How To Use

Smooth and CalmingI received this as a free sample for review from PinchMe.com. Maybe it is just my hair but I was a little disappointed in my hair texture and smoothness when my hair dried after using this. I used it with the Verb Curl Shampoo and the two together offer great results. The conditioner formula is so creamy, I could feel it seeping through my hair and onto my scalp immediately eliminating the frizz I had from being outside. Even after I got out of the shower my hair felt so smooth and sleek but as it started to dry I noticed the texture of my hair, while smooth to the touch, seemed rather dry in some places. Typically when I use a hydrating curl conditioner my hair will be quite smooth but not as much as I would have liked with this conditioner. That's not to say this didn't do a great job taming my frizz and defining my loose curls, I would have just liked to have had more of a silky feel after all was said and done.This conditioner isn't for my hair.The Verb Curl conditioner has a perfumy scent that I don't love. Luckily, the scent isn't overpowering once dry. The shampoo dries my hair out a bit when washing it, but the conditioner helps add some of that moisture back to my hair. Unfortunately, this conditioner doesn't do as good of a job adding moisture as similar products have. I have naturally wavy hair that feels weighed down a bit when using this combined with the Verb Curl Shampoo. I did feel that my hair has been a bit less frizzy since using this product, which I really appreciated. I have read plenty of reviews that claim this conditioner works really well for their curly hair, but it just isn't for me. The price isn't bad for this conditioner, so it isn't a huge loss for those who want to try it, though.

This leaves my hair brittle immediately upon application. Even before rinsing, it feels like all of the knots are cemented in place by the conditioner, when with other products the knots are easier to get out before rinsing the conditioner out.

probably better for wavy hair

( for reference i have low porosity , thick , dense 3a/3b hair. ) this conditioner has absolutely no slip lol. i usually dry detangle with oil before my shower so it wasnt too much of a problem but was def kinda annoying. it was too thin for what i prefer and not moisturizing enough after rinsing. ill finish the bottle for sure but def not rebuying even on a sale. i did notice that my hair was clumping in chunkier sections than usual and i got good definition so this would probably work best for someone with less dry, wavier hair. dont even bother if u have a tighter texture than mine. also i have scalp eczema and certain conditioners break me out and this didnt do that so if that a concern for u then ur good !

i bought this & the matching shampoo a few months ago. not a fan of the shampoo and will not be finishing the bottle- but i will use this conditioner until it's gone. however, i won't be re-purchasing. it smells similar to the MAC foundation- which i know is such a specific thing, however i enjoy it. the drying aspect, you can definitely feel that it has alcohol or some other kind of drying ingredient. i am seeming to have a lot of misses with this brand, and will most likely go back to using shea moisture products!
