Most Helpful Positive Review The best product for holding curls Great replacement for original LP curl line. My hair has once again have people stopping me to ask how I get such gorgeous curls. For perfect curls which last until you next wash, either layer the gel with the curl cream or mix the 2 together, dispersing evenly from roots to ends. I also use a very tiny bit of the curl conditioner 1st, as a leave-in product.
Most Helpful Critical Review Only For Tight Curls I just started wearing my hair curly and its a learning curve. I live in S. Fl and just got a bob. Its now just touching my shoulders. I have loose curls, very dry hair and have been using the Living Proof Restore and Alterna Caviar line for years. After washing my I sectioned off and raked a quarter size amount of the Curl Definer .That was way to much as this product is very rich and emollient. I had to re shower and start over,
and blow out with my diffuser. Because my curls re so limp is not a product for my type hair. Sadly must return.
I will now try the Ouidad Climate Control gel and will update you soon.

I took a chance in trying this product and I and glad that I did. It gives your curls a natural look. My hair wais shiney and frizz free. Definately recommend if youare looking for a gel that provides curls what they need.

The best I can say about this gel is it's okay. It's not terrible, except for the smell (I REALLY don't like it). It does do a good job of holding my curls, but it's easy to use too much, and then you end up with kind of greasy hair. If you don't mind the smell, and you're really conservative with the amount you use, you might like it. As I said, it does work.

I followed directions, used a minimal amount. It's very hit or miss. One time it stayed soft, but I had sections that didn't curl. Another time it got crunchy, still had straight sections. I used alone and with the moisturizing oil. Really wouldn't buy it because, for one it's inconsistent but, for another it's suggested for use with other products in this line only.

I have been trying several different curl gels, even ones from my professional salon and this one beats them all! It doesn't make you curls feel stiff or "crunchy" but holds the curls really well. It still gives you that natural curl look.

I use this product after a leave in conditioner while my hair is still very wet from washing. Scrunch it into your hair and you will love your curls after it dries

I use the shampoo, conditioner, and curl definer with the gel. I have always had a problem with itchy scalp but not since I started using these. My hair and scalp love this. It's the perfect amount of hold for me. I can use the gel to refresh and it doesn't build up in my hair like other gels. My curls look even better second and third day.

I have thick but fine 2c and 3a curls. A combination of Curl Enhancer in the shower and then this after I have had it in a microfiber towel for a bit gives me GORGEOUS, full curls.They are more
defined and tighter than they have been in a long time. It leaves a cast when dry - just crunch it and I am good to go!
I prefer the styling cream over this gel 3

I prefer the cream to the gel. The cream defines the Gaia & leaves a soft natural texture. The gel left my hair feeing crunchy & stiff.

This has the perfect weightless hold for my very fine, wavy hair! It's pricey but if you don't have super thick hair and want a little hold, you don't need a ton. Only con is it's not great for frizz control but I'll take volume with a little frizz over weighed down hair any day.

I did try this product more than once but sadly it had too much alcohol or my curly hair just didn't like it because my hair felt like dry and tangled and still frizzy unfortunately

Nice smell, and curls my hair well its just that the hold is too light for me. It also has good second day hold potential if you wrap your hair for sleep. I'll put it as second option as I like it but want a stronger hold for my taste. I use it with the curl definer cream from living proof and it mixes well together to have a bit of hold, define my curls, and decrease frizz.

I was so excited to see Living Proof finally come out with a curly product line! But, this was not a winner for me. I will say I combined this product with other products, so maybe that's the issue, but this left me with less formed curls and more frizz.

I love this new gel! Perfect for my curly/wavy hair. I apply when my hair is wet, after wearing a turbie twist for about 5 min. Comb my hair out and add the gel! Scrunch up! Then I difuse. Such a nice light cast. I go to sleep and wake up with gorgeous body and frizz free curls. I've already been told my curls look beautifull after I used this by a random lady!!! Locally made in Boston! I appreciate that! Also no silicone!!
