How To Use

Massage into clean, wet hair for 1-3 minutes. Comb through. Rinse. Use once or twice a week for colour maintenance, more for persistent discolouration.

Excellent productI use the shampoo and conditioner twice a week. Excellent products. I have fine, straight hair and the shampoo and conditioner made it feel thicker, fuller without making it look or feel dry. I have dark blonde natural hair and having 3 different shades of blond highlights makes it difficult to maintain that salon look after a few weeks of shampooing and conditioning at home. I have used expensive products before but none compare to this one. After the first use I was able to see the difference in color. Even my coworkers noticed the difference. The pigment in the products changed the yellow color of my highlights and added a silver tone to them. I am very happy with my purchase. I recommend even for dry scalp. I know it's not meant for that but from the first wash I noticed my scalp was not dry anymore and the flaky white pieces of dry skin are no longer there. One more thing: I am sensitive to strong fragrances and this product has a very subtle and pleasant fragrance and does not bother me at all. I can't find any fault with this product!Drying - but smelled greatIts kind of my fault - I didn't check the label carefully to see that the Sterling Silver Shampoo & Conditioner are not Sulfate free. Pro: The smell is fantastic - tropical, sort of Pina Colada. Cons - After 2 uses my hair felt dry, and more straw-like.

I love this hair care line for my silver hair and have used it for several years. The only drawback I find is that it is on the more expensive side and since I've retired I've had to find a more cost effective alternative.

I've had platinum hair for a few years and have tried several toning shampoos/conditioners. This does genuinely tone hair a significant amount which impressed me. The fragrance was also nice. But honestly, this made my hair feel awful. The conditioner somehow both feels like it isn't hydrating enough and it weighs hair down (I don't know how else to describe the way it feels). The shampoo is excessively harsh. Using this shampoo/conditioner set left me feeling really gross. Not dirty, but like my hair had been dipped in a wet plastic coating. It felt SO MUCH like something from that 2000's era of haircare where shampoo was excessively drying and conditioner was full of heavy silicones. Obviously other folks feel differently, but I genuinely have no idea who this would work for or why other people seem to be having such a different reaction. All I can say is that my experience was negative. I wanted to like this but I do not. The intensity of the toning is the only benefit to using this product line that I can see. For context: my hair is 2B, high porosity/bleached (roots are medium porosity), and fine but dense.

I have tried switching and trying other products but always come back to this AG conditioner. It is literally the only purple conditioner that really gets my hair to the ashy tone that I like. If you love an ashy tone and hate grassiness, try this! If you use it too often and too long you can start seeing little purple/silver gray highlights on your really blonde pieces, but I kind of like that so it doesn't bother me!
