Most Helpful Positive Review Amazing! My family and I have been using this stuff forever. We have never been without it. And while it is a mask, I wouldn't recommend using it that way. As it will probably be too drying. Anyway, my family and I use this as an acne spot treatment. We just dab some on at night, and within 2 days they are usually gone. It works for regular acne, and boils. My sister was getting hormonal boils and couldn't get them to go away. After using this stuff, her boils are gone in no time. It's Amazing. It clears your blemishes without over drying the surrounding skin. Will continue to repurchase.
Most Helpful Critical Review It smells so bad! I wanted to like this mask so much that i tried it for 2 weeks.... However the smell is so pungent and strong that even after you wash your face the harsh odor is stuck in your nostrils and on your skin.
I have combo/ oily skin with cystic acne and thought I would give it a try because I'm a huge fan of the moisturizer. Despite the odor It literally dried my face out to the point of flaking and I only used it 2 times a week (which is less than the suggested amount)
I don't recommend this product at all.
I literally can't get the smell out of my nose lol

Let me start by saying I've used sulfur products in the past. They smell bad but whatever, it rinses off and if the product works, it's worth it.
I bought this for my oily T-zone. I wake up in the morning with oil dripping off my face basically, that's how oily I get sometimes. I also get black heads on my nose. When you open this jar the smell hits you so hard my stomach did a flip. It doesn't smell like sulfur, it smells like rusty gasoline. I had to turn a fan on my face the whole time it was on my nose and forehead to keep the fumes away so I wouldn't puke. When I rinsed it off, that's where the sulfur came in. It left a super powdery, strange feeling residue and I had to rewash my face. That's probably the drying effect, but it felt so bad that I had to get rid of it. It also seemed to irritate my pores on my nose as well.
To me, this mask isn't worth suffering through the smell. I think it does help with oiliness but if your skin is sensitive you may want to pass.
UNBEARABLE SMELL, just HORRIBLE 1
Peezer from Seal Beach
I cannot believe how horrible this mask is. The fumes coming out of this mask is toxic. I have never used any mask as unbearable as this. Absolutely do not recommend. Negative 100 stars.
The. Smell. Is. So. Bad. 3

I'd love this so much more if the smell wasn't HORRID. If you can get over the smell, such a good product. But the smell is soooo strong
On My Third Jar! 5

I first tried this in a giftset I got for Christmas, and fell in love with it. I have very oily skin, particularly my nose and chin, and I was just using it on those areas, but once 2020 happened I started using it everywhere my mask touched, and it is a literal godsend, no mascne, no oiliness, just soft clean skin!!
a few notes:
-the smell is STRONG. I am one of those people who likes the smell of like, gas, and tires, so I really enjoy the smell tbh but I feel like 90% of people will be thrown by it. it fades a little as it dries but not much, and even after using toner the smell lingers for a little bit. just be mindful and don't use before a big date!
-ignore the wait time they give. the longer this bad boy sits the better! 30 minutes will handle oiliness and make your skin soft, but if you want really good results, leave it on for a few hours! I've fallen asleep with it on and woken up bump free! probably not the best practice for sensitive skin though.
-use an applicator! this stuff is so hard to get out from under your fingernails, it'll look like you were playing in cement or digging through ashes.
-its also pretty hard to wash off of your face, I always have to follow up with make up remover! this mask is not a quick morning routine kind of product, there's a process in using it but it's worth the time and hassle, I promise!
Love 5

This stuff works great. Smells like melted tires, but sulfur smells like egg farts usually so I'll gladly take this smell over that any day.

I couldn't get over the overwhelming smell of gasoline mixed with something illegal. smelt so bad I couldn't even use it.
Great for Acne 4
Summer from Arizona
I would always get small pimples across my face in clusters, and this mask has gotten rid of those almost completely. It helps a lot with removing texture, but be warned because it is very true to its name and is very drying. If you have dry skin or sensitive skin, I would not recommend this. I even have oily skin but always follow up this mask with a toner and lots of moisturizer.

Works like a dream 5

I wasn't expecting a lot from this product given the mixed reviews, and the fact that I have fair sensitive skin, so harsh products tend to dry out or irritate my skin. I was pleasantly surprised! Let me start by saying, as other reviewers have said, it smells terrible - like old moth balls and burning rubber - but it works. When I get a breakout (usually hormonal or from eating a good that doesn't agree with my skin) I dab this on, wait 20 min, rinse, and by the next morning redness and swelling are cut in half. This mask is SUPER drying (hence the name) so I'd recommend only spot treating areas where you have a breakout - I like to apply another clay mask to the rest of my skin. Also, a good moisturizer after the fact is a must! I also like to dab a little of the drying lotion on stubborn spots for some extra power. I've found that so long as it's just spot treating, and followed by a good moisturizer, I can use this mask a few days in a row. All in all I'd say it's a great product once you get past the smell.
Smells like the pit of despair but works like actual magic 5

DYING MASK
Smells horrendous, but it works! 5
Hien_nessy from MS
The smell is definitely off-putting, but it does it's job to help treat and soothe acne. It pulls on the skin as it's drying, but I would say I am satisfied with the results! I don't use it as a full face mask, only on my trouble patches.
Use sparingly on dry skin 4
Skibblezing from MN
First thing: yes, this product smells bad. It's one of the worst smelling masks I've ever used. Get over it because it WORKS. I've been having mask related acne for the last few months and sulfur has always worked well for my skin. I put this on and leave it for less than 10 minutes because I have extremely sensitive dry skin. I pretty much only use it as needed - a couple times a month. I always follow with a hydrating mask and a heavy lotion!
Love this 5
Alexis from Lexington, KY
This stuff smells EXTREMELY BAD but it's the only thing that has stopped my cystic acne on my jawline. It's very drying so I only dab it on the bumps or lightly smear it on problem areas. Would not recommend using this as an actual mask, just spot treat instead. My skin has significantly improved. Even with no bumps I use it twice a week to keep them away. I'd say this is worth the money and will last a long time because a little goes a long way!
This product is so bad I put it on 🍅 1

So badI put it on my Facebook once a week and at the third week my face was red
Wear this overnight! 5
Hay from Texas
I used this mask a couple of times as directed (25 minutes), but really didn't notice anything. One night I fell asleep with the mask on, and in the morning I noticed that my acne was nearly gone! So now, I wear the mask for several hours for best results.
Sucks out the acne 5
Lexington from 46619
Smells awful but its worth it! I put it on my problem Areas with acne on chin and black heads on nose. After it dried, the acne spots were visible under the mask because the gunk was sucked out! Plus my nose and fore head look pristine. Im hoping to make this apart of a weekly routine
QUALITY QUALITY. 5

If you can get through rubbing new tires all over your face, you can get through anything! YES GIRL. Especially oily skin. If you're sensitive to smells this mask isn't for you but all the one stars on this product are about the smell. The ACTUAL product, a face mask, is amazing. It does what it says it's going to do. Dry out the skin. It smoothed my skin more than a lot of other drying masks I've tried, I feel like I'm rubbing my hand over a perfect peach. My boyfriend and I both used this and are thrilled with the results.
Great for breakouts 5
Kari from Las Vegas
I am not a fan of the brand but I love this product! It really wasn't as drying as I anticipated. I have normal skin, but live in the desert so my skin can get quite dry. The smell is off putting but not unbearable. Sulfur is known for its weird smell, and it's not as bad as it could be.
I used an Aveeno face wash that broke me out terribly! Like worse than when I first hit puberty. And nothing was helping with the breakouts that the face wash caused, except for this. Sulfur is amazing for the skin, especially on breakouts, and I have been looking for a sulfur product to incorporate into my skincare routine and this was a product that had a price that I was willing to pay. Most sulfur products are very expensive. Very pleasantly surprised by this mask.

The smell is so horrible. Smells like burning plastic it's just so strong. I want to love but I can't strange the smell..
Not worth the price 1
Jalen from Jersey
I have really oily skin as well as sensitive bumps. But this mask did more drying out my skin then leaving it feel replenished. Also I have brown skin and it left this waxy/ashy layer on my skin that I literally wash and scrub off with my cleanser and toner. Definitely will never buy this again
I almost threw up 3
Liv from Waco
it has THE WORST smell ever it's like burnt plastic/tires. I had to rinse it off asap or I was gonna puke, and it's been 2-3 hrs since I washed it off and I can still smell it even after I put some perfume on.
