I've abundant, fine, blonde, wavy, shoulder-length hair. But I get ringlets if scrunch + air-dry with gel. No frizz with this: soft, bouncy, shiny results. Doesn't last for day 2, so I add a few extra curls with an iron day 2.

Let me preface this by saying I LOVE Ouidad. I've been using their products for over 15 years and they literally changed how I handle my curls AND the compliments I receive about them... I have fine hair and as I age (56) it seems to be thinning some. So I was excited about this product... Oh Baby... what a mistake! I couldn't help but wonder if this product was an April Fools joke as I purchased it on April Fools day... I first used it on April 2nd and felt meh about what my curls looked like they weren't really defined, more "fluffy." That said, it was a stormy day with high humidity. The following morning when I went to wash my hair it took me literally, and, I'm not kidding, 20 minutes to get through the snarls in my hair and my hair felt like velcro. Again, it had been stormy with high humidity, so I thought this could have contributed to the affect of the product on my hair. So, I tried it again on April 3rd, which was a fairly normal day, albeit cold, so this product should have been perfect since it is "volumizing." again, I had "fluff." but no defined curls and by the end of the day my bangs just looked blah. This morning as I was showering, it took me another 20 minutes to get through the snarls AND I had two large snarls that I was never able to get through and had to cut them out! Now, granted, the product suggests using the primer ahead of time for "best results." Most products recommend using something in conjunction for best results, but I've always had success with just Ouidad shampoo and Ouidad styling gel; I've never needed to add products for good results... but if I need to use the primer to keep the product from literally damaging my hair then there is a huge issue with the product. I don't like writing a bad review... like I said, I LOVE Ouidad!!! But I felt it was really important that others hear another perspective on this product.

I got this as a sample with my order. I used it on wash day and will just say I WAS AMAZED! It is the perfect product for loose, medium consistency waves. It helps tame frizz and leaves my hair feeling soft. I bought the full size the next day!!!
You Will Fall In Love!

I absolutely love this Curl Shaper Out of Thin (H)air Volumizing Jelly! My hair is long, fine, and wavy and when I'm in a humid climate I love the curl that I'll get in my hair. However, I live in the desert and to get my hair to naturally curl it requires effort. This gel has taken that effort and cut it waaaay back! It makes it so easy to get a beautiful natural wave out of my hair. I have never loved a styling product more. Thank you for bringing this gel into my life, I highly recommend trying it if you haven't fallen in love with it already!
