I have defined waves, not coil-like curls, so I think my experience with this product will be different than those with curlier hair. I really liked it overall but felt like it didn't cleanse my hair completely, even after shampooing twice. I have pretty greasy hair and oily skin, so I always shampoo twice and can usually go 3-4 days without washing. My scalp needed another shampoo after just 2. It's definitely gentle and helps you retain moisture, but I think for anyone with straight roots and curly mids/ends, this might make you look too greasy.
