Most Helpful Positive Review Absolute best value I have worn bright lipstick since I was 14. Now at age 73 I can't wear it without a primer that prevents feathering and have tried basically every option at all price points - most have serious defects or become unavailable at a moment's notice. So glad I now have found this ULTA primer, which performs at the same level as the $30 product (the only other one that really works) at a very reasonable price. I'm highly recommend this and hope ULTA keeps offering it.
Most Helpful Critical Review I'm NOT happy with the new formula. Normally, I don't leave negative reviews. I just don't use the product again and move on. However, this time it's different. I was a faithful user of the MAC lip primer. However, I started looking for a dupe as the MAC is expensive. I found it in the PREVIOUS Ulta lip primer. Recently, I went in to make a purchase only to find the primer in new packaging. I do agree the delivery method needed changing and with the package change, the product came out much of the tube better. That's what I like about the new package. However, the formula was CHANGED as well. I used the previous Ulta lip primer for nearly four years. I loved it. No problems. Within 30 minutes of applying the product in the new packaging, the outer edge of my lips began to burn. I thought I was my lipstick. I tried several different lipsticks with no change. Still burned. As an experiment, I gave my lips a break over the weekend using NO products at all. I still had a small amount of the previous Ulta lip primer so Monday morning I began using the older lip product again. I used it all day with no burning at all. At that moment,I knew it was the new primer. The formula had been changed. Sadly, I am looking for a new primer (a good dupe hopefully). If not, it's back to the MAC counter for me.

It goes on smoothly and doesn't feel heavy. I can't really tell if it's doing anything though.

Must have! 5

This product is great to put on your lips and prepare them for lipstick application. Fills in cracks and makes lips feel soft. Lipstick applies easily ad looks great!
I was looking for something to smooth the lines in my lips 4

I was looking for something to fill in lip lines and moisturizer lips. This product does moisturizer, but I still see the lines.

I have been using this primer for years. This has been a really good product for me. I have thin lips and this product does a great job priming and pumping my lips. the products fills in nicely between the little wrinkles in my lips, and my liner and gloss go on really well over it. I do miss the older version, just because I really liked the vanilla smell of the last version of this product. But this newer version works really well too.
Not what I expected 2

I wanted a product that would keep my lipstick from bleeding into fine lip lines and setting my lip color.
It left a residue. Lip liner and lipstick did not apply smoothly over it.
I would definitely buy this lip primer again for sure. 5

I love love this product
So-So 3

It helps with the lip stick feathering, but doesn't prevent it the way others have in the past
Keeps liquid lip color even and in place. 4

I use this under liquid lip color for the most part. It keeps the color even and lasting longer than it would without. It is a little bit too lip balmy for use with matte stick lip color, but great for liquid!

Bought this to replace the Too Faced Lip Primer that was discontinued. This works just as good and is much cheaper!

I've done all the things to keep my liquid lipstick lasting all day - exfoliate, moisturize, and now use lip primer. From what I can tell, the lip primer does nothing to keep lipstick on my lips
Does what it says!!! 5

Love how this product helps to keep my lips moist but holds my color as it says it will.
Disappointed 2

I am a very new make up wearer and I was told that using the lip primer would help my lipstick last longer. It didn't. The Ulta Lipstick is amazing and actually ladted longer without the primer, even with eating and drinking. The primer is a good corrector if you need to clean up lip liner mistakes.
Love product 5

I use this before applying my lipstick, especially on workdays. Keeps the lipstick lasting longer and my lips conditioned. I use a sugar scrub to exfoliate my lips prior to applying this product.
good lip conditioner 4

I like how it conditions my lips without drying out my lipstick
Not what I thought 2
Bec from Ohio
I was anticipating that it would help my lipstick be longer lasting but instead my lipstick just sat on top of the primer and came off on everything. It was embarrassing when I realized I had been walking around with just lip liner. Gave it two stars because it did make my lips soft on days I went without lipstick.
