This is a nice powder, definitely worth a try. I was nervous to use it after reading other reviews that stated the powder became cakey when used, and made skin oily. I first used the sponge that came with the compact to apply the powder -- it does cake a little bit if you aren't careful about how much you're applying. It also depends on how much other product you have on your face to begin with. I found that using a powder brush for application solved the caking issue. You just have to use the right tools and be aware of how much powder you're applying, and you'll be fine. I also found that my skin became a bit more oily than normal with this product, although it really doesn't take that long to do a quick blot. The powder stays in place pretty well. Despite the above drawbacks, this powder evened out my skin tone the best out of any other powder I've used. I have suuuper light skin, and it covers all the veins, dark spots, redness etc that pokes out from behind my skin AND also keeps my skin looking natural (as opposed to one-dimensional like a flat, blank canvas). The light shade also is light enough for my skin but doesn't make me look sickly and is a nice neutral tone. I would agree this is a light to medium coverage powder -- I use it just over moisturizer and finish with a moisturizing finishing spray for a more natural look. It layers nicely though, but again, use the right tools with this powder when you do. Worth a try!
Wanted to love this product as I am a powder foundation gal. I am 53 and have been using powder as my foundation since 1989, mainly clinique but I like to venture out a bit sometimes to see what other products offer. Everytime I will say that I return to clinique for my tried and true, the best powder foundation that I believe is available. My skin has changed since I am older so a few of what they offer does not work as well for me as it once did, however, still hands down the best powders. Anyway,...back to this review. I do like Tarte shapetape which is an iconic product yet this powder foundation is nothing like that. No staying power at all, can barely even see any product on the skin when applied with a powder brush or even a powder puff or the blender makeup sponge. Nothing! Only thing I liked about this product is that Tarte did put .39 oz into the product which is a nice size, just that the product itself is terrible and does not show up or stay.

This is my hands down new fave product. I have a love hate with powders. I have oily skin and need to set with powder but it often gets too cakey. This powder is light enough to not cake and looks beautiful in the skin. of note, I normally wear a bb cream and spot conceal prior to using the powder.

I normally get the other powder foundation that Tarte has, but it was sold out. I'm happy I picked this one up because I think I like more. YAY

Usually I use a kabuki brush for powder, but I have been wanting something with my coverage during the summer so I use it with the foam underneath and it's amazing! Hides everything:)

Nothing really stands out to me about this product. On the face its really light, but is not very visible or builds. I was expecting more from a higher end powder and feel like I got drugstore quality. It does cover some redness but barely and brushes off throughout the day. I won't be repurchasing this.

Trying to replace the Amazonian clay full coverage airbrush foundation. Bought the same shade, light medium neutral. It is much lighter and has no coverage. I really hate when my favorites are discontinued!

I bought this pressed powder because I don't wear foundation on a daily basis and I just wanted something light that would cover my dark circles (really the only reason I put any kind of foundation) and this one is perfect! Not cakey and not too light, just perfect!

I really wanted to like this product because I loved Tarte's loose powder foundation. However, this product makes my skin oily and doesn't have the lasting power I'd like in my makeup. I end up wiping most of it off with a kleenex halfway through the work day because it makes my skin oily and blotchy. I do not recommend this and really wish they would suck it up and bring back the loose amazonian clay powder that people actually liked!

I've used tarte's liquid foundation for a while but never tried the powder till now. Pleasantly surprised but it's lightweight powder but still covers well for a matte finish.

Someone said it was hard to use, which perfectly describes this product. I feel I have no coverage for it and have to fight to even get it on a brush

This powder was not my favorite. Had pretty low coverage but did help control oil. I had hard time using this product my compact would get hard pan easily even with clean makeup brushes.

Sooo disappointing to have our beloved Airbrush discontinued! Tarte rep said this replaced it and I would like it just as well. Lies! PLEASE bring Airbrush back!!

The color is accurate but it does not spread easily. I bought because Tarte made a crazy decision to remove the loose Amazon clay powder and it does not come close to being as good as that.
