How to Use
Rated 4.19 out of 5 stars
I have been using this pressed powder for at least a year. No matter what the weather is like this matt powder always looks fresh and natural. I have fair skin. When the season changes to warm and I am getting more sun I choose a darker shade to suit my skin tone. One of the main reasons I use this powder is to use it like a base to cover and smooth out any imperfections or color variations. This product never lets me down !
I got this product because I'd ran out of a silca based transparent powder from Wet & Wild. Usually I think the more expensive brands have better quality, and this matched the brand of my foundation so I thought they'd work together great. Sadly, I was wrong. Revlon doesn't seem to know what transparent means, this powder has a pink base, paired with my yellow undertoned foundation it turns me orange. This happens almost every time I try to buy something labled as "transparent", apparently no one has ever heard of a pale girl with yellow undertones. I'll go back to my $0.99 brand next time.

I'm not crazy about Revlon face products. Their eyebrow pencil is ok, bit I can never find a good match in their foundation or powder.

I think my shade was off, but for a drugstore product I really enjoyed it. It didn't come with sunscreen, but in humid Florida I only had to reapply once so I definitely recommend this product and I may try a different shade.

I love this powder because the coverage is almost tranparent and wears well. However, after about 30 days of gentle and normal usage, the case always falls apart. I am so disgusted that I'll have to find another brand. It's happened to me at least 6 times.

I used this compact with great enthusiasm if it had a good smell, but I did not like it at all, its texture is like talcum powder, it easily went from the skin, my face became much oilier and I did not achieve the translucent effect I wanted.❌

I have very oily skin and unfortunately my face feels greasy within a short time. I don't think it's the product it's just my skin type.

Can't figure out how to use the mirror and apply powder . You have Theo close the powder side to see the mirror .

this pressed powder is great it sets up foundation and whole face makeup in place and u can also apply it straight to the skin and it will look like soundatipn and even out the skintone and is very very lightweight

I keep almost buying an expensive one (been eyeing the Charlotte tilbury) and then I'm like why? This one works great for me - sets my makeup, and mattifies & blurs wonderfully. It really pulls my whole look together and makes it all look silky and smooth. I know makeup is not one size fits all, but this really works for me. Two thumbs up!

It's good, I like it cus leaves your face pretty soft and natural. I'd like that the make up endures more but it doesn't.

This isn't a bad pressed powder. I find I have to use a bit more of this than I would some other brand. Having to use more gives it a whitish powder look on me so I really need to blend it in. Once it's on and blended in it has a nice matte finish. I wouldn't get again, but it may be perfect for someone else.

I can't remember if I've written a review for this before, but seeing as I'm still using this powder after several years I guess another can't hurt. My high school best friend used this and loved it and that was 18 years ago. I didn't try it back then because I was stuck on powder foundation and continued to use it for many years. I finally tried this powder 5+ years ago and got hooked. It's super smooth and I can reapply it during my day without it getting heavy. (But if you go hard, as with any powder, it will eventually look cakey.) My face makeup for these last several years has been Nars RCC in Vanilla and this powder in Light. Just enough to even things out, cover breakouts/acne marks, and tame my super oily skin. The powder adds a touch of color to help with evening everything, but I still absolutely see my skin through it. It doesn't break me out, which is a rarity since my skin is VERY particular with anything that goes on it. And it doesn't look "soupy" or like it's floating on my skin if can't use blotting papers for awhile and my oils really come through. I also feel it stays on well and doesn't come off much onto blotting papers. The reason I give this 4/5 stars is the lack of color options. THERE SHOULD BE MORE. Revlon has had the same limited shades in this powder for decades. By now they should have some dark shades! Also, the Light shade does oxidize a touch on me but that's usually after a few hours or so. Ideally I'd be between Fair and Light due to that, but I still stick to Light because the oxidation is so minimal that I know it's really only noticeable to me.

I've tried many different brands of pressed powder. From inexpensive drugstore brands to high end expensive brands. I keep coming back to Revlon Color Stay Pressed Powder, because it works better than anything else. It stays on even when it's hot and humid outside, and never looks cakey or unnatural. It's alright I'd prefer liquid over powder bc powder is to messy and liquid isn't. It blends nicely but it's just to messy

I'm glad Revlon decided to add darker shades to this powder. Let me start off by saying that the texture is super fine because Revlon jet-mills their powders. I love that this powder is top notch for the price. My problem is that the newer shades from Cappuccino on down turn much darker and ashen when you apply it. :( I love, love, love this powder but back to the drawing board with the darkest shades.

I am so in love with this pressed powder. I suffer from hyperhidrosis on most of my upper body. Even with the best settings sprays I need to touch up with face powder and prefer a compact that I can throw in my purse. I got this as I had a coupon earlier this year. It is awesome. I still need to touch up if out for long, but only once as opposed to 3 or more times. I love it so much I just bought a darker shade yesterday as I am using sunless tanner this year (I was sick of looking pale and sick). [product:revlon-colorstay™-pressed-powder]

I like this makeup it goes on pretty smooth and covers well but the only thing it can make it looked too caked on.

I've been using this for years to set my concealer and reduce shine. It always works beautifully, it's very easy to find, and is affordable. This is a beauty staple for me.
