Most Helpful Positive Review best Moisturizer! This is the best moisturizer I have ever had. I use it in the morning right after I wash my face and at night before i go to bed. It helps my face stay hydrated because i have dry skin during the day. I've tried Clinique products but they didnt work for me. Also be careful that it doesnt touch your eyes because it burns like hell! If it touches your eyes go wash it quickly with LOTS of water.
Most Helpful Critical Review Hello dry, itchy skin! I started using this product because a friend of mine, who has oily skin, recommended it and said it was the best she's ever used. The first time I used it, it had a weird, alcohol-like smell and it stung the sides of my nose. But, I ignored it as the sides of my nose are sensitive and always red. A couple of days later, I noticed that my face was always itching, but I ignored it and continued to use this moisturizer.
A full week later, I noticed my face was always extremely itchy and had dry, red patches on my cheeks and forehead. I stopped using it and substituted the St. Ives collagen moisturizer and applied calamine ointment on the itchy areas and days later, my skin was back to normal.
I was puzzled because I love Cetaphil's cleanser, and I thought I would love this as well!

This heated my face when I put it on which I assume is not a good sign. I returned this the next day.
My go-to daily moisturizer for 10+ years 5
Mal from IA
I've been using this daily moisturizer for over 10 years, from early college to almost 30 years old now. So, through MANY stages/ups and downs of skin change + acne. I have combo/dry skin and feel like it moisturizes my skin well without feeling too heavy or greasy. Makeup sits just fine on top of it. I also love the added SPF since I'm an active, outdoorsy person.. lots of running throughout the year especially. I remember having used other products before this + none seemed to work well with my skin for the price point. This one checks all the boxes for me, and I hope Cetaphil never changes it!
Watery & BURNS 2
Kitty from Philadelphia
This moisturizer burns my skin like crazy...when I initially put it on. Then it goes away after awhile. I took pictures of my skin before and after and seen visible redness and inflamed bumps on my skin. (Not pimples) which is worse bc I didn't know how to treat it. In the long run I feel like it made my face more dry. Everything in my routine has been exactly the same for 2 years now. Besides the moisturizer so I know that's the cause. And it's incredibly watery, feels like it evaporates before it even sinks into the skin. I would not buy unless you have VERY oily skin and can take the burning..
The best spf i've found 5
D from Portland, Or
great consistency, left my skin looking glowy and not sticky and this is the only spf i have found that works well
lightweight, absorbs quickly 5
CC from Virginia
I bought this at another store on a whim. I have oily acne prone skin, so I need something lightweight. I have really liked using this moisturizer over the last couple weeks. I haven't had any adverse reactions, including the burning that other reviews mention. I also don't think it increased my acne or oiliness. It's easy to spread on my skin and absorbs quickly. I'd buy this again.
Horrible 1
Roxie from Houston, tx
Even when you don't put it anywhere close to your eyes it burns so much. I'm taking them both back asap.

I don't have sensitive skin but after I put it on my face it immediately starts burning and making my skin red

i accidentally bought this instead of the cerave one bc i was half asleep and i'm really bummed about it. it burns my face so bad i literally cant even use it, it's going to have to go in the trash.
Made the mistake of buying this 1
Ribbit from Colorado Springs, CO
I wanted SO badly to like this because I have LOVED the cetaphil oil absorbing spf 30 moisturizer but this BURNS my skin and I don't have very sensitive skin. Honestly made the mistake of buying this one instead of the other but I wanted to power through and not waste the bottle. A week in and I literally can't do it anymore. Really should be spf 30 and I can't stand how much it burns my skin
Great product but have to reapply too often 3
Vanessa from Sacramento
The product promises amazing things that are crucial and important to your skincare like SPF15 but the directions state to reapply every two hours and I don't have time for that.
Burns!! 2

I don't really consider myself to have sensitive skin but this burned my face immediately. :(
Burned my Face :( 1

I have sensitive and dry skin and as soon as I put this on, it started burning real bad and left my face RED like a cherry :/ I even tried it twice to see if it was just the first try that made me react like that.
Catch 22 3
Micaela from Statham, GA
This moisturizer is currently part of my morning routine. It takes a while to fully absorb into my skin, so my skin looks greasy and shiny for a while. Using less of the product makes my skin feel dry by the end of the day, so it's a catch 22 situation: look greasy if I use the right amount or feel dry but not look greasy if I use less. I do get a nice healthy glow once my skin absorbs the product.
I plan to switch to a different moisturizer that I like better when I finish this bottle.
Love it 5
Sam from NYC
It works great on my oily skin!
Best sunscreen for sensitive skin!! 4
JayJay from Honolulu, HI
This sunscreen doesn't irritate my skin at all. My dermatologist always tells me to use this sunscreen!
But it is NOT good under makeup because it is kind of greasy and it won't make your makeup last long, especially for oily skin! Other than that, it's great on its own.
Love it! 5
Boy mama from Chester, VA
I love that it isn't thick. It has never caused pimples after I apply it. I've now bought this lotion 3 times. Three full bottles. I adore it. I'm hydrated, but not greasy.
Wouldn't recommend 2
April from MD
Works fine but if you get this too close to your eyes it'll sting like crazy also leaves a bad taste on the lips, which again isn't what you're aiming for but it takes too much being careful for me to want to repurchase
Too harsh for my sensitive skin 2
Sensitive sally from Boston, MA
I used to use this when I was in high school, and it worked great then! I decided to bring it back into my routine now. Now that I'm older (25), either I've changed or the product has! This burned my face! I have very sensitive skin, so this may just be a "me problem".
BURNS THE SKIN!!, 1
Dee with the Bun from Canada
I have sensitive and dry skin. Hoping that this product would relieve that, I decided to pick it up off the shelf and open the box today. Referring to the other comments, I had the same reaction to. As soon as I applied the product onto my skin within seconds, it started to make my face burn so much, not to be too dramatic. Although our skin types may be different from one another, for me this product is a product I would throw in the trash, should never have took it off the shelf.
Amazing 5
Nicole from Ohio
I have combination skin and i have never used a moisturizer because my face would break out so badly. I most recently got a dermaplane done and was recommended this product. I was nervous bc i didn't want my face to break out but My skin is the best it has been ever i feel like. I feel like my skin was breaking out because it needed moisture.
Nooooooo!!!!! 2
Jada from Ca
After washing my face I put it on and its started BURING. I don't know why but I wouldn't recommend it.
CETAPHIL Daily Moisturizer 5
Judyann from CT
Like it, scent free, have to use very little. I was hesitant to pay the price for such a small bottle, but now know it will last a while!
Burned my face 1
Ericaxashley from St Petersburg, FL
This product immediately burned my face after application. Ended up returning it.
bad for oily/combination skin 2
your local acne prone user from u.s.
I tried this moisturizer long ago and it sucked. The texture is sticky and thick. It also would get greasy after 2 hours and it did not moisturize at all. It also left a white cast over the face. I do not recommend for acne prone skin.
This is a staple in my skincare routine 5
Tricia from Irvine, CA
This moisturizer has worked wonders for me. It helped to calm the red blotches and bumps I developed on my skin from a reaction to a recently discovered gluten allergy. It was a lot like eczema, but with more bright red patches under my skin's surface. Now, my skin has never been smoother and my complexion is brighter, just one tone now versus red patches. I apply a light amount on my face and some on my neck and decolletage each day, and I use the eye gel as well. I haven't had skin issues in over a year now.
