Most Helpful Positive Review life changing, not an exaggeration okay so this has changed up my hair game COMPLETELY! i have always had hair that gets extremely greasy after just one day of not washing. i've tried other dry shampoo which seems to help a bit, but i'm never left with the results i want. they all seem to do the bare minimum. then one day i got a free sample of this stuff, and let me tell you i'll never look back. this dry shampoo makes me wonder what every other cheaper dry shampoo is even doing. THIS is the only product i've tried so far that allows me to go 3 or 4 days without washing my hair. that is AMAZING for me, as someone who has always had to wash her hair every day to get that sleek soft look i'm going for. this actually keeps my hair sleek and soft!! i like to spray it on my roots, let it dry a bit, then work it in. at this point i am still left with a bit of residue in my hair, so i pull it up and then take a shower. afterwards, i take my towel and lightly wipe away whats left of the residue, and i am left with amazingly soft hair that looks freshly washed. i'm not sure if drybar has one that's formulated for dark hair, but if so i'm going to try that next! even with my dark brown hair though, with a little effort, this is the best dry shampoo i believe i'll ever use!
Most Helpful Critical Review Did ok, scent not too bad, made my hair grey. If you have light color or grey hair than this might work. I have darker hair and it made my hair look light grey. Like I had dumped a whole thing of baby powder on my head. I didn't even use much and wow, yeah not what I was going for. The scent isn't too bad on this one but it does not fade. Which I also don't like. I don't wear perfume so having the scent around me constantly just gave me a headache. So far I've tried two different ones from this brand and not happy with either. It's a no for me. Didn't do too much for oil build up either. Going back to my old favorite. It's more expensive but I see now it's worth it.
Reviewed by 101 customers Game changer 5
Kendra from Newport, RI
I have fine thin hair with oily roots and had been using one of the more affordable drug store brands of dry shampoo but I wasn't thrilled with it. This one is an absolute game changer for me. It's lightweight and doesn't weigh my hair down, it actually gives me more body, no grittiness either. It smells good and I was able to go 3.5 days before I washed it, and probably could have stretched it another day or even two. I'm usually very critical of products and have a hard time finding ones that I'm happy with…I'll absolutely be buying this again.

My go to 5
Misdebi from Los Angeles
This is a must have! I have long hair and don't want to wash everyday but it gets greasy quick. This extends my blowout and gives me an additional 2 days between washes. It smells sooo great. Of course I hate the white color.. but with just several massages and brushing a it's gone. No, I don't like the clear.. it doesn't seem to give me the same dryness or last as long. I have tried EVERY brand from drug store to salon and this is it for me
Worth the money 5
TeeRiv from Mokena, Illinois
This is the only brand of dry shampoo I would spend $26 on again. I was an avid user of the cheaper brands with little results. I actually use less of this with results that last for days.
Dry Shampoo 5
Cecy from Bakersfield, CA
This dry shampoo smells good, doesn't leave your hair greasy or flaky, I've went up to 4 days after initial wash.
Best Dry Shampoo EVER 5

I have not had any luck with other dry shampoo but I got a sample of it and was hooked for life. It works unlike any other and is absolutely worth the money!
I will be buying again! 5

This product is a lifesaver! Reviews aren't typically my thing but this product lasted me all day long, and the next day. It also smells great!
Love love love 5
Ashley from Yukon,Oklahoma
I love this product. I have very oily hair, where I have to wash it everyday. I recently got extensions and can't do that. I was told about this dry shampoo and it works better than any other dry shampoo I've had before. It smells good, it adds a little volume to my normally flat hair.
My holy grail dry shampoo 5
Lindsay from South Florida
I first received the mini as a birthday gift and gave it a go. I typically use the batiste brand but wow does it not compare! The drybar okie helped me trim my hair to washing my hair every 6-7 days instead of 3-4!!! I've been trying for so long to get it to a week and this helped immensely. The price is so worth it and it lasts me a fairly long time since a little goes a long way. The smell is also a giant plus!
Actually does something! Dark hair approved 5

I HATE dry shampoo. I hate the feeling so much I'd rather wash my hair more than use dry shampoo. Until I found this. First I love the scent but that isn't why I love it. It actually cleans my hair and soaks up the oil. I usually wash my hair every other day or every 2 days. With this I'm able to go every 4 days. I took a youtubers advice and use this right after I blow dry my hair as a preventative and it helps so much. It does have a white cast which blends out when you rub it in. I have natural red hair but it's more on the dark side. The white cast makes my hair a little lighter which I don't mind but it just looks freshly washed. I hate the feeling of dry shampoo but this one has a different feeling and isn't as gritty. I will continue to repurchase this because it is the best. For reference I have tried: redken, batiste, psst, Paul mitchell, amika, living proof regular one and the new one but the scent of the new one gave me a migraine and it didn't do anything.
One of the BEST 5
txreddirtgirl from Savannah, GA
I have fine 1a hair, but tons of it. Any of the Detox Dry Shampoos are the best I have ever used. Other brands usually make my hair feels almost gummy. Not this. My hair almost feels as good as fresh washed. Definitely my favorite splurge dry shampoo!!
Heavy 3
Coco from Chicago
although it gets the job done, its very easy to get heavy handed with it. it builds up on the scalp pretty fast too.
Switched from Batiste to Dry Bar 5
Taylor from Hartwell, Ga
I switched from Batiste when I noticed lots of flakes coming from my scalp. I picked up the travel size of this on a whim and was impressed. It absorbs oil well and I can go an extra day without washing. Does not make my head itch like batiste did!
Only dry shampoo I've liked so far 5
Alaina from South Carolina
I got this as a birthday sample. Ive only tried a couple of brands that I didn't think did anything. I have fine auburn hair and this stuff goes on a very bright beige color. I let it sit for a minute then brush out my roots with a boar bristle brush and then it's undetectable. Works great.
Lovedry bar 5
Yas from Michigan
I recently switched from being a long time, loyal Living Proof customer and was hesitant to try anything else but it wasn't "cleaning" my hair as well, so I went on a search. After trying drybar, I fell in LOVE. It actually absorbs the oil and I can extend an extra day between washes. So so glad I made the switch 🙏
Nice smell, that's about all! 2
Colomtndiver from Colorado
If your hair tends to be on the oily side, this product probably works well. My hair is more on the dry side but wanted something to take camping when showers are not available. I like the smell, it is not overpowering and has a fresh scent.
Info on the back if the can says it leaves a matte finish which I do NOT like on me, it makes my hair look dull and lifeless.
Much better price from maker of product.
the best i've ever used 5
Hales from Kansas City
I have super oily hair and have tried sooo many dry shampoos. Oribé, Ouai, IGK, Sol De Janeiro, Batiste, Dove, Not your mother's, etc. This is THE BEST!! I never thought dry shampoos really worked cuz i never had luck with them (my hair still looked greasy) but this dry shampoo leaves me going DAYS without having to wash. The color is very light so you have to really work it into dark hair but it's worth it
DEFECTIVE? 1
MauiAndi from Kansas City MO
I love Drybar products, including their dry shampoos. I ordered this one for summer for the scent. It's literally the worst dry shampoo I've ever used. It sprays out white powder - like I look like I have a white wig on. It's enough of an issue that I'm wondering if it's a bad batch? Just this formula? Either way it's unusable and I'll never risk buying it again.
Best Dry Shampoo 5
Meg4336 from Washington State
This is honestly the best dry shampoo I've used. I normally can barely get "second day" hair as mine gets greasy fast, but with this, I can easily get 3 days or even 4 if I had to push it. Only takes a small amount!
Best Dry Shampoo 5
Traceface from Fort Wayne Indiana
I have tried them all and haven't ever taken the time to do a review, but I have to with DRYBAR. This dry shampoo doesn't flake off and make it look like you have dandruff. Your hair smells amazing and bounces back to a day at the salon after you have your hair done.
Fave Dry Shampoo 5
Bri from New York
This is my favorite dry shampoo. I've tried Living Proof & I know everyone raves over it, but THIS IS BETTER. The smell is better, the texture is better, my hair actually feels clean after I use it. The best out there.
Effective but... 3
Nurdigirl from NJ
As many have noted, this goes on VERY white. I've had similar products go on white, but this sprat by comparison, has a denser coverage when you apply it so it was shockingly white. I have dyed red hair and I was able to rub it thru, but I'm going to say it leaves my hair a bit dull looking.
Since I use this for at home work days and that won't matter much for the camera, it's fine. This would be terrific if it came in different tones. The Coconut Colada scent is fantastic though!
I saw another person note that they use it before bed to absorb the oil. I may try that, but I tend to sweat at night, so may not work for me.
Horrible residue 2
Stevielynnm from Austin
I got this as a gift from Ulta for my birthday and the residue from this dry shampoo was probably the worst I've ever experienced.
first dry shampoo I like 5
bernie from Arizona
I got this as a gift for my birthday at ulta. I have tried many dry shampoos and this is the first one I would actually spend money on. it makes my hair look washed but a little matted. made my hair easy to brush and it looks nice. overall super happy with this product. will be buying when I run out! for reference I have lighter brown / auburn hair and It had never been colored.
Don't like it 1
Mljspike21 from VA
Didn't like it the white residue is awful luckily mine was a free sample I was looking forward to this stuff for the price
