Most Helpful Positive Review Great coverage on my oily skin From the first few reviews, I got the impression what made this so awful for others might make it work for me, and that's panned out pretty well. I wasn't looking for anything hydrating or dewy-- in fact, *everything* looks "dewy" and slides off my face, even Estee Lauder Doublewear.
On me, the coverage is medium to full, and fairly natural, although I *have* to apply with my fingers, a few inches at a time, or it gets cakey, patchy, and streaky. (There was much trial and error.) It doesn't oxidize much; I usually wear something along the lines of porcelain and neutral, and fair-light neutral has been a pretty good match. I experimented a lot with primers and setting powders; my smoothing, siliconey primers worked better than tacky, hydrating ones, whereas most powders worked fine. My ELF BeautyShield might have been the best setting powder. Blending a drop of Drunk Elephant's D-Bronzi into the foundation helped the appearance. Other makeup sat on top just fine, and the longevity was good (for me, six hours is good). It lasts as long as my Estee Lauder. When it starts separating and sliding around toward evening, I can tap it down with a blending sponge, but *cannot* add product-- it looks terrible.
Overall, I'm happy with it, although it's not at all what I would have expected, based on the product description.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not for textured skin Let's cut to the chase, this foundation is not for those who have textured skin due to acne or dry skin. My skin is kinda wonky so some areas are super clean and others have a lot of texture and breakouts. On the areas with no breakouts or texture, the foundation actually looks pretty nice after applying setting powder BUT the areas with acne & texture...let's just say it looks like any makeup wearer's worst nightmare. It's patchy, looks cakey, and sticks to the breakups, ultimately making my skin looks worse. I originally tried using a beauty blender like I always use with all my other foundations and it just looks absolutely horrible. Like to the point where I reconsidered washing my face and starting all over again with a different foundation I trust. I did a second layer with a brush to see if it would fix or make a difference and it made it noticeably A LOT better. In fact it would look pretty nice if my skin was smooth all over. It dries really quick so this is one of those foundations where you have to do it in sections on your face instead of putting all the foundation on at once and then going to work. Hopefully it holds up throughout the day. If you have smooth skin I'd say give this a try but if you have acne, are acne prone, or have texture skin...maybe just stay away from this one.

Decided to give this a try on a whim. I was seriously disappointed. No matter what I did it would not lay/blend on my face. I tried several times with different primers, with a beauty blender and foundation brush. No matter what I did it would separate and refuse to blend. It's blotchy, cakey and patchy, everything you don't want in a foundation. Needless to say I returned it. Would not recommend.
my favorite foundation! 5
anna from MI
i'm a huge fan of this product! it's very blendable and though it doesn't have the most coverage, i think that's kind of nice in a sense because it gives you a more natural look. it is buildable if you want more coverage, but it can get a bit cakey. a good primer and a dewy setting spray can help fix that though. i also have pretty dry skin, so that could be a part of the problem.
Not what I expected 3
Natasha from Tampa
I was looking for a medium coverage foundation, was recommended this one, but it was not good. I'm returning it.
The color match was perfect, but the coverage was not there. This was barely medium coverage. Not sure if it was the new blender I used, but I'm not gonna risk another try.
Returning this immediately! 1

Bought this for the first time and it's awful! It does not spread correctly, it's cakey. I feel like I am putting on spackle! I thought it was just me, maybe it didn't mixed well with my moisturizer so I had my daughter try it. She hated it just as much as I did. Did the same thing for her and her skin in 30+ years younger than mine! Returning it immediately for a refund. P.S. it's not inexpensive either!
Wow, a foundation with a shade thats actually LIGHT ENOUGH f 4
Ash from Watkins, co
I am pale, like ghost pale. I have swatched many of the lightest shades of so many foundations only for them to be 3 or 4 shades too dark. This one comes in a color close to my actual skin, and its not bad coverage and cheap. It could be more dewy.
Covers pretty good 4

It matches my shade fairly close. But it dries too quickly before I get it smoothed out.
It takes more than one layer but looks natural and not pasty.
I like LOreal better for applying.

It reminds me the "pancake" makeup my great grandmother used. Thick, cakey, chalky and horrible color. I felt like I was ready to pantomime or be a clown. There is nothing natural about this product. I could not wash it off fast enough. No more Ulta foundation for me.
Mixed feelings 3

Goes on dry even after moisturizer. Hydration formula breaks through in the late afternoon. I use a setting spray, but foundation still looked cakey.
Unfortunately the color is too light! 3

It is hard to tell as I could not pick the right color for my skin. This is the second time I tried to pick the right color for myself as products change throughout time.... When I don' tneed help, people ask, when I need help no one asks:(
Didn't Blend/ Uneven Texture/ Cakey 1
SassyKT from Valparaiso, IN
A poorly formulated foundation. It will not blend under any circumstances and leaves my face looking cakey, blotchy, and patchy. Please do not waste your money. I can't believe this passed quality control at Ulta. I will be returning it.

Exactly What I Wanted 4

Fortunately, ULTA is only a few miles away from my home. Since they have exactly what I use it for, it just makes sense to stick with ULTA.
Not for me 1
SS from IL
It looked blotchy like white thick sunscreen. I felt like it wouldn't blend either.
It's okay, not for my skin type though. 3

Great foundation but not exactly for my skin type.
Terrible formula 1
Lindsay from New Jersey
This is the most poorly formulated foundation I have ever used. It will not blend under any circumstances and leaves my face looking cakey and patchy. I never return anything but I will be returning this. Please do not waste your money. I can't believe this passed quality control at Ulta.
Cakey and hard to blend 1

Used it once with a brush, beauty blender, and my own hands and it's cakey.
Didn't Blend/ Uneven Texture/ Cakey 2
Disappointed from Texas
I had high hopes for this foundation.. while the color was a perfect match, that's about the only good thing I can say about it. I tried applying it several different times with different types of primer, a brush and a beauty blender, but it just wouldn't blend right. It would look cakey in some areas, extremely textured in another, and then while trying to blend it would all together remove itself from some areas. I ended up tossing it.

I love this foundation 5
Valerie from Huntsville, AL
I am middle aged and I am struggling to find products for my drier skin. This product is great. It has a medium coverage that blends well. It does not cover everything but blends things out to make them look natural.
My skin has never looked so flawless 5
AllenaMae from Auburn
I was very pleasantly surprised with this foundation! I used it over top of the hydrating POREfessional primer from Benefit, and my skin looked so flawless. It blends well, looks natural on the skin, and doesn't feel heavy or cakey at all. I have pretty clear skin so I needed something with a nice light-medium coverage, and this foundation is perfect. I got so many compliments on how flawless my skin looked today, and one person said she couldn't even tell I had makeup on! This foundation is really great, I haven't noticed any of the problems that some reviews have with this foundation. I would highly recommend it if you need a nice, natural looking light-medium coverage foundation.
Doesn't blend 1
Lauren from Colorado
This formula does not blend in very well and makes your skin look patchy and cakey. The color was a good match however.

Horrible 1
Emma14 from Louisiana
I bought this because I was out of my usual foundation that I have to order online. This was so bad I went to a pharmacy later to buy something else to last me the next couple days. This was extremely cakey. The foundation didn't stay on well either. I wouldn't buy this again.
