your gel polish within a minute.
Good Product 4
Mglanville from Toledo Ohio
I purchased this to get away from having to go to the nail salon. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to pull it off however, I was pleasantly surprised today that I did my first gel manicure and it actually looks pretty good. Color is solid, topcoat is shiny, I just need to work on a little neatness. Patience is a virtue. Follow the directions exactly.I definitely recommend this product.
Not a bad kit 4
Shay from Clarion, PA
The light feels cheap and plastic-y and is low wattage but it works alright. Just to be safe I cure more than once. The nail polish of this brand could be a little better too. Overall though, it's not a bad starter kit. TIP: 1) make sure to use thin coats of whatever you're applying. You can always layer up, much better than having to restart because you used to much polish and it won't cure all the way through. 2) READ THE DIRECTIONS...it seems like some people aren't wiping their nails after completing curing. They don't "dry". They remain tacky unless you wipe them off, even if you fully cure them.
Works great, long lasting! 5
Sarah from Illinois
Worked very well. Following the instructions is important, after top coat wipe nails with the purify to remove the tackiness. I know this does not seem right when your nail is wet/tacky, but it works! Trust the instructions! I used a Red Carpet gel color as well and my manicure lasted a solid 12 days. The only peeling I had was my own fault, from getting paint on the cuticle so as my nail grew, the paint lifted. I also am not kind to my manicure, hand washing dishes every day and such, so 12 days is great!
Don't waist your money 1

Led light sucks. I had to do it about 6 times to get them really dry and the nail polish are very bad had to put literally 7 coats to get the actual color.
SAVES TIME AND MONEY 5
Angie from Rancho Cucamonga
After about 5 times I finally got the hang of it. My salon is about 30min away from my house. This kit is perfect when I want my nails done but don't have time to drive to the salon. Not to mention it also saves a little money. I like to use those nail polish strips and then use the Red Carpet clear gel on top.
I would not buy this again. 2
Selena from NM
I was excited to use but took me and my sister forever with the light!! Would not recommend.
Great starter kit 5
Mvp3020 from Austin, Tx
Got this as a birthday gift from my husband. The gel nail polish definitely takes practice. Great started kit and has all of the essentials you need.
Light Doesn't work 2
Paddison from Oregon
I went through 5 or 6 cycles of the light trying to cure my nails and they were still wet and sticky. Made sure to use nail polish that specifically mentioned this light too.
I wouldn't purchase this again 1
Jim the Runner from Bakersfield, CA
The light feels very low quality. I was mid paining my nails (first use) and then the light just wouldn't turn on again. The nail polish seems okay but very sticky. I would go with a different light/polish if you're looking into this one.
Love it but it takes practice! 5
Tiffyko from Columbus, Ohio
Purchased this because I didn't want to pay to go to nail salon anymore. My first try turned out decent, I would say make sure you use thin coats and I would also suggest curing the pinkie and thumbnail more. I noticed those nails didn't turn out.. but other than that I would say this is a great set!
Takes practice but worth it 5
April from Michigan
I read all the reviews before buying and was hesitant. I will say, my first try came out terrible. My second was better but still not good. By my third, I got nearly perfect salon looking nails. It takes PRACTICE and it takes TIME. I cured twice between each step as opposed to the suggested once. It was a game changer. Before the final step(brilliance coat), I cured it a third time. My nails have not chipped or peeled. Make sure you get each coat to the edges of the nail, it makes a big difference. I'd definitely recommend this if you're willing to take the time to learn the curve and have patience!
