Most Helpful Positive Review Long Time Friend I have been using Eight Hour Cream since my 20's (now 66). I bought my first jar when it was in a giant, beautiful, black and gold jar!
I loved diving into that jar an using the cream on my face, hands and lips to keep them smooth. My husband even got used to the "scent" and loved it.
Bring back the big black and gold jar. It was as special as the cream.
Love this stuff.

Works great on extreme dry skin. I do not recommend the fragrance free version since it has a bad smell.
The best! 5

This is the best hand care product on the market! A miracle for severely chapped hands.
Younger looking hands 5
Mary Pat from Oviedo Fla
I use this on my hands and chest. I'm 80 years old and these two places are a problem. I notice a difference in both places but particularly my hands. The skin looks and feels softer not dried and wrinkled.

Always a Necessity for all weather and lips. Lasts forever!
Not just nostalgia... PERFECTION! 5

As a kid growing up in the 60s, my mum and aunties called this product "Magic Creme". Any cuts, scrapes, whatever that we incurred in our adventures were slathered with mystery balm (that came in a jar at the time). I rediscovered it as an adult and just SMELLING it brought back waves of happy memories... and it's still MAGIC! I have a tube in my purse, one at the office and one at home. It's the ONLY thing that will repair my dry lips and cracked cuticles, and I put a thin layer around my lids overnight. I never go without.
8 hour skin cream 5

This was recommended from a book I was reading about mountaineers who use this for rough hands. It is a readily absorbing heavy cream/gel. It is great for hands and face in winter.
Love this skin protectant! 5

I love this cream skin protectant! It goes on easily and I love the way it moisturizers my face.
Disappointed 2
AndreaFS from Pholadel
I was very much looking forward to trying this, however it seems like Vaseline in a prettier tube. The scent is off putting and I am overall disappointed.
Sold on this! It is not just an average cream 5

I bought this cream simply because I started using Elizabeth Arden's cerimide capsules and was amazed with the results. With my arms showing aging, I thought why not buy one of EA creams and use it on my body. So, for a few years now. I've had tiny rough bumps on the back tops of my arms. Bothered me, because, I've always had soft nice skin.
So, I started using this cream on my arms and legs...just as a moisturizer and it seemed okay... until after two weeks I noticed those bumps had disappeared after all my attempts to get rid of them. Also. a dry patch on my forearm is all but gone.. it feels like a bit of eczema . The only tiny complaint? I don't like the fragrance of the cream.. but who cares when it works.
Keeps me moisturized. 5

I like that my face holds onto the moisture using this.
Love this Product 5

I love using this product in the morning as a base before makeup. It replenishes the moisture lost during the night. My daughter-in-law uses this on her dry elbows and my husband on his dry, cracking feet.
Skin Cancer Surgery 5
MES62 from The Adirondacks
For years I have tried to find a product that would mositurize the drying side effects of the skin cancer surguries I have had. I am very pleased. Too bad I had to wait until I was 62 to find it!
this is not a cream 1
Capitola from Raleigh, NC
I feel like i ordered the wrong thing. It doesn't seem like a cream and is rather rough
The smell is so bad! 2
Boymom from Michigan
I wanted to love this so much after spending that kind of money, BUT...the smell is just awful..kinda like something my Grandmother would like. I ignored other reviews about the strong scent, hoping I wouldn't mind....bad idea! The lip balm jar is the same scent, so basically they are both unusable to me. The cream is like smelly vaseline, didn't find it worked any different.
Super hydrating! 5

Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant 4

This product has a medicinal smell which I'm not crazy about. I would not be inclined to use it on my face. I have used it on some cuts and burns on my body and it does seem to speed up the healing process.
My skin felt hydrated 5
MrsSadowski from Illinois
I use the 8 Hour at bedtime on my hands, elbows and forehead. It relaxes me and my hands and elbows look better after 1 week. My forehead lines don't look so deep either.
LOVE THIS PRODUCT. 5

LOVE THIS SO MUCH. HAD SEVER DRY SKIN ON EYELIDS AND UNDERNEATH EYE AREA DUE TO ALLERGIES. NOTHING, I MEAN OTHING WORKED TO HELP THIS AREA UNTIL MY 8 HOUR CREAM ARRIVED. IT HAS BEEN A MIRACLE FOR THIS. WILL ALWAYS KEEP A SUPPLY IN MY HOUSE, MY CAR AND MY BEACH BAG.

This is the first time using this product. Unfortunately, the smell is off putting. I definitely won't use it on my face. I have only been using it for a week so it's too soon to tell if it works.

Petrolium jelly in a tube 2
AuNatural from Nebraska
I wish I had read the information about this product better before purchasing it. It's basically petrolium jelly in a tube. I hesitate to use it as a "moisturizer" on my face as it's greasy and I can't imagine what I would look like in the morning. I'll use it on other parts of my body - elbows, cuticles, rough and dry patches, but I won't be using it as it was hyped up to be.
Too thick, difficult to spread when applying 2
LynnC from North Carolina
The Eight Hour Cream is really a very thick ointment that is difficult to spread. I find it too difficult to apply so rarely use it. Plus I do not care for the odor. I cannot recommend.
Grate for really dry skin 4
Vicster from Albuquerque, NM
It's greasy but my skin is super dry. Best to use at night or wait a few hours to not look so greasy.
Like Vaseline 1
dixiechic60 from Atlanta, GA
I saw so many high reviews I thought I'd give this a try. I wish I had read the ingredients first.....56.8% petroleum. I applied directly after my face serum before work. Terrible think vaseline feel. I had to go wash my face again before I could apply my makeup. If you are looking for a "Cream" as this is called, this IS NOT A CREAM......It's a salve / ointment consistency......I WILL BE RETURNING!!!

I really like the moisture this provides, but it is a little on the greasy side!
