Most Helpful Positive Review Skin like finish! I recently bought this in creme burle its a perfect match for a light skin tone. If you want a sheer/light foundation this stuff is amazing. If your looking for med. To full coverage this is not for you or if your looking to cover alot of problem areas. The wear time is great as it lasts 12 hours on my combo dry skin with a good moisturizer beneath it. The finish is gorgeous and lasts. Great go to for everyday.
Most Helpful Critical Review Worst foundation I've ever used I really wanted to like this because of the high spf, but I've thrown it away. I'm 49, and I have large pores and creases under my eyes. I tried this foundation with an endless combination of primers/moisturizers under it, applied with fingers, brushes, and various sponges, and no matter what I do it's impossible to blend.
If you apply it with fingers, it pools in your pores. If you apply it with a sponge, it never looks even. If you apply it with a brush, it sets with streaks in it before you can get an even application. If I wear nothing or a light moisturizer under it, it settles in my pores and gives me a polka-dotted face. If I wear it with a primer or a rich moisturizer, it goes on more smoothly, but breaks up and creases during the day, AND it's like shining a spotlight on my pores that makes them look much worse than they actually are. This on is just one big, epic fail.

Revlon colorstay original liquid foundation was my HOLY GRAIL in highscool. Literally no other foundation was going on my face but that one. Good coverage but not heavy or too full but yet buildable and definitely lasted! However, the older I've gotten, the less coverage I want. I like a light to medium coverage and I felt this would be a great try and 2nd time wearing it- I like it! Blends nicely and looks natural.

Not for me 3

This made my face look cakey and dry.

This is my favorite lightweight foundation. It looks fresh, not heavy and the perfect amount of coverage for me. I hope it is NEVER discontinued.
ColorStay Light Cover Foundation 3
Chicky from Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
Tried this foundation as I could no longer buy the ColorStay Stay Natural makeup. I have used the Stay Natural makeup for years as it stays put and is creamy yet still a light coverage when applied and does look natural. However, the new Light Cover Foundation falls short in comparison to the Stay Natural. I bought the Medium Beige which is the same colour I used in the Stay Natural but found it to be a lot more pink based and not the same Medium Beige colour at all. Disappointed in this new Light Cover Foundation. Please bring back the Stay Natural!
Stunning! 5

I actually quite like this, it is easy to use and looks so natural on the skin. It is almost like a tinted moisturizer but just not as hydrating. The shade Ivory is a perfect match for my skin tone but definitely needs a better shade range. The staying power is on point, even during a heatwave.
Tacky finish 3
Einahpets from Texas
I put this foundation on like an hour ago and it feels like it's still trying to dry. It's tacky to the touch. I don't think I'll but this again.
strange 4
zoe from us
Nice light coverage but shades are v weird, i got neutral beige which is my usual colour but it was weirdly grey?? also the darker shades in this collection aren't great because this does actually give you some coverage, your skin tone is important but there's not enough shades
I will return wrong shade 1

I love product but she selected wrong shade
Disappointed 1
Pukeko from Nelson, New Zealand
Purchased two weeks ago, and very disappointed.
Shade on bottle: Medium Beige, but! It's very pale, have tried building the colour up, but the foundation doesn't blend very well.
My skin has become very dry since using product.
Would not recommend at all.
Spoke to a lady in the chemist, and apparently there's been numerous complaints about this product
I'm giving it two 2
ctinn from undisclosed
I'm giving it two stars because of the SPF but it's a really bad foundation. The first time I used it I used my fingers which normally gives me a perfect even coverage. It was so thick and heavy and cakey that the next time I used a damp beauty blender and I thought it would be okay but even after lightly setting it with powder it was less than an hour before it was separating and looking terrible.
Revlon Ma'am! 3
DarkAndDusky from Worcester, MA
I purchased the first shade in Mocha which was the closest to my skin tone. It turns out it was too ashy so I exchanged it for the darkest shade Java and that shade ended up being too dark. I have no idea how Revlon managed to skip the vast majority of African American skin tones becuase it's quite a leap between the two shades. It's a shame becuase this foundation is BOMB! It covers so well and it dries down to a soft matte finish. I love the dropper and the fact that this a true drop foundation. The formula is superior for the drugstore and it feels so light on my skin. I can feel my skin breathe. Yes, I did a fan test. I also wanted to mention that no primer is needed and you can apply this with your fingers.
Now, on to expanding the shade range Revlon. I'm dark brown with a red undertone BTW.

This foundation is very thin, but applies very nice especially if your looking for minimal coverage!! Great price! All in all I love it!! Revlon Colorstay Light Cover Foundation
Not my favorite 2
Alexandra from San Diego
I love the fact this product has SPF, but the color is way too light. I feel like I am putting pure sunscreen on and no coverage. Will be returning.
With the warmer summer 5
skincarecanbefun from undisclosed
With the warmer summer months ahead this is a great foundation that he not gotten the respect it deserved when it was launched. It has a full spectrum SPF. Comes in a wide array of shades and is highly pigmented. I used to wear the sport formula and now I use this on my days out in the sun when I have to wear makeup. Check this affordable find out when you get a chance.
So easy to work 4

So easy to work with, perfect for everyday wear. Not super full coverage but for everyday go to work makeup this is the perfect product that will not break the bank!
Not great 2
Molly from Chicago
I love the original colorstay foundation, so I thought I'd give the lighter version a try for the summer. It looked very dry on me (normal to dry skin), almost like it just sat on top of the skin. Definitely will not repurchase.
It was okay 3
MPettus921 from Clarksville, TN
I think this would be great for someone with normal or even dry skin. I bought this because it was recommended by an influencer who has combination skin and she raved about it. I am very oily in the t-zone. I used a good primer, powder, and setting spray but after a couple of hours this foundation separated on my nose and forehead. I gave it to a friend with normal skin.
My Dermatologist recommended zinc 4
sarahw277 from undisclosed
My Dermatologist recommended zinc as a sun block. I still want a foundation with good sunscreen and coverage of a foundation. This has Zinc and Titanium! 4 stars as it doesn't look dewey/soft. I will wear this running errands, not out on a date that is smoother! Will try with a primer soon! Revlon Colorstay Light Cover Foundation
Revlon's original Colorstay foundation 5
ingredy from undisclosed
Revlon's original Colorstay foundation is a classic (you'll find it farther down on this list), but if you're looking for a little less coverage for a more no-makeup makeup look, the new Colorstay Light Cover formulation will become your everyday go-to. The remarkably adaptable shades help your complexion look fresh and even for 12 hours, all the while offering SPF 35 protection.
This is great for oily skin, actually dries down. 5
MP from texas
Been looking for something at a decent price that does this. I have oily/combo skin and this actually dries down, evens out my skin tone and the spf doesn't hurt either. It's not going to cover acne or your under eye circles, I use a concealer for that- but it makes my skin look really good which is all I want for a day to day foundation.
The only con on this is that it will settle into texture, because it does dry down. So if I do have any dry patches I do have to make sure I am moisturizing, I also use a pore filling primer with this. Oh! and the shades are a little wild. I am very pale and the lightest neutral shade made me look pasty. I bought a deeper shade to mix, which works out because sometimes I like to self tan- but I would order the "deeper" shade if you are debating between two. I wound up getting Buff & Tawny
A bit disappointed 2
Kristi from Cincinnati, OH
I bought this product hoping it would be more on the tinted moisturizer end. Rather, it was more of a light/liquid formula that is really hard to spread without the assistance of a moisturizer. Then when I put it on with a moisturizer, the color payoff weakens immensely (it's already light in the first place). So it's kind of a catch 22 for me. I like the idea, but the actual product is challenging for me to use.

I pray that y'all are working on listening to your consumers, expanding your range and working on these undertones because being the enormous brand that you are, this is really not cutting it, especially in 2021. Please visit

Great Coverage and Long-Lasting But it Emphasized 4
bowlergirlj from undisclosed
I got this foundation in a Voxbox during the winter, which is a time I don't really wear foundation because my skin is very dry. While it did emphasize the dry spots of my skin, I did really like the coverage and how long it stayed on my skin. Hopefully I'll get more use out of this foundation in the warmer spring/summer months.
