How To Use

Very happy customer!Purchased this after many much research in the Curly-Girl-World. I did the mousse-gel-mousse method, followed by 10 min of cool setting of a diffuser and then once a cast formed, scrunched out when dry with Cakes' Locksmith Dry Conditioner spray. I use a silk bonnet to sleep with over my hair each night and refreshed the next morning with the Locksmith again, its Sunday, so I'm enjoying being lazy and want to see, w/o any styling, how the hold, volume, softness and curl hold up through the day. I have chin length 3b and 3c curls, mostly grey with scattered salt and pepper, coarse and very dry and frizzy hair. I'd been using Redken Curvaceous for years, but it seems they're phasing that out, so I went looking for another product line to fall in love with. This is NOT my first product line I've tried. Pro's: 1. SUPER volume, bounce and hold! 2. I've NEVER had curls like this, especially the day after! Large, voluminous and soft! Very happy 3. Thick and creamy, very easy to use. 4. Hair wasn't sticky or tacky, I appreciate and noticed that after mousse in place. Cons: Wished I could've purchased entire line on here, but some things were out of stock, and thats ok, I will STILL be coming back! Would recommend and very happy customer!! PLEASE REMEBER I've done NOTHING but refresh it this morning to see how the curl holds up as I'm going no-where! Yes, its messy!Okay for a curl creamThis curl cream is okay. I really like the scent, it reminds me of lemon Girl Scout cookies. I've used this several times already and far as defining my curls goes, the best this cream seems to be able to do is give me soft waves. With the right products my curls can range from 2B to 3A, but I struggled to get any really defined curls with this cream. This cream didn't do much for frizz either, but frizz is a tall order for any curl cream to manage on it's own and I always pair my curl creams with other products to manage frizz. Also, because this product contains silicones and drying alcohols, it might not work for those using the Curly Girl/Curly Guy Method for their curls. I will definitely use up the rest of my container, but I wouldn't repurchase.

I tried this product and fell in love! my hair is curly, but nothing that I have used made my hair as billowy and baby soft as this! I will try the mask, shampoo, conditioner and hair oil! Will keep buying this brand! And it smells like icing!

Great for 3a!

This is one of my favorite curl creams right now! I love the smell and it keeps my 3a curls soft and light. It's definitely a lighter hold and I occasionally have some frizz/puffing if I lack on my styling technique. I would buy this again, especially for the price!

I love this product (The Curl Friend)!!! It moisturizes my hair without leaving it heavy, stiff, wet-looking, or oily! Fantastic stuff! I noticed that it also makes my hair curlier / wavier as well as super soft to the touch! I went back to Ulta within 2 weeks and bought a second tube of it, just to have it when I need it!

I have short wavy flat hair. I used this after I dampened my hair. Added the product and let it air dry. I have just enough curls and volume .
