Most Helpful Positive Review Definitely give this product a try! I was a little worried about some of the negative reviews on this product, particularly the ones about not rinsing out. When I applied this mask I didn't use much and put it directly on my scalp (as close as possible). My scalp was very itchy and irritated and my hair was getting very dull in between shampoos. This product works wonders for me. My scalp hasn't felt this good in a long time - must have needed to get rid of all the build up! And my hair has remained shiny and smooth much longer than before. Highly recommend this product, just don't apply too much.
Most Helpful Critical Review Doesn't rinse out I used this as recommended from a trial size I received. It did feel nice on the scalp while sitting but I have tried twice now and both times end up with residue in my hair. Idk if it's because my hair is pretty long but I can pick the sand like particles off my scalp for at least a day following application.

As soon as I opened the box I was punched in the face with perfume. Made my nose burn and gave me a headache

This is the first scalp scrub I've ever used and I love it. Yes, the scent is reminiscent of cologne or a mens product, but I personally love that smell! The scrub invigorates my scalp and leaves it feeling clean. It's a great exfoliant for dead skin and product buildup. I have dry skin in general and even in the middle of winter it doesn't leave my scalp feeling dry. Definitely will keep purchasing!

I received this as a replacement gift from ipsy after they list didn't send something I purchased. (insert your non-shocked face here). Anyways, I really like this. A few things to know.
1. The tingle is super intense. like a cold tea tree feel but almost burning. Wasn't too intense for me but it might be for others
2. This isn't a shampoo folks. it's a scalp scrub. People feel like they have to use a crazy amount because they aren't using it properly. I use a medicated shampoo for my scalp so I actually applied this to my scalp and then my medicated shampoo to work that in a bit.
3. I also have curly hair so lots of buildup here. when not using my medicated shampoo I use a none lather shampoo and my hair purposefully isnt super clean\gets buildup. after this it immediately felt so clean, like while still wet.
I give it 4 stars because the tub is ridiculous. put it in a squirt bottle so the product is easily applied to your scalp. A whole team of folks can't figure that out?

I have a very sensitive and flaky scalp. I have tried sSO many different scalp scrubs throughout the years. This is by far the worst one I've ever used. The texture was decent. It took a half bottle just to properly cover and scrub my scalp. Once my scalp was lathered, I experienced the most awful burning sensation. I would NEVER recommend this product to anyone. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

I was pretty skeptical buying this based off the previous reviews. I have been battling dandruff my entire life and my scalp was doing great until I got a random exacerbation that I could not get rid of for a couple months. Once I stopped doing the Tik Tok curly girl method it definitely helped... go figure. After lots of research I figured my exacerbation this time must be from build up so I needed a detoxifying scrub. When I was reading the reviews I was nervous the little beads wouldn't scrub out of my hair because that happened to me using the Not Your Mothers activated charcoal detox scrub. Not this one! The beads came right out, the scrub smells amazing, and I haven't seen a flake since. So happy I decided to try it!

I love this. It sheds all the loose hair out and definitely leaves my scalp feeling wonderful. I've had almost no scalp problems since I started using it.
I use it once a week.
It does have a very strong scent. Plan to spend time washing out the exfoliating beads. It's work but totally worth is.

Got this in a Platinum trial set (gift for spending x amount of money on hair products). I have curly hair so I use a ton of products to keep my hair healthy/tamed and only wash 1-2x per week. I have a ton of buildup, itchy scalp, roots get greasy fast etc but I don't want to wash more often than I do so my curls stay healthy. The first time I used this product, my scalp felt completely clean (which it hasn't in literally years), my hair was shiny and actually looked healthier at the roots, and my roots did not get nearly as greasy as they usually do 2-3 days after washing. I've tried the dpHue ACV buildup remover, as well as using actual vinegar in my hair (does work sometimes!) and nothing made my roots/scalp nearly as clean as this did. I'm impatiently waiting for it to be back in stock so I can order the full size!

This felt wonderful while using! Very good amount of scrubby bits and nicely scented. Scalp felt refreshed after using all day long.
