A Staple in my Beauty Regime I was standing in line waiting to pay for my merchandise the first time I ever set foot in an Ulta store, and these were hanging by where I was standing in line. I thought they looked really useful, especially since I had just bought a whole lot of new cosmetics, plus they were priced very fairly, so I grabbed them.
The narrow tipped end of these is perfect for wiping up nail polish mistakes and for wiping away mascara or eyeliner mistakes.
The wider end of these is good for applying eyeshadow or concealer. They are not the best for applying eyeshadow just because they aren't the smoothest, but when you are traveling or do not have an applicator that came with your eyeshadow they work good enough.
I think these are very useful.
Not great for eyeshadows I bought these while traveling because I'd forgotten my makeup brushes at home, but I really did not like them for applying eye makeup. They're too stiff and harsh to be used dry, but when used wet they lose their shape easily and waste a lot of product.
What they ARE good for is cleaning up mistakes in eyeliner, mascara, and nail polish application. Both ends work for this; just get it wet/ dip it in nail polish remover and gently swipe the unwanted product away.

I love these for cleaning up mascara my eye makeup remover misses. However, the price just jumped 50 cents! Inflation or not, that's just too much in one go.

I use these to clean up under the eye area after liner and mascara. The pointed tip is great to use damp and the larger area to dry and wipe off after. They are great applicators on lips and eyes and I like that they do not shed the cotton onto your eye. I will definitely reorder these.

These are perfect for cleaning up mascara messes and other mess up around the eyes. A number of years ago I changed my makeup routine and began applying my mascara before my foundation. As soon as I'm done I put a drop of micellar water on the tips of these and then perfectly clean up any tiny messes with mascara. The pointy end allows you to be able to get under even my bottom lashes easily. They are great for the eyebrow clean up too. When I gather my makeup together initially one of these dampened is always with everything else. Don't ever discontinue this product I beg you. One bag has lasted my 2 years or more!

So, we all have heard there is a possibility of a recession. Yet, this does not justify a 50 cent price jump. There is no way these cost this much to manufacture. It then prompts one to ask "how much money does ULTA really need to make" on this humble product? Yes, I like it but, regular rounded cotton tips can do just about everything I need.
